Life is full of endings, including the ultimate ending of death. David recorded in Psalm 23 that God was with him throughout these endings of life. How can we be sure He is with us? How can we live the "with God" life when He has brought us to an ending? This is a difficult subject, but one we need to discuss together

Seasons of loneliness may be one of the most difficult seasons of all. It is a season when we seem to be alone, even in the midst of a crowd, when God is not answering, when no none seems to be able to help us or even encourage us. It is a season filled with doubt, confusion and often fear. Yet, God has promised to be "with us" during these times. Lets look at the scriptures and see how this is possible.

Jesus prayed, in John 17, that his disciples would be "in the world", but not "of the world". Difficult relationships can be emotionally painful and energy draining. They can make us angry and even depressed. These are not times of simple relational irritations, but times of seemingly hopeless heartbreak. We are called to not only persevere in these relationships, but to be forgiving, loving and seeking harmony with the difficult people in our lives. How can we do this? Only "with God".

Life has its seasons of difficulty. During those times we often wonder if God cares, if He is listening, is He really with us. Paul asks this very same question in Romans 8. How he answers it and what he suggests for realizing the "with God" life during bad times is the topic of this discussion.

You would think it would be easy to keep a close relationship with God when times are good. But the Scriptures warn us that it is during the Good Times that we often get distracted and forget about God. So how we cultivate a close relationship and not let "things" become too important?

We have so little discretionary time, and what we do in the little we have says a lot about where our hearts are. Our concepts of God, who He is and how He wants to relate to us can often cause us to exclude Him from our personal time. This discussion addresses some of these misconceptions and helps us determine how we can include God in our personal time.
