Welcome to the Her On Top Podcast, Season 2, Episode 7! Kayla tells the sacred feminine story of the Virgin Mary and discusses why our understanding of this story and the word 'virgin' has been so skewed. Kayla poses a different definition of the word 'virgin', meaning a woman unto herself. Kayla asks the question, what would your life be like if you had grown up with this version of the story of Mary and this definition of the word 'virgin'? What would it mean to be a woman unto yourself?

Welcome to the Her On Top Podcast, Season 2, Episode 2! Kayla sheds light on the insanity our world is currently in right now when it comes to access to abortion and women's health care. With the 2 year anniversary since Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court, Kayla tells her own personal story of seeking and having an abortion to help other mothers seeking abortion or women who just simply do not want to become mothers feel normal and justified in their right to the decision that is best for them. Kayla provides the statistic that 6 out 10 women who seek abortions already have at least one child and half of those women have at least two children. The majority of women seeking abortion are mothers and yet we never hear their stories. Here is one story to give women a sense of community and solidarity. Kayla wants to make her voice known and not shy away from this topic just because our country is trying to silence women's voices and experiences. This is an important election year and our voices and stories can make a difference.

Welcome to the Her On Top Podcast, Season 2 Episode 1! Kayla addresses the shift to the podcast becoming a solo show and where Alex has gone. Kayla then discusses where she has been these last few months and what has been influencing her new direction for the podcast. Kayla talks about Kate Northrup and Sarah Jenks and how they have been extremely influential in guiding her to wanting to work solely with women in her practice and on this podcast. Kayla then discusses cyclical living and the 4 phases of the menstrual cycle. Kayla explains the different energy levels women and people with wombs have in each phase and why this knowledge matters. Kayla questions what could have been different if this was what we learned about periods and the menstrual cycle instead of all the shameful narratives. Kayla ends by sharing how women can use this knowledge to be more reverent and caring towards themselves and their bodies and feel more connected to their inner strength and power.

Sex and relationships can be scary, taboo, and hard to talk about. Do you ever feel like sex is a chore that you have no time for? Do you feel like sex is not for you and are only concerned about if your partner is getting what they need? Do you struggle with desire for sex or reaching orgasm? Maybe you feel like even talking about sex makes you squirm. Because of this, you may feel disconnected from your partner and from yourself. As women we have been told many narratives about our role in sex and relationships and though our generation is trying to break the mold, many women still feel as though they do not have a desire for sex and do not even think of themselves as sexual beings. Welcome to the Her On Top Podcast! Hi I’m Kayla Moore, a licensed sex and couples therapist, here to create a space for women to feel normal, learn, and reclaim their relationship to sex and intimacy. This podcast releases bi-weekly on Friday mornings with 30ish minute episodes, centered around the many aspects of sex and relationships women struggle with. I will be sharing my expert knowledge straight from my therapist chair with tips on how to apply this knowledge to your own life. I will be including some of my own personal stories and weaving in the insights I continue to learn from my work with clients. Along the way, I plan to chat with some guests who are either relevant experts or other women like you that want to talk about their own personal experiences. Come chat with ME and experience the embodied pleasure, satisfaction, and connection you deserve and desire. You can find this podcast in any podcast app, including of course spotify, apple podcasts, youtube music, and amazon. I am excited to begin this journey with you! This is Her On Top!
Welcome back to the Her On Top Podcast, Episode 11! Today Kayla and Alex discuss make up sex! The duo explore the benefits and potential pitfalls of make up sex. They also get into what it means to have an awareness of your own internal dialogue, how to cope with your own emotions in a conflict situation, and how to find resolution in conflict with your partner. Finally, the conversation ends with how to use sex as a way to reconnect with your partner once you have both been able to come back to a state of calm in your own bodies. Thanks for listening!
