Pilgrims Shatter The Myth of Socialism

Bryan Fischer with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. An alarming number of millennials believe in the superiority of socialism over freedom. Apparently no one’s taught them the story of the Pilgrims. When they first came to our shores, they decided that instead of each Pilgrim keeping what he produced, they’d dump it all into one big pot. So there was no incentive to work hard, and every incentive to be lazy, since everybody got the same share no matter how hard they worked. This led to jealousy, anger and social strife. Their solution? They gave every Pilgrim family their own plot of land, where they could plant what they wanted, work as hard as they wanted, sell what they wanted, and keep the fruits of their labor. Everybody immediately became more industrious and the Colony prospered. Socialism was the world’s way and it didn’t work. Free enterprise was God’s way and it did work.

Republicans In Oklahoma Embrace Lawlessness

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. According to Scripture, God established civil government to maintain justice so citizens would not have to take matters into their own hands. So what happens when government refuses to do its job? Take a look at Oklahoma, where Republicans have abandoned the party’s historic commitment to the rule of law and embraced the foolish rush to give early release to dangerous criminals. On one day, November 4, Oklahoma released 462 felons convicted of drug crimes and theft. There is a reason the crime rate in the United States has plummeted in the last two decades - the bad guys have been locked up in record numbers. Out of a misplaced sense of compassion, bad guys in record numbers are being loosed back into a society that had to lock them up for its own protection. What will happen? I’m afraid Oklahoma is about to find out.

The Democrat Story On FISA Warrants Beginning To Crumble

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. FISA warrants based on the work of FBI agents allowed the FBI to surveill Donald Trump, who was at that time an American citizen like you or me. This spying launched the entire two year $35 million Trump-Russia collusion hoax which cleared the president of all charges. CNN - of all people - is reporting that the first FISA warrant in this whole sorry saga contained alterations made by an FBI agent that changed the meaning of the document. This is about as serious as it gets. James Comey’s FBI was a corrupt part of the Deep State that hated Donald Trump so much they were willing to falsify documents in an effort to take him out before he was even elected. The more we learn, the worse things get. It is likely that FBI personnel, perhaps even James Comey, will wind up behind bars for this, and the president once again will be exonerated.

First-Hand Testimony Vindicates President

Finally, on Tuesday of this week, we got to hear from witnesses who actually had first-hand testimony to offer in response to the accusation that the president is guilty of bribery. Ranking member Devin Nunes asked Tim Morrison, point man at the National Security Council, “Did anyone ever ask you to bribe or extort anyone at any time during your time in the White House?” Morrison’s blunt, direct, forceful answer: “No sir.” Then Rep. Nunes asked former Ambassador Kurt Volker: “Did anyone at the White House ever ask you to bribe or extort anything out of anyone at any time?” Volker’s immediate, forthright, and unqualified answer: “No sir.” This is a sham and it’s time to call it off.

Chick-fil-A Surrenders To The Gay Gestapo

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Chick-fil-A declared this week that it will no longer support any Christian charity, including the Salvation Army, that believes in a biblical view of marriage. They are doing this under relentless pressure from the homosexual lobby, which since 2012 has hammered CFA over its support for pro-family organizations. This is a huge victory for the homosexual lobby, which got the third largest restaurant chain in America to meekly submit to its demands to reject the Bible. Chick-fil-A’s donation to the Salvation Army was used to provide Christmas gifts for the children of inmates. Next year, these kids will be on their own. CFA’s motive seems to be a craven devotion to its bottom line. Jesus said we must choose to serve either God or Mammon. This week, Chick-fil-A made its choice about which master it will serve.

The Impeachment Of President Trump Is A Hate Crime

Bryan Fischer with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Patriotism, they say, is the last refuge of a scoundrel. Well, there are a lot of scoundrels in House of Representatives. They pretended impeachment is about preserving democracy, but it’s not. That’s why the basis for impeachment keeps shifting. First, it was “thing of value,” then it was “quid pro quo,” and now - after doing focus groups on which accusation sounds the worst, it’s “bribery.” This has always been an impeachment in search of a crime. The truth is the president’s opponents hate him. They hate it that he fights back unlike every Republican president before him. They hate it that he protects religious liberty, babies in the womb, and our southern border. They hate him because they don’t like his personality. In other words, this is not an impeachment, it’s a hate crime directed against the president of the United States.

How We Do Justice In America

Bryan Fischer with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Jesus set the bar for valid testimony when he declared it is only by the mouth of two or three witnesses that every fact is confirmed. The testimony must come from actual witnesses, not from somebody who only heard about something from somebody else. If a witness didn’t see it or hear it himself, his testimony doesn’t count. This principle lies at the very foundation of American jurisprudence. In the Constitution, for the crime of treason - the only crime identified in the Constitution - the Founders adopted the standard Jesus set. I quote, “No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act.” We don’t convict someone of treason based on hearsay, and we most certainly do not remove a president from office based on hearsay. But that’s all the Democrats have.

Adam Schiff: Dead Man Walking

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and LIberty Minute. You can stick a fork in impeachment. It’s over, done, history, in the archives. Wednesday’s “blockbuster” hearing turned out to be an utter catastrophe for the Democrats. Adam Schiff trotted out his two star witnesses, who had no relevant first-hand information of any kind. It was all hearsay, which is inadmissible in a court of law and certainly should be when the president of the United States is on trial. And Mitch McConnell is going to stretch the impeachment trial out over six weeks, six hours a day, right at the height of the primary campaign. Be careful what you wish for, Democrats. You’ve got you the impeachment you wanted but you are going to choke to death on it. Smart Democrats are going to look for the first off ramp they can find, but poor Adam Schiff has to ride this thing all the way to the bottom.

Maybe We’re Impeaching The Wrong Man

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. We have learned that the whistlebloviator who started this shampeachment wasn’t a witness to anything he accused the president of. Another accuser, the ambassador to Ukraine, wasn’t even on the phone call. Another accuser says he’s not sure the president did anything illegal. Another accuser believes Trump did it because he heard it from somebody who heard it from somebody else who heard it from somebody else. Let’s remember that President Obama used a quid pro quo with Ukraine when he made financial aid dependent upon Ukraine making reforms to deal with corruption. The impeachment case against Trump is completely falling apart on the Democrats, and the public hearings will demonstrate that to everyone. Maybe we’re impeaching the wrong man. Perhaps we should be impeaching Adam Schiff for the high crime of trying to convict an innocent man.
