Not to be served but to serve

(Matthew 20:24-28 NLT)

When the ten other disciples heard what James and John had asked, they were indignant. (25) But Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. (26) But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, (27) and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. (28) For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

1.Jesus came to serve

(Matthew 20:28 NLT)

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

(Philippians 2:5-9 NLT)

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. (6) Though he was God,he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. (7) Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, (8) he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. (9) Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names,

2.We are called to serve

(Matthew 20:25-27 NLT)

But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, (27) and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave.

(1Peter 5:6 NLT)

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.

What can we do now?

1. Pray for opportunities to serve

2. Find opportunities to serve

3. Serve joyfully

(Psalms 100:2 NIV)

Worship the Lord with gladness;come before him with joyful songs.

仕えられるためではなく、仕えるためにいる

ほかの十人の弟子たちは、ヤコブとヨハネがイエスにどんな願い事をしたかを聞いて、ひどく腹を立てました。(25) そこでイエスは、彼らを呼び集め、言われました。「この世の普通の人たちの間では、王は暴君であり、役人は部下にいばり散らすものです。 (26) だが、あなたがたの間では違います。リーダーになりたい者は、仕える者になりなさい。 (27) 上に立ちたいと思う者は、身を低くして仕えなければなりません。(28) メシヤのわたしでさえ、人々に仕えられるためではなく、みなに仕えるためにこの世に来たのです。そればかりか、多くの人の罪の代償として自分のいのちを与えるために来たのです。だからあなたがたも、わたしを見ならいなさい。」

1.イエスは仕えに来てくれた

(マタイ20:28 JCB)

メシヤのわたしでさえ、人々に仕えられるためではなく、みなに仕えるためにこの世に来たのです。そればかりか、多くの人の罪の代償として自分のいのちを与えるために来たのです。だからあなたがたも、わたしを見ならいなさい。」

(ピリピ2:5-9 JCB)

私たちに対するキリスト・イエスの態度を見ならいなさい。(6) キリストは神であられるのに、神としての権利を要求したり、それに執着したりはなさいませんでした。(7)かえって、その偉大な力と栄光を捨てて奴隷の姿をとり、人間と同じになられました。(8) そればかりか、さらに自分を低くし、犯罪人と同じようになって十字架上で死なれたのです。 しかし、それゆえに、神はキリストを高く天に引き上げ、最高の名をお与えになりました。

2.俺たちは仕えるように呼ばれている

(マタイ20:26-27 JCB)

だが、あなたがたの間では違います。リーダーになりたい者は、仕える者になりなさい。 (27) 上に立ちたいと思う者は、身を低くして仕えなければなりません。

(1ペテロ5:6 JCB)

あなたがたは、神の力強い御手の下で自分を低くしていなさい。ちょうどよい時に、神はあなたがたを高く引き上げてくださるでしょう。

あなたは誰に仕えることができる？

1. 仕える機会を祈り求める

2. 仕える機会を見つける

3. 喜びをもって仕える

喜びをもって主に仕え、喜びの歌を歌いつつ、神の御前に進み出なさい。

Jesus can heal you in your home

(Luke 7:1-10 NLT)

'When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people, he returned to Capernaum. (2) At that time the highly valued slave of a Roman officer was sick and near death. (3) When the officer heard about Jesus, he sent some respected Jewish elders to ask him to come and heal his slave. (4)So they earnestly begged Jesus to help the man. “If anyone deserves your help, he does,” they said, “for he loves the Jewish people and even built a synagogue for us.” (6) So Jesus went with them. But just before they arrived at the house, the officer sent some friends to say, “Lord, don’t trouble yourself by coming to my home, for I am not worthy of such an honor. (7) I am not even worthy to come and meet you. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves, ‘Do this,’ they do it.” (9) When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to the crowd that was following him, he said, “I tell you, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!”

(10) And when the officer’s friends returned to his house, they found the slave completely healed.'

1.Healing is not earned but a gift

(Psalms 145:8 TPT)

You’re kind and tenderhearted to those who don’t deserve it and very patient with people who fail you. Your love is like a flooding river overflowing its banks with kindness.

2.Jesus has the authority to heal

(Hebrews 1:3 TPT)

The Son is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor, the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of his spoken word. He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins, and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand of the majestic One.

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.

