Judge David Katz is the president of the National Council of Judges Juvenile and Family Court Judges. We talk about access to justice and what that looks like in and out of the courtroom. We outline all the inefficiencies and rounded them out with some solutions that are currently being implemented. We hope this episode provides you with knowledge, empowerment, and most of all hope. In this episode, Eda goes through why it is important on knowing what you want from your legal career but most importantly how to figure it out in the first place! 

1. Question One: Why do you want to advance your legal career? Is it for your family, yourself, or for more money? Really digging deep into why you want to advance is important because that’s what is going to keep you going. That’s the key to unlocking your full potential and beyond. So really narrowing you're why down is important. Your answer may look like “well I want a more flexible schedule but still make more money because I want to spend more time traveling, hanging out with friends and family, and focusing on my hobbies.” That way when you think about your why you get excited and motivated. 
2. Question Two:  Where are you right now in this moment? Are you at the beginning, middle, or long end of your career? Are you fresh out of the oven or have you been baking for a long time? Understanding where you stand now can help you get to where you want to go. So that brings me to my last question. 
3. Question three: Where do you want to go with it? Do you want to be a manager? Do you want to own or grow your business? Do you want to move out of an entry-level position into a higher-level position? Have you been in the business for so long that you just want a change?
