LEXCHAT with LexC

I've gotten a good amount of requests to do the harmony breakdown for the acappella I posted last year of me singing the song "Rain" by SWV. I apologize for taking so long to make this video, but I hope this helps everyone who requested it.

After listening back, I realize that I did slightly different harmonies in the chorus for this breakdown than what was done in the original acappella, but it all still sounds good haha. Let me know what you think in the comments below, and let me know if there are any other songs you'd like harmony breakdowns for!

03:05 INTRO

      - 03:36 Harmony 1

      - 04:24 Harmony 2

      - 05:58 Harmony 3

      - 07:02 Demonstration of INTRO

 08:59 VERSE

      - 09:26 Demonstration of VERSE

 10:17 CHORUS

      - 11:04 Harmony 1

      - 12:11 Harmony 2

      - 12:52 Harmony 3

      - 13:31 Demonstration of CHORUS

I found this post on Instagram and wanted to dig into it! Watch or listen to understand why many artists fail before they even begin!

0:45 1#1 - Zero focus on branding

07:22 #2 - Poor music quality

12:02 #3 - Poor work ethic

I really enjoyed reading the autobiography of Etta James and have learned so many things from her. What should my next read be?

When the topic of your song changes, so should your tone and performance of it. Make your music more interesting by playing the part depending on what you're talking about!

Believe it or not, as it pertains to singing, your entire body is an instrument. Posture, or the positioning of your body, affects how well you can hit notes!
