兩年後，竊賊終於被抓到了，然而在法庭上，他大肆宣揚自己的愛國心，最終獲得人民支持，而被輕判。如今的蒙娜麗莎，獲得層層保護，盡管後來有人對他潑硫酸、丟石頭、塗奶油，她依然在防彈玻璃後面，用一抹淺淺的微笑，笑看這群無法傷害到他的愚蠢之徒。
