The forced removal of Nicholas Maduro from power in Venezuela is a good thing. Now the main focus needs to be on restoring political power back to the Venezuelan people. Edmundo Gonzalez, who is recognized by many countries as the rightful, duly-elected leader of Venezuela should be allowed to assume power in that country as soon as possible. The idea that Maduro’s appointed Vice President, Delcy Rodriguez, may be allowed to stay in power is concerning, unless it is made clear that she will only serve as an interim leader. The Venezuelan people accepting any continuation of the Maduro regime seems unlikely.

Venezuelans in Doral, Florida, are celebrating the end of Maduro.

Roughly twenty and a quarter centuries ago, our Father gave us the gift of his only begotten son. Jesus Christ was born to be a light in the darkness, and to conquer death. It was a joyous day then, and it can and should be a joyous day now. The world certainly needs a savior as badly now as it did then. The good news is that Emmanuel or “God Among Us” is still among us. On Christmas, we can not only celebrate his birth, but his continued presence. Let’s seek it, feel it, and share the experience. That way we keep Christmas going throughout the year.

A bad idea whose time has come? Antisemitism is a big problem. Western countries, including Australia, have hate problems, but curtailing free speech isn't the answer. It's throwing the baby out with the bathwater. "Hate speech" is just a symptom of a larger problem. The problem is the marriage of Cultural Marxism and Islamism. These things have to be rooted out of society and out of our institutions.

The beginning of Hanukkah was marred by violence. Stories of terror and heroism emerge.

The Democrats are playing a dangerous game. It’s getting harder and harder not to conclude that Democrats are open to the idea of a coup d’état. “By any means necessary” seems to be the credo under which they are operating when it comes to removing Trump from office. They’ve instigated at least two assassination attempts against Trump, they’ve tried to bankrupt him and imprison him. Now they appear to be trying to turn our military and intelligence against him.

Six Congressional Democrats just made a video where they implore members of the military and intelligence services “Don’t Give Up the Ship” in which they imply that Trump is giving them illegal orders. They (correctly) remind service members that they are not required to obey unlawful orders, but fail to give any specific examples. The clear intent is to insinuate that Trump has been issuing unlawful orders, and to encourage members of the military to disobey their Commander in Chief.

"Mamdani the Commie" as some like to call him, has won the election for mayor of NYC. Zohran Mamdani won't be able to enact most of his ambitious agenda. What he can do will likely backfire- free busses, rent control, etc. When it fails he'll blame Trump, the system, the "oligarchs", everyone but himself .

Zohran Mamdani won the foreign-born vote overwhelmingly. Whether you call it "replacement theory" or "demographic destiny" the Democrats decades-long project to increase the number of foreign-born voters who tend to vote Democrat, worked to perfection .

There's no such thing as and "off year" election anymore. There are a couple of important state and local elections this year. There are gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia worth watching, and of course the mayoral election in NYC.
