The other side of recovery can seem like an impossibly long, difficult and scary journey away, but this week on the podcast both my guest Julie Graham NDTR and me (your host Julia Werth RD) realized how much better it is to be on the other side! I now happily smile at myself in mirrors again and Julie hasn't touched fat free versions of food in years.
Julie Graham is a Nutrition & Dietetics Technician, Registered and the owner of Nx by Julie, LLC: a virtual coaching practice, based in Bristol, CT. She is personally recovered from Binge Eating Disorder, and now helps clients recover from dieting and dysfunctional eating patterns, using Intuitive Eating & a HAES approach to food & movement. She is an aunt to 4 nephews and 1 niece, and believes that practicing body acceptance holds the possibility for us to collectively achieve a future free from the encumbrances of dieting & eating disorders.
If you'd like to hang out with me and Julie please join us at her Body Positivity Happy Hour at Lift for Women in Watertown, CT on Thursday, September 27: https://www.facebook.com/events/414268932772087/
