The National Arts Festival and Distell have joined forces to search for fresh storytellers and voices with the launch of the Distell National Playwright Competition. It is open for all South Africans debut playwrights, (over 18 years), who have not staged their work before.It is in honour of Adam and Rosalie Small, husband and wife, who made a significant impact on South Africa’s literary, philosophical and educational landscape.
The winner will receive a cash prize and see their work produced at the 2019 National Arts Festival.
