As the old saying goes, "talk is cheap." But you have to start somewhere.
In this episode of Life, Lemons & LemonDrops hosts Greer and Whitnie discuss the latest mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, and consider how society might use this crisis to come together for meaningful change. With over 311,000 students directly impacted by gun violence (since Columbine), we consider a world where millions have a link to this uniquely American phenomenon. While no easy answers exist, talking about the problem is a start and certainly better than the alternative of allowing ourselves to be numb to our reality.
Maybe this time is when we'll stop talking past each other and start talking with each other to find a solution that protects the most vulnerable. Since the recording of this episode, hope shines a bit brighter as Senator McConnell has directed Senator Cornyn to discuss a bipartisan solution with Senate Democrats. Read more here.

In this episode of Life Lemons & LemonDrops, hosts Greer and Whitnie discuss having choices and prioritizing the long-term benefit of instant gratification. By eliminating the 4-letter word, "can’t" from your vocabulary, you can choose instead to pursue and achieve your goals following deliberate steps in a plan designed to take you from where you are to where you want to be. Defeatist language and negative self-talk are the only things that really block you from achieving your highest aspirations, so address those. Don’t let the lack of immediate success deprive you of the ultimate victory awaiting you down the longer road.
If you could use some assistance in making choices that better serve you and the life you want to live, book a complimentary strategy session with Whitnie today.
In this episode of Life, Lemons & LemonDrops, Greer and Whitnie discuss the joys of kindness. When a random encounter turned into an hours-long treat in an airport hospitality lounge, courtesy of comedian Mark Curry, Mike Johns posted on LinkedIn about how much the gesture changed his mood, day, and life. Inspired by the story, Greer and Whitnie challenge you to find ways to share random acts of kindness with people who might least expect it, but most need it. It’s a surefire way to brighten the day of someone…and yourself.

A job isn’t done until it’s complete. Confusing? Not really. There is a process to finishing projects on your to-do list, and you should learn to embrace each one of those steps. And don't add anything new until you clear what's already there. In this episode of Life, Lemons & LemonDrops, Greer and Whitnie discuss the importance of completion. When you have a mindset of completion and goal achievement, not just goal setting, you set yourself up for success. When you plan better from the outset, you free up the time and energy needed to do more of what you want to do, including enjoying your successes.
Whether you use the 4 Ds or other strategies to work through your goals, make sure you put your projects to bed before moving to your next destination.