3.Jesus can heal you wherever you are

これらの話を終えると、イエスはカペナウムの町に帰って行かれました。(2)ちょうどそのころ、あるローマ軍の隊長が目をかけていた召使が、病気で死にかかっていました。 (3)イエスの評判を聞いた隊長は、日頃みんなに尊敬されているユダヤ人の長老たちをイエスのところにやり、召使のいのちを助けに来てくださいと願いました。 (4)長老たちは、この隊長がどんなにすばらしい人物かを説明し、熱心にイエスに頼みました。「あなたに助けていただく価値のある人がいるとしたら、この方こそふさわしい人です。 (5)ユダヤ人を愛し、会堂も建ててくれました。」 (6-7) そこで、イエスは長老たちといっしょに出かけました。家まであとわずかという時、隊長の友人たちが来て、彼のことづけを伝えました。「先生。わざわざおいでくださいませんように。とてもそんな名誉を受ける資格はございません。自分でお迎えに上がることさえ失礼と存じます。どうぞ今おられる所で、おことばをください。それで十分でございます。そうすれば、召使は必ず治ります。 (8)私は上官の権威の下にある者ですが、その私でさえ、部下には権威があります。私が『行け』と命じれば行きますし、『来い』と言えば来ます。また奴隷にも、『あれをやれ』『これをやれ』と言えば、そのとおりにするのです。」 (9)これを聞くと、イエスはたいへん驚き、群衆のほうをふり向いて言われました。「皆さん。これほどの信仰を持った人は、イスラエル中でも見たことがありません。」 (10)使いの者たちが戻ってみると、召使はすっかり治っていました。

1.癒しは、努力で得るものではなく、贈り物

(詩篇145:8 JCB)

主は優しく、あわれみ深く、すぐには怒らず、愛にあふれておられます。

2.イエスには癒す権威がある

(ヘブル1:3 JCB)

御子は神の栄光を受けて、まばゆいばかりに輝いています。また、その人格と行動すべてにおいて神であることを示し、力あることばによって万物を治めておられます。そればかりか、私たちのすべての罪の記録を消し去ってきよめるために死んでくださいました。そして今は、最高の栄誉を受けて、天におられる偉大な神のそばにいらっしゃるのです。

(マタイ28:18 JCB)

イエスは弟子たちに言われました。「わたしには天と地のすべての権威が与えられています。

3.あなたがどこにいても、イエスは癒すことができる

Passion poured out!

(Mark 14:3-9 TPT)

Now Jesus was in Bethany, in the home of Simon, a man Jesus had healed of leprosy. And as he was reclining at the table, a woman came into the house, holding an alabaster flask. It was filled with the highest quality of fragrant and expensive oil. She walked right up to Jesus, and with a gesture of extreme devotion, she broke the flask and poured out the precious oil over his head. (4) But some were highly indignant when they saw this, and they complained to one another, saying, “What a total waste! (5)  It could have been sold for a great sum, and the money could have benefited the poor.” So they scolded her harshly. (6) Jesus said to them, “Leave her alone! Why are you so critical of this woman? She has honored me with this beautiful act of kindness. (7) For you will always have the poor, whom you can help whenever you want, but you will not always have me. (8) When she poured the fragrant oil over me, she was preparing my body in advance of my burial. She has done all that she could to honor me. (9) I promise you that as this wonderful gospel spreads all over the world, the story of her lavish devotion to me will be mentioned in memory of her.”

Not everyone is going to be happy though... 

(Mark 14:4-5 TPT)

But some were highly indignant when they saw this, and they complained to one another, saying, "What a total waste! (5) It could have been sold for a great sum, and the money could have benefited the poor." So they scolded her harshly.

Jesus right now - is standing up for you!! 

(Mark 14:6-9 TPT)

Jesus said to them, "Leave her alone! Why are you so critical of this woman? She has honored me with this beautiful act of kindness. [7] For you will always have the poor, whom you can help whenever you want, but you will not always have me. [8] When she poured the fragrant oil over me, she was preparing my body in advance of my burial. She has done all that she could to honor me. [9] I promise you that as this wonderful gospel spreads all over the world, the story of her lavish devotion to me will be mentioned in memory of her."

"So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God's kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.

情熱が注がれた！

 嬉しく思わない人もいた・・・

A Recipe For A Breakthrough / Miracle

(Matthew 9:18-19 NLT) As Jesus was saying this, the leader of a synagogue came and knelt before him. “My daughter has just died,” he said, “but you can bring her back to life again if you just come and lay your hand on her.” (19) So Jesus and his disciples got up and went with him.

(マタイ 9:18-19 JCB)このように話していると、町の会堂管理人が駆け込んで来ました。そしてイエスの前にひれ伏し、「先生。私の幼い娘がたったいま息を引き取りました。どうかおいでくださって、手を置いて、あの子を生き返らせてください」と訴えました。(19)そこでイエスと弟子たちは、彼の家へ向かいました。

(マタイ 9:23-26 JCB)さて、イエスが会堂管理人の家に着くと、人々であふれ返り、弔い（とむらい）の音楽が聞こえてきます。(24)そこでイエスは、「さあ、この人たちを外に出しなさい。娘さんは死んではいません。ただ眠っているだけです」と言われました。それを聞くと、みんなはイエスをあざ笑いました。(25)人々がみな出て行くと、イエスは少女の寝ている部屋に入り、その手を取りました。するとどうでしょう。少女はすぐに起き上がり、もとどおり元気になったのです。(26)このうわさはたちまち、その地方一帯に広まりました。

