Today’s Bible Verse:
"Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me and teach me your law." — Psalm 119:29
The psalmist’s prayer in Psalm 119:29 is a humble plea for integrity and discernment. In a world filled with half-truths and self-justification, he asks God to protect him from deceit—not just from others, but from the subtle lies within his own heart.
True freedom begins when we allow God’s truth to reshape our thinking and guide our choices. His Word becomes the compass that steers us away from false paths and into a life marked by honesty, humility, and grace.

In this episode of Faith Over Fear, Carol talks with pastor and author Terry Crist about his new book, Now You Can Stop Running. Together, they unpack what it means to stop fleeing from pain, purpose, or even God—and instead face what’s been chasing us with courage and grace. Terry shares his own story of reaching a breaking point when he could no longer outrun what God wanted to heal, revealing that running often masks deeper fears of rejection, failure, or being truly known.
Through candid conversation, Terry and Carol explore the connection between honesty, healing, and spiritual rootedness. They discuss how facing our inner struggles can restore connection with ourselves, others, and God—and how spiritual practices like solitude, Scripture reflection, and prayer can ground us when we feel the urge to escape.
If you’ve ever found yourself avoiding hard conversations, hiding behind busyness, or believing you don’t deserve to rest, this episode will help you recognize the subtle ways you might be running—and offer practical tools to stop, stay, and be fully present to God’s transforming grace.

Have you ever found yourself holding on to hurt, disappointment, or resentment from something (or someone) in your past? Maybe you’ve been wounded by others’ words or actions, or perhaps you’re simply tired of feeling weighed down by offense.
This week on The Love Offering Podcast, I’m talking with Alexandra Hoover, author of You Can Let Go: Don’t Let Past Hurts Steal Your Current and Future Joy.
Together, we’re exploring how to:
* Let go of pain and disappointment that’s holding you back
* Live from a place of radical acceptance in Christ
* Walk boldly in the abundance God offers
Alexandra reminds us that while we can’t always control how others act, we can choose how we respond. She helps us uncover the roots of our insecurities and wounded pride so we can find our true identity—not in how people treat us—but in who Jesus says we are.
If you’re ready to make peace with your past, live free from offense, and embrace emotional and spiritual freedom, this episode will encourage and empower you.
With love,
Rachael

A Prayer for God to Keep You
The short letter of Jude—only one page in most Bibles—packs profound truth for believers. Today's episode by Brooke McGlothlin dives into the first few verses in Jude and she remind us that those who belong to God are called, beloved, and kept.
The word “kept,” or “preserved” in the King James Version, speaks of God’s continual care and protection over His people. To “preserve” means to safeguard, protect, or maintain. Unlike our own imperfect efforts to keep things in order, God never fails to keep what belongs to Him.
Reference: Matthew 6:34
Prayer:
Father, thank you for keeping me and thank you for keeping my children. Left to myself I know I would never, left to myself I know I would never be able to stay. There's too much sin still in my heart and it's prone to wonder from you. The knowledge that you will preserve me, that you will guard me and keep me from stumbling, brings me so much peace. In Jesus' name, amen.
