Tony Glasby

In March 2021, Tony joined PPRO gmbh as SVP for Banking & Payments Strategy.

PPRO GmbH is a privately held Fintech company, headquartered in Germany with an ambition to be a leading global infrastructure provider for cross border payments.

Leveraging on his 35+ year corporate career, and extensive Finance and Regulatory expertise, he will assist this highly talented team to realize its potential in a very fast evolving industry.

Previously, after joining Ebay in 2010 as VP and Group Treasurer , Tony supported the separation of EBay Inc. and PayPal Inc. in 2015, where he led the Capital Structure & Treasury workstreams.

After choosing to continue in his role at PayPal, he was responsible for their worldwide Treasury functions, which include capital markets, cash management, regulatory compliance support, financial strategy, foreign exchange, investments, insurance and capital allocation.

Earlier in his career, he held various senior Finance and Business roles at HP Enterprise Services, Electronic Data Systems and Reed International PLC. He has worked in London, Dallas, Singapore and Silicon Valley.

Tony is a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, a Chartered Management Accountant and earned a BA Hons in Business from the University of Westminster, London. Tony and his wife, Julie, live in Texas and their daughter, Lauren, in Brooklyn. In his spare time, he enjoys wine collecting, football, rugby (watching) and golf.

In today’s episode of the mi-brand HQ podcast, I am speaking to

Kavya Nagarajan

Kavya is a senior data engineering consultant working in an advanced analytics firm QuantumBlack, part of McKinsey & Company based out of London.

She is passionate about large-scale data processing to solve real-world problems using machine learning. Her technical expertise includes data wrangling using Python, Spark, and solution architecture on cloud computing services such as Azure, AWS, and Databricks.

She has overall 6.5+ years of experience and has worked in a plethora of sectors from building robust data pipelines for predictive maintenance of jet engines in Rolls-Royce Aerospace to fuelling data for ship intelligence platform in their Marine division (acquired by Kongsberg Maritime in 2019). In her current role, she works on scaling impact through advanced analytics in the banking and insurance sectors.

Outside of work, she volunteers to coach young individuals of age 16-18 on choosing their career journeys and helping them achieve professional goals with a fulfilling first internship and eventual employment.

Paul Morrison

Paul Morrison is an enthusiastic and passionate leader in education, with over 25 years’ experience within the IT sector. He serves as the UK&I lead for Primary, Secondary and Further Education for Zoom Video Communications, Inc. where he helps schools and colleges to use video communications technology so that teacher and student can participate in classes no matter if they are in the school or at home.

Prior to Zoom he was the Microsoft Education Industry Solutions lead for Education in Scotland, Wales and the Educational institutions in London including London Grid for Learning (LGfL).

Paul has a proven track record of success, transforming educational establishments using technology and providing professional development of academic staff and students.

Paul also served nine years at Hewlett Packard Enterprise UK&I as the Education Sector Lead, UK Black Employment Network Lead and Black Employee Leadership Council Regional Coordinator for EMEA. He has been nominated for many awards including the National Diversity Award, Black British Business Award, The Diversity Power List for The Inclusive Award and won a Global Recognition Award, presented to him by Rev Jesse Jackson in the USA.

Outside of work, Paul provides ongoing leadership, mentoring and support to students in the education system through a number of programmes. These include topics such as Mental and Emotional Wellbeing, Mentorship and Raising Aspirations. In 2018 Paul founded the company Idare2inspire, a social company designed to empower and support underrepresented young people from socially and economically challenging backgrounds.

Paul currently serves as the Chair of the Advisory Board for the University West of Scotland and is part of the Multicultural Committee at the House of Lords.

Others' opinions can easily influence us to the point at which we no longer show up as our authentic best self, for fear of what others will say; we hold ourselves back from speaking up, and miss out on making and learning from our mistakes, on new experiences, on opportunities, for fear of judgement!

We allow others' opinions to influence how we feel about ourselves.

This can result in us seeing ourselves through the eyes of those who do not value us.

As such - we are giving away our power to others.

Jeremy is the Chief Executive Officer of Aptitude Software Group Plc, a fast growing Global Software business listed on the London Stock Exchange.

He has spent 30 years in technology starting at the very bottom, selling the first desktop PCs to customers in a retail store. With limited formal qualifications but with shrewd judgement along the way he worked in start up’s in his 20s, Global Tech businesses in his 30s and achieved his latest ambition to be the CEO of a Plc  Tech business in his 40s.
