This week, Licensed Poetics is joined by Malena, a wonderful Argentinian reader, writer, and songwriter. They talk about a famous Australian book about parent-children relationship, before BFL discusses misogyny in science fiction. Malena shares the book that she carries in her bag everywhere, and talks about being an artist as a way of life.

Achim triumphantly returns from holiday and brings with him a 17yo LinkedIn celebrity and entrepreneur prodigy who loves reading, Yurui Zi. He then drops his take on The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K, while BFL disagrees (yet again) with Goodreads reviewers on Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. Yurui bravely states his preference for non-fiction over fiction in the same room as Achim and BFL who are both avid fiction readers. Before the conversation turns into a fistfight, they find some common ground talking about Dune, stoicism, and high school English classes.
