Are you intentional about what you feed your mind and heart? Just like checking the ingredients on the food we eat, it’s important to consider what we’re consuming through entertainment—music, movies, and social media. While creativity and fun are gifts from God, not everything we take in nourishes our spirit.
In this episode, we explore how to choose content that uplifts your faith, encourages your walk with Christ, and keeps your heart aligned with God.
Don’t forget: You can also download our free devotional, “Mind, Body & Soul,” designed to help strengthen your walk with God through Scripture, prayer, and practical habits.

In this powerful episode of The Built Different Podcast, recorded backstage at the Refuel Conference at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Dr. Zach Clinton and cohost Joshua Broome sit down with Pastor Gary Hamrick — Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia. Gary has faithfully led Cornerstone from a small group of believers to a thriving congregation of thousands. His ministry sits at a unique cultural crossroads, just outside Washington, D.C., giving him a front-row seat to the intersection of faith, culture, and government. Over the years, Gary has become a trusted voice on religious liberty, biblical truth, and courageous leadership in a rapidly shifting cultural landscape. In this conversation, Gary shares his heart for revival and renewal, unpacking why gatherings like Refuel are vital for weary ministry leaders. He offers insight into what he’s seeing in the flock — from mental health struggles and spiritual discouragement to growing cultural hostility toward Christianity — and provides deeply biblical encouragement for overcoming discouragement in ministry through Psalm 42. His voice is both a pastoral encouragement and a prophetic challenge for the Church to rise with courage and conviction in this cultural moment.

What if the cultural chaos we’re witnessing isn’t just political or social—but a visible sign of ancient, unseen spiritual forces at work?
In this riveting episode, Catherine welcomes back New York Times bestselling author and esteemed spiritual leader Jonathan Cahn. Known for his prophetic insight and viral teachings, Jonathan brings parents face-to-face with revelations from his explosive new book, The Avatar: The Return of the Ancients and the Future of America.
With global headlines swirling—hostage releases in the Middle East, political shake-ups at home—Jonathan argues that these events are rooted in spiritual battles dating back thousands of years. He takes listeners on a journey through scripture and current history, demonstrating that ancient “gods” and principalities are reclaiming influence in our modern world, often in ways that fly under the radar of the Western mind.
Key insights from the episode:
Notable moments:
As Jonathan cautions: “If we change the government, but we don’t change the hearts of the people, the unchanged hearts are going to change the go
Today's Bible Verse:
if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’" — Matthew 17:20
Jesus reminds His disciples that the size of their faith isn’t what limits God’s power—it’s their belief in His ability to act. Even faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains because it’s not about the strength of our faith, but the strength of our God.
Faith isn’t wishful thinking—it’s trust in the One who makes the impossible possible. When life feels overwhelming or immovable, God invites us to believe that even the smallest seed of trust can unleash His limitless power.

A Prayer for When You Feel Like Your Prayers Aren't Being Answered
Have you ever prayed for something and felt like God wasn't answering? Today's episode by Nicolet Bell takes us through the words of Psalm 34. We are reminded that God always hears our prayers—though not always in the way we expect. True prayer draws us closer to the heart of God, shifting our focus from seeking the gift to desiring the Giver.
Reference: Psalm 34:4
Prayer: Father, help me to believe that you hear and respond to my prayers. Help me to trust in your character even when life doesn’t go the way I want or expect. I release my expectations to you and trust you with the outcome of my requests. Strengthen my faith by the power of your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This Christian meditation on Luke 6:31–36 invites you into a guided Scripture reading using the Lectio Divina model. You’ll have space to pause, reflect, and listen for how God is inviting you to love others with compassion — even when it’s difficult.
Step Nine of the 12 Steps says: We made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
Making amends goes beyond saying “I’m sorry.” It’s about seeking restoration with love and wisdom, while also trusting God to guide us in situations where direct amends aren’t possible. In this meditation, we’ll reflect on Jesus’ words in Luke 6 and open our hearts to the Spirit’s invitation toward compassion, humility, and courage.
Take a few deep breaths, settle in, and let’s step into this time of Scripture meditation together.

Meditation Passage:
Luke 6:31–36 (NLT)
Do to others as you would like them to do to you.
If you love only those who love you, why should you get credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them! And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much! And if you lend money only to those who can repay you, why should you get credit? Even sinners will lend to other sinners for a full return.
Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.

Every day, we are bombarded with thousands of messages promising happiness, comfort, or even identity if only we buy the right product. But beneath the noise of advertising lies a deeper reality: we are already loved, already chosen, already whole in Christ. In this episode, Gem Fadling shines a light on how consumer slogans shape our sense of self and offers a way back to the truth of God’s word.
This conversation explores the difference between the “false self” and the “true self,” and invites us to embrace the pace of grace rather than the rush of consumption.
