After 30 days of rediscovering the Proverbs 31 Woman, we end where everything begins, Christ.

The goal was never to become a woman we could admire or imitate perfectly. It was to understand that everything she is flows from Who she is rooted in.

Same Source. Greater Purpose. Jesus. 🤍

30 days of rediscovering the Proverbs 31 Woman, not through culture, societal expectations or what we’ve been told, but through Scripture itself.

And if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s this:

Everything she is flows from Who she is rooted in God.

Her wisdom, strength, stewardship, generosity, diligence and character are all fruit of that foundation.

The goal was never simply to become her, but to allow God to transform us into who He has called us to be. 🤍

“And let her own works praise her in the gates.” — Proverbs 31:31 NKJV

The Proverbs 31 Woman doesn’t need to constantly announce who she is, her life speaks for her.

Her consistency, character and faithfulness have produced a testimony that reaches even the gates.

As believers, may we live so faithfully that our works speak of the God we serve, even when we’re not in the room. 🤍

“Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.” — Proverbs 31:31 NKJV

Today, we see the reward of faithfulness.

The Proverbs 31 Woman has spent her life stewarding what was placed in her hands, and now, she experiences the fruit of that stewardship.

Her works speak for her.

And there’s a lesson here for us as believers: faithfulness is never wasted. What God has placed in your hands matters. Steward it well, remain faithful, and trust Him with the fruit. 🤍

“Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.” — Proverbs 31:30 NKJV

On today’s episode, we come to the beautiful conclusion of this verse: “she shall be praised.”

But what exactly is she being praised for?

Not her charm.
Not her beauty.
Not even simply for everything she has accomplished.

She is praised because her life has become the fruit of her relationship with God.

For the past few days, we’ve seen the progression: charm can deceive, beauty will pass, but the fear of the Lord produces something that lasts.

And throughout Proverbs 31, we’ve watched that root produce fruit—wisdom, strength, generosity, stewardship, diligence, kindness, discernment and faithfulness.

She didn’t live chasing praise. Praise became the consequence of a life faithfully lived.

And I think there’s a lesson in that for us as believers.

Don’t build your life around being applauded by people. Build your life around knowing God, loving Him and faithfully stewarding what He has placed in your hands.

Because ultimately, the praise we should desire most is:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” 🤍

May our lives speak of His goodness, His faithfulness and His love.

On today’s episode, we finally get to the foundation of the Proverbs 31 Woman.

She is a woman who fears the Lord.

And suddenly, everything we’ve studied about her begins to make sense.

Her wisdom. Her strength. Her discernment. Her generosity. Her stewardship. Her diligence. Her kindness. Her preparedness.

They don’t exist independently of God. They flow from her Source.

She has made God her Source, and because her roots are in Him, her life produces fruit that reflects Him.

To fear the Lord isn’t to live terrified of God. It is to honour Him, reverence Him and live in awe of who He is. It is allowing that reverence to shape how you live, how you speak, how you steward and how you treat people.

And I think this is the part we can easily miss when studying Proverbs 31.

We can try to imitate everything she does without first understanding Who she is rooted in.

But the strength of her life reveals the strength of her Source.

Before she is productive, she fears God.
Before she is excellent, she fears God.
Before she is wise, she fears God.

Everything else flows from the root. 🌿

Today we learn not to keep our hearts on things that are fleeting or temporary

But to allow ourselves be truly transformed inside out

“Charm is deceitful…” — Proverbs 31:30 NKJV

On today’s episode, we look at an important part of this entire chapter—Proverbs 31:30, but specifically the first phrase:

“Charm is deceitful…”

And I think this is so relevant to the society we live in today.

We live in a world where perceived value can sometimes seem more important than actual transformation. How you appear, how you present yourself, how people perceive you, how well you speak, how influential you seem, all of these can create an image of who you are.

And charm itself isn’t necessarily sinful.

The danger is that charm can convince people that they have encountered character when they have only encountered presentation.

You can know how to speak well, appear kind, make people feel good and carry yourself beautifully, and still lack integrity.

But as believers, God isn’t calling us to build lives that merely look transformed. He is actually transforming us.

Romans 12:2 tells us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

So our pursuit shouldn’t be the applause, acceptance or perception of people.

It should be daily transformation through God.

Because eventually, presentation will meet a situation that requires character and who you have truly become will speak.

So ask yourself today:

Am I more concerned with how people perceive me, or with who God is transforming me to become? 🤍

“Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.” — Proverbs 31:29 NKJV

On today’s episode, we learn something beautiful about the praise the Proverbs 31 Woman receives from her husband.

He doesn’t just appreciate her silently; he verbalizes it.

He has watched her character, her faithfulness, her stewardship, her wisdom, her generosity and everything she has poured into their household, and he tells her:

“You excel them all.”

There’s something powerful about being vocal with our appreciation. It is one thing to value someone; it is another thing to make sure they know they are valued.

And I think there’s a beautiful parallel here with our relationship with God.

Throughout Scripture, God doesn’t leave us wondering about His love for us. He tells us. He calls us His beloved. He speaks of His delight in His people. And Jesus gives us the picture of the faithful servant eventually hearing, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Again, we don’t live faithfully to earn God’s love. His love is freely given.

Rather, our faithfulness is a response to that love and the relationship we have with Him.

So perhaps there are two things we can take away today:

Be faithful with what God has entrusted to you; and be intentional about verbalizing your appreciation for the people God has entrusted to you too. 🤍

“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” — Proverbs 31:28 NKJV

On today’s episode, we begin to see the fruit that the character of the Proverbs 31 Woman has produced.

Her children rise and call her blessed. Her husband praises her.

And notice something: this praise comes after we’ve spent all these verses learning about who she is, her faithfulness, wisdom, generosity, diligence, stewardship, kindness and strength.

Her character has produced fruit, and the people who have experienced her life firsthand can testify to it.

And I see a beautiful parallel here with the parable of the talents. The faithful servants stewarded what their master entrusted to them, and at the end they heard:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

That should point us towards the kind of life we desire to live as believers.

But there’s an important distinction: we are not living to earn God’s love or approval.

God has already freely given us His love.

We don’t obey so He will love us. We don’t become faithful so we can finally become worthy of Him. Rather, because we have received His love and entered into relationship with Him, faithfulness becomes the fruit of that relationship.

So perhaps Proverbs 31:28 is asking us to look beyond simply becoming a woman people praise.

It points us towards becoming faithful people whose lives bear fruit, people who steward what God has entrusted to us so well that when our lives speak for us, they testify of a life lived with Him.

May the desire of our hearts not simply be to receive applause here on earth, but one day to hear:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” 🤍
