The series continues with a sermon called "Jehovah Jireh - The God Who Provides." This week, Pastor Joy (PIJ) reminded us of what Jehovah Jireh means: God is our provider. This name appears in the Old Testament and was celebrated by Abraham when God provided a ram to sacrifice instead of Isaac.

We often think of "provision" as material things. While these things matter and are part of God’s provision for us, we often stop there. By doing so, we miss the deeper meaning of "the Lord shall provide." God’s provision isn’t just about what we want; it’s about God offering what is best for us. The name "Jehovah Jireh" is not merely a title; it is a promise of who God is and how He will meet our needs at the right time.

Jesus is God’s complete provision. He came so we can have life in abundance (John 10:10). His sacrifice rescued us from our sins. God knew we were sinners and wanted to provide a way out. He sees everything, even before it happens, and makes provisions for our needs.

To find God as Jehovah Jireh, we need to be obedient and make sacrifices. If you are going through a tough time, don’t despair. God draws near during these moments. We learn more about Jehovah Jireh, our provider when we face challenges. God is a wonderful provider, and the greatest gift He gives us is through the cross. Jesus is God’s greatest provision.

This week, we learned about another name for God: Jehovah Tsidkenu, which means "The Lord Is Righteousness" from the book of Jeremiah. Pastor Mark Ducusin explained how we can live righteously through Christ.

Righteousness is very important for Christians. Because of our sins, we were separated from God and needed the righteousness of Christ to restore our relationship with Him. We can only be declared righteous before God by having faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross. God is our righteousness because He made it possible when He became human and died for us. Understanding what Christ did for us humbles us.

God provides righteousness and gives us the strength to live righteously. Through the Holy Spirit, we can walk in righteousness. We do this not to earn God's favor, but as a response to the grace we have received. Jesus is our good shepherd. His righteousness is perfect, and He cares for us with great love. We are sinners, making it hard to meet God's standard of holiness. Our hope is in Jesus, and we need to find our way back to God the Father.

Every believer can take joy in knowing that Jesus is the source of our righteousness because of His work on the cross. We will fall short of righteousness, but our hope is not lost. God forgives our sins through Christ. All we need to do is hold on and return to Him.

This week the series "Knowing God by Names" continues with another sermon, "Jehovah Nissi: The God Who Wins the Battle." PIJ explains to us some ways we can do to win our battle over the enemy attack in our daily lives.

When our life is well and it seems that we have everything under control, life can throw up a major battle for us without any warning. Our lives become blighted by a major issue; we are left reeling in shock and distress, and we look at the problem and we think, “How on earth am I ever going to cope with this one?” Sometimes the enemy comes when they see us going forward in our faith or when God gives us blessing and success. The enemy will try to tempt us to fall to sin but we must persevere and remember God's way. We must spend our time in prayer, seek God's words and wisdom, and trust that He will win the battle for us.

If you have been in difficult circumstances, if you have been facing problems in life, understand you are in a battle, but do not worry; God is able to help you in your battle. Remember that we serve a greater God, and only he can give us victory if we trust in him. May God give you a new strength to fight your battles today and every day.

This week, we start a new series titled "Knowing God by Names," beginning with "El Roi - The God Who Sees." Our focus is on Hagar's story, where God intervenes and prevents her from fleeing to Egypt. Pastor Joy reminded us that God sees us in every situation and is always with us.

Feeling abandoned is difficult; many of us have experienced this when life takes unexpected turns. In such confusion, we may wonder where God is. However, we must remember that the Lord is a good shepherd and seeks us out.

When faced with problems, we may feel lost and drift away from Him. Yet, God wants us to submit to Him during our trials, as He knows our true needs. While obedience can be hard in tough times, the path of disobedience is even more challenging.

God sees our struggles and stands with us. We must trust Him to care for us and hold on to His promises and hope for the future.

We are celebrating a "Decade of Faith." It has been 10 glorious years of serving the Lord and His people.

As we reflect on the Lord's works, we are reminded to keep our focus on Him with the "Eyes of Faith," rooted in Hebrews 11:1. Pastor Rafy Panlilio encourages us to view our life situations and circumstances through the lens of faith.

We’ve all heard the saying, “Seeing is believing.” However, the Bible teaches us that faith is defined as believing even when we do not yet see the full picture. Faith is to be actively lived out in obedience to God’s word, even when we have not yet received what was promised in this life.

