  • Losing Hair, But Finding Strength and Authenticity | Rebecca Lerch

Rebecca Lerch is a ballet dancer and a learning and development leader. She is also a single mother and hair loss advocate.

"If somebody's going to have a negative opinion of you because you're wearing a hairpiece or wearing a wig or shaving your head, then that's not somebody you need in your life."

    This is Rebecca Lerch's story...

Rebecca Lerch was going through a difficult time in her marriage in 2016-2017. In early 2018, she decided to end her marriage and move out of her family home. Rebecca was also working on a big project at her job that required a lot of extra hours. Around this time, she started to notice that her hair was thinning. She researched online and found that many other women were going through the same thing. She found some inspiration in these women and decided to embrace her hair loss instead of trying to hide it. She bought a wig and started wearing it.

In this episode, you will learn the following:

    1. How Rebecca coped with stress from a divorce, job, and parenting all at once

    2. How her hair loss made her re-evaluate her relationship with her appearance

    3. How Rebecca found strength in embracing her hair loss instead of trying to hide it

Rebecca is a learning & development leader and a professional, amateur ballerina. In addition to dancing and helping advance organizational learning, she is passionate about cats, dogs, and hippos and spending quality time with her family.

  • Finding Oneself after a Cancer Diagnosis | Tory Campbell

Tory Campbell is a breast cancer survivor. She is originally from Connecticut but now resides in San Diego, California.

    "Cancer does not discriminate."

In this episode, you will learn the following:

    1. The importance of early cancer detection, especially for those with a family history of the disease.

    2. The story of a woman who overcame cancer after being diagnosed in her 40s.

    3. The life-changing impact of a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

    This is Tory Campbell's story...

Tory Campbell was born in Incheon, South Korea, and abandoned at birth. She was adopted by a Caucasian couple in Connecticut and raised there. When she was 36, she got into CrossFit and made great friends. Then, at 40, she had her annual woman's exam, and a lump was found. After some tests, it was determined to be cancerous, and she underwent treatment. A year later, she was cancer free and moved to San Diego. While shaped by her upbringing, her values are not necessarily what her parents wanted. She currently lives estranged from her adoptive family in San Diego as a direct result of her cancer diagnosis.

    5. How Living with Intention Helped to Overcome a Near-Death Experience | Rob Cressy

Rob Cressy went from selling advertising on an obituary website to becoming a self-aware, growth-minded sports creator by design, not by default. This mindset helped him survive a near-death experience during a marathon run.

"I was working in a call center for a bank, making $10 an hour, when I realized I was living a life I didn't want. I was good at my job, but I knew I was meant for more. So I decided to take a leap of faith and quit my job to pursue my dream of working in sports. I was back at zero, but I was self-aware and had a growth mindset. I knew I could make today better than yesterday. And I did. I built a successful career as a sports podcaster and writer. Every day, I'm reminded that I am in control of my life and can be anything I want to be."

In this episode, you will learn:

      1. How Rob went from unemployed and in debt to a successful sales career and eventually pursued his dream of working in sports full time

      2. How self-awareness and a growth mindset can help you overcome adversity and challenges

      3. How everything in your life can be by design if you are intentional about it

"I am no longer living that way. Yes, it's comfortable, yes, you make a ton of money. But to those things, I don't care. That does not matter to me."

Rob Cressy is a Personal Growth Coach. His work helps leaders build better mindsets, habits & routines to keep winning. From personal development to brand building & podcasting, his unique approach to growth creates a roadmap to freedom, happiness, and a life you love.

    6. Chasing an Attractive Stranger Off the Subway - A Life-Changing Encounter | Jenny Wood

"I said to myself, 'No, screw the universe.' And I ran off the train."

After years of dating in NYC, Jenny Wood takes matters into her own hands, running off a crowded subway train to give her business card to a stranger.
