Parenting can feel both sacred and exhausting. As our nightly prayer and devotional remind us, there are seasons when the days stretch long and patience feels thin—when every conversation with a teenager feels like a battle or when younger children test your limits before breakfast. It’s in these moments that Galatians 6:9 speaks directly to our weary hearts: keep sowing, keep showing up, and trust that God is at work in the unseen places.
Parenting is like farming: preparing the soil, planting seeds, and tending faithfully even when growth isn’t visible. Every prayer whispered, every correction given in love, every moment of compassion is a seed sown. Over time, God brings a harvest—character shaped, faith taking root, resilience rising, and glimpses of grace breaking through.
Even in the hard and unyielding seasons, God reminds us that our labor in love is not in vain. He is the Lord of the harvest, and He is faithful.
Tonight’s Scripture: Galatians 6:9
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Your Nightly Prayer
Lord,
Help us not to grow weary in the good work of parenting. Some days feel overwhelming, but You promise that in due time, we will reap a harvest if we don’t give up. Remind us that we don’t parent alone—you walk with us and intercede for us. Give us wisdom, discernment, and endurance. Help us see seeds of growth even when results feel far off. Let us parent with love, patience, and faith, trusting that You are always at work.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Three Things to Meditate Upon
What areas of parenting have you felt tempted to “give up on”? How might God be asking you to press in with renewed hope?
Picture what the “harvest” could look like in your home—peace, kindness, responsibility, spiritual growth. How does that vision encourage you today?
Where do you see God at work, even in small ways, in your children’s lives right now?
Calls to Action
Write down one “small win” you saw in your home this week and thank God for it.

If you’re a disciple, your priority is not your own desires; it’s to live for Him, to be devoted to Him, to know Him.
When we place our faith in Jesus, we become Christians, but being a disciple of Jesus requires a radical commitment to putting Him first in every aspect of life.

Today’s Bible Verse:
"For this reason, though I am bold enough in Christ to command you to do your duty, yet I prefer to appeal to you on the basis of love." Philemon 1:8–9
Episode Overview:
In his letter to Philemon, Paul highlights a powerful truth: true obedience and transformation in the Christian life are motivated not by force, but by love. Instead of commanding Philemon, Paul appeals to his heart, reminding us that love is the most compelling call to action.

For centuries, the Church wasn’t just a home for faith—it was the lighthouse of creativity and culture. But when did we stop leading the way in beauty, innovation, and art? And what happens when the Church loses its bond with the artist?
Catherine dives deep into this critical topic with special guests Isaac and Emily Gay, co-founders of the Parallel Society. With over twenty years of ministry experience pioneering creative communities, building prayer rooms, and raising three children of their own, Isaac and Emily have dedicated their lives to restoring creativity within the Church and equipping the next generation of artists.
What You’ll Hear in This Episode:
Notable Quotes:
“Creativity is not optional. It’s our calling.”
“Beauty is the language our culture still understands. Are we speaking it?”
“There is no formation without repetition. The job of a parent is to create space for the wild things to run.” – Isaac Gay
About the Guests:
Isaac and Emily Gay are founders of the Parallel Society, a ministry devoted to discipling artists in biblical truth. With two decades of experience engaging some of the most secular areas of the West, they offer invaluable insight on how the Church can once again become a wellspring of culture and innovation.
What if the future of your child’s faith—and the influence of the Church—depends on how we restore this forgotten partnership with creativity and beauty?
Tune in for encouragement, theological depth, and practical next steps for every parent who wants to raise a generation that doesn’t just reflect the world, but reclaims it for Christ through the power of art.

A Prayer for Reconcilliation
In today's episode by Gina L. Smith, we reflect on the ministry of reconciliation and how it applies to one of the most important relationships in our lives—our relationships with our parents. For years, family dynamics, unspoken pain, and even cultural labels cancloud how we see those who raised us. But Scripture calls us to view others not from a worldly perspective, but through the eyes of Christ.
Parents are more than their shortcomings, and when we choose to see them with compassion, we open the door for healing, restoration, and peace.
Reference: 2 Corinthians 5: 16-20
Prayer: Father, help me to see my parents through eyes of grace, not from a worldly point of view, but through your eyes. Help me to follow your example and be an ambassador of reconciliation. In the same way that I have been reconciled to you, being loved and forgiven unconditionally, I pray that I would seek that in my relationships , especially in my relationship with my parents. Help me to see the good they have done, and how you have sovereignly used them in my life, and not just those things that were not done perfectly. As I live this reconciliation and grace out, may those around you come to know you and be reconciled to you as well.