When you see things through the eyes of faith, you realize that God is always bigger than anything the world throws at you. Don’t let your natural circumstances blind you. Instead, ask God to open your eyes to see His works. Allow faith to rise within you, and you will witness His glory manifested in your life.

This week’s sermon is titled "Pursue Fruitful Ministry," part of our "Pursuing Ahead" series. We will focus on John 15:16, where Jesus speaks to His disciples before His crucifixion. The main purpose of being a Christian is to "bear fruit."

We often wonder about our purpose, asking questions like, “Why am I here?” John 15:16 provides an answer. Jesus says, "You did not choose me, but I chose you," and calls us to stay connected to Him and engage in His work.

Our mission as Christians is to bear fruit through good works that come from the Holy Spirit. We aim to bring others to Christ so they can experience His love.

This mission may be tough, but we should remember that Jesus promised, "Whatever you ask in my name, the Father will give you." Let’s stay connected to Christ every day so we can bear fruit for God's glory.

This week’s sermon is titled "Pursue Integrity" and focuses on Daniel, who stood firm in his beliefs by doing what was right before God, despite challenging circumstances.

As Christians, maintaining integrity is crucial in both our faith and daily lives. In a world where the corrupt often seem favored and shortcuts are promoted, the Bible calls us to consistently do what is right. Godly integrity reflects our identity in Christ and impacts how others perceive our faith. When our actions don’t align with our words, it discourages others from seeking salvation.

In contrast, upholding integrity can inspire others to come to faith and grow spiritually. Our maturity in Christ and how we practice our beliefs depend on the choices we make.

Let’s commit to aligning our lives with His Word so that our behavior reflects our identity in Christ and demonstrates Godly integrity.

This week we start a new sermon series, "Keep Pursuing Ahead." And the first sermon titled "Pursue Intimacy", we are looking into the story where Jesus addresses Martha and invites her to be present to listen to His teachings and His message. 

Many of us can relate with Martha. In this face-pace world, we are feeling pulled in different directions, feeling worried and distracted by many things. Our activities leave us with no time to be still in the Lord’s presence and hear God’s word, leave us with no commitment when it comes to build personal relationship with God. And we end up being  anxious and troubled. But Jesus wants to be ever closely with us. He wants to have a consistent, constant relationship with us. Day in and day out. Just as close relationship with another person requires conversation, so intimacy with God is the same. Conversing with Him happens through our daily bible reading, daily devotions and prayer. By building close intimacy with God, we are strengthening our faith and our spiritual being. The closer we are to God, the stronger we will be in the storms of life.

Intimacy with God is available to you. It is as accessible to you as God’s promises. And God’s invitation to you to enjoy intimate fellowship with him. As God is fully devoted & committed to us, we also need to be fully devoted and committed to Him.

This week's sermon, titled "Do It Again," focuses on how God granted victory to Joshua and the Israelites. As we begin 2025, Pastor Joy reminded us that the God we serve today is the same God who created everything and has been faithful to us in the past—He will carry us into the future.

In challenging times, we often forget the battles God has fought for us, focusing instead on our current struggles. Fear and confusion can overwhelm us, but if we take a moment to look back, we can see His continual faithfulness. We must remember that we serve a living and unchanging God who will never abandon us.

In 2025, trust that God can meet everyone's needs. His promises are "Yes" and "Amen." Though we may not understand how He will act, we can rest assured that He will provide. Remember, it’s not over until God says it is—so keep believing in Him!

This week’s sermon, titled “A Grateful Heart,” focused on the story of the ten men who were healed by Jesus, but only one returned to thank Him and praise Him. Pastor Joy delivered this message to remind us to be grateful for what the Lord has given us.

We often desire more unhindered joy in our lives and find ourselves longing for what we don’t have, rather than appreciating the blessings already present. Gratitude can be challenging, especially in complicated or frustrating situations. Instead of dwelling on what we lack or what isn’t going well, we must shift our attention to what we have and what is going right, appreciating the present moment. We need to recognize His abundant blessings in big and small matters, even amid challenges.

As we wrap up 2024, let’s reflect on the countless times God has provided and protected us, drawing us closer to His faithfulness. Moving into 2025, may we embrace the joy of His unconditional love and find ourselves overflowing with gratitude for His forgiveness, miracles, and unwavering support.
