We just celebrated Independance Day here in America. The "reason for the season" was summed up long ago by Thomas Paine, one of the Founding Fathers and one though the power of word, roused the patriotism and revolutionary fervor. "These are the times that try men's souls..." are perhaps his most famous words. We will explore what he was speaking about.

President Biden's physical and mental shortcoming were put on full display during the recent presidential debate. Now, much of the Democrat establishment is ready to move on and proceed with another candidate for president. The problem they have is twofold-- How do you do it, and with whom do you replace him? The path of least resistance would be to replace Biden via 25A or force him to resign. That would leave us with a President Harris. Unfortunately, she's even less popular than the president. Biden and the Democrats are running out of time.

Quick take on the debate: Trump won. But the real problem might be how bad Biden lost. Now the Dems might kick him out, but Republicans should be hoping he stays in. There will now be a GOT type power struggle within the Democrat party to pick Biden's successor. Meanwhile, America's enemies were seeing what we saw, a weak, ineffectual leader.

In order for them to achieve and hold onto power, the Left need you to believe some crazy, untrue things. They need you to believe that U.S. needs illegal immigrants. They need you to believe groups like Catholics and Trump supporters are dangerous groups not unlike Al Qaeda and ISIS terrorists. They need you to believe Trump if elected, will imprison his political enemies. (Conveniently forgetting the Biden regime is doing exactly that to their enemies.)

European leaders met in Switzerland to come up with a plan to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. Zelenskyy was there. Kamala Harris was there, but there was one thing missing... the other side. This past week marked the 80th anniversary of the invasion of Normandy. The courage and dedication to duty of those men is awe-inspiring. Are the Democrats ready for a change? Kamala Harris has been given an easy, yet high profile assignment of representing the US in peace talks being held in Switzerland. All she has to do is look presidential and not embarrass us and her job will be declared a success in the press. She's been getting great press lately, having done nothing of note. Most important, the first debate between Trump and Biden is scheduled unusually early, this month, leaving plenty of time to make a switch at the convention should Biden fall flat on his face either literally or figuratively.

Good news from Israel... Four hostages have been rescued. There are still too may left in captivity whom we also pray for their safety and speedy release.

Donlad Trump has been found guilty of 34 trumped up charges somehow connected to a federal crime which the state court has yet to announce. Democrats and people with TDS are celebrating, but their victory will not last. There are so many questions about jurisdiction, due process, and the proceedings themselves that could get the verdict overturned. It's only a matter of how, where, and when the conviction is overturned. It's time to hoist the Banana Republic flag, because that is what we are.

Democrats extol the virtues of democracy constantly, but somehow, democratically elected leaders who refuse to follow their leftist agenda, are labeled threats to democracy. Robert Fico, Prime Minister of Slovakia who just survived an assassination attempt, is one such person. He depicted at a far-right extremists, sometimes even a fascist. Somehow, a populist leader who was democratically elected to his position several times by the people, is considered a threat to democracy. These same people have no problem with non-citizens voting.

Pro-Hamas, anti-Israeli protests on college campuses continued to dominate the news this past week. They claim to be pro-Palestinian, but the Palestinians are overwhelmingly pro-Hamas, so by extension, they are pro murderous terror organization. The colleges now reap what they have sown. Where do they think they got their anti-West, anti-American, antisemitic ideas from to begin with?
