The Denis Hurley Centre and the eThekwini Taskforce is holding a public workshop on homelessness. Here, ideas about how to tackle homelessness and solutions to ending homelessness will be discussed.

A recent Stats SA report revealed that at least one in five South African women have experienced some form of gender-based violence. Sadly, the report states that most perpetrators of these crimes get away unpunished as their victims suffer in silence. Globally, men are the biggest perpetrators of GBV – they are causing the problem. What should they be doing to end the fight against GBV? Should we just keep bashing them without asking them to come to the table and solve the problems that they’re creating?

Together with his band, he created a matchless afro-folk sound, fused with his soulful voice delivering in Xhosa and sometimes in English.