態度：諦めない: 終わりじゃない、求めて！

(マルコ 5:35-36 JCB)こう話しておられる時、ヤイロの家から使いの者が来て、娘は死んでしまったので、来ていただいても手遅れだと伝えました。(36)しかしイエスは、ヤイロに言われました。「恐れてはいけません。ただわたしを信じなさい。」

環境：信仰に満ち溢れた人と一緒にいよう！

(マタイ 9:25 JCB)人々がみな出て行くと、イエスは少女の寝ている部屋に入り、その手を取りました。するとどうでしょう。少女はすぐに起き上がり、もとどおり元気になったのです。

(マルコ 5:40-42 JCB)それを聞いた人々は、イエスをあざ笑いました。しかし、イエスはみなを家の外に出すと、娘の両親と三人の弟子だけを連れて、娘のいる部屋に入られました。(41)そして娘の手を取り、「さあ、起きなさい」と声をかけました。(42)するとどうでしょう。少女はすぐに起き上がり、歩き始めたではありませんか〔娘はこの時、十二歳でした〕。両親は、ただあっけにとられています。

リバイバルの準備をしよう 

(エゼキエル 37:4-6 JCB)すると主は、これらの骨に向かって語るように私に言いました。「ああ、干からびた骨よ、神のことばを聞け。 (5)神である主がこう語るからだ。見よ。わたしはおまえたちを生かし、息を吹き返させる。(6)元のように肉をつけ、筋を与え、皮膚で覆う。わたしが息を吹き入れると、おまえたちは生き返る。その時、おまえたちはわたしが主であることを知る。」

1.Jesus wants a house full of sons and daughters

(Hebrews 2:9-13 NIV)

“But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.” And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.””

イエスが愛するものを愛そう！

エルサレムに着くと、イエスは宮に入り、境内で商売をしていた者たちを追い出しにかかって、両替人の机や、鳩を売っていた者たちの台をひっくり返されました。 (16) また、いろいろな荷物を持って境内を通り抜けることも、お許しになりませんでした。(17) そういう人たちに、イエスは、このように言われました。「聖書には、『わたしの家は、世界中の人たちの祈りの場所と呼ばれる』（イザヤ56・7）と書いてあるではありませんか。それなのに、あなたがたはここを強盗の巣にしてしまったのです。」(18) こうしたイエスの言動を耳にした祭司長やユダヤ人の指導者たちは、どうすれば首尾よくイエスを始末できるかと、相談を始めました。人々がみなイエスの教えに夢中になっていたので、へたに動いて暴動でも起きたら、それこそ一大事と考えたからです。

そのとき弟子たちは、「神の家を思う熱心が、わたしを焼き尽くす」（詩篇69・9）という、聖書の預言を思い出したのです。

1.イエスは息子/娘で溢れた家を求めている！

(ヘブル 2:9-13 JCB)

しかし、しばらくの間、天使よりも低くされ、私たちのために死の苦しみを味わうことによって、栄光と誉れの冠を受けられたイエスを見ています。イエスは、神の大いなる恵みのゆえに全人類のために死なれたのです。 (10)すべてのものをお造りになった神が、ご自分を信じる者たちを栄光ある天まで引き上げるためにイエスを苦しみに会わせられたのは、まことに正しいことでした。イエスはこの苦しみをくぐり抜けて、人々を救いに導くにふさわしい方となられたのです。 (11)イエスによってきよめられた私たちは、今では、イエスと同じ父（神）を持っています。だからこそイエスは、私たちを兄弟と呼ぶことを恥とはなさらないのです。 (12)イエスは、こう言っておられます。「わたしは、父なる神のことを兄弟たちに語ろう。そして、声を合わせて神を賛美しよう。」（詩篇22・22） (13)また、「兄弟たちと共に、神を信じよう」とも、「さあ、わたしはここにいる。神が与えてくださった子どもたちといっしょに」（イザヤ8・17-18）とも述べています。

2.イエスは祈りで溢れた(神様と繋がった)家を求めている

主であるわたしが、わたしの正義をはっきり示すために、あなたを呼んだ。わたしはあなたを守り、あなたを支える。わたしの民と結んだ契約を確かなものとするために、わたしはあなたを彼らのもとへ送った。あなたはまた、国々の民をわたしのもとへ導く光となる。

3.イエスは全ての国々で溢れた家を求めている

(ルカ 14:23 JCB)

それで、主人は言いました。『もうこうなったら、家がいっぱいになるように、街道や垣根の外へ行って、出会った者はだれでも、むりにでも連れて来なさい。 (24)初めに招待した者たちの中には、宴会の食事を味わうことのできる者は一人もいないのだ。』」
