Despite being a pro baseball player in the 1940s and 50s, and holding a Master's Degree, he continues to be held down because of the color of his skin. But when a renegade Watcher takes it upon himself to get rid of Carl for good, Duncan steps in to help his old friend

When a stunt performer dies filming in the Dojo, Duncan worries for the safety of the star, Jimmy Sang. Turns out, he may be in some heat with the Tong, and their leader Johnny Leong. Charlie wants to cut Jimmy a bit of slack, it wasn't easy growing up on the streets

Amanda is back, and that can only mean trouble for Duncan. Also, we flash back to pre-war Germany where MacLeod and his friend Werner are trying to get a physicist out of the country

Well, not every episode can be a great one, and The Zone is decidedly not that. A man named Canaan is abusing the denizens of "The Zone", a poor part of town. MacLeod and Charlie try to stop him

When Richie and Duncan stop an attempted assassination by the IRA, their leader Annie Devlin vows revenge on Richie for the death of her mortal husband. Meanwhile, Duncan buys DeSalvo's Martial Arts as he attempts to move on with his life, after the loss of Tessa

Duncan asks Tessa to marry him after a fortune teller delivers a message that Tessa may be in danger. A rogue Watcher is kidnapping the significant others of immortals to use as bait, and lure them to a trap, taking their heads. He takes Tessa and Duncan must find her before it's too late. 

Duncan meets up with his old friend Micheal Moore just after he is told about an immortal killer named Quenten Barnes has escapes confinement and is loose again. Reluctantly Dawson gives MacLeod information that the Watchers have on Barnes in the hopes Duncan can take him off the board for good. But Moore and Barnes are more than just adversaries.

Duncan also looks to join a local Dojo run by Charlie DeSalvo, and must prove he is worthy to train there

Duncan's old friend Gregor is in town, but he seems different. He has little empathy, and a nihilistic look at the world. Also in town, is an old flame of Duncan's, who did not know of his immortality. She is terminally ill, but will Duncan reveal his secret to her before she passes?
