In today's message, we explore how building connections with others, even those who seem vastly different from us, can open doors to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is for everyone, regardless of their political beliefs or life situation, and we must share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others and lift up His name in all that we do. So, who in your life do you need to build a bridge with? Who do you need to connect with so that God can work through you to touch their heart and life?

Going the second mile is about doing the ordinary with excellence, and we must be excellent in our ordinary to open doors for the extra to happen. Our walk and relationship with Christ should be obvious to others, but we don’t need to be extra, just ordinary with excellence. We need to be ambitious without the promise of promotion and work as if we are working for the Lord rather than for people. We should be ordinary givers, giving our tithe, the 10%, with excellence, and there is freedom in giving to God. So, let us strive to be excellent in our ordinary and trust in God to provide the extra.

The grace of God is a starting point for all of us to experience the fullness of life that comes from accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We all need a starting point to begin a new adventure, just like how we plan and prepare for a vacation trip. The grace of God is that starting point for our walk and relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a free gift of God that qualifies us to participate in eternal life. It makes salvation available to each of us, regardless of our past or present circumstances. Which we are forever thankful for!

In this final part of David's prayer we see him ask God to lead him along the path of everlasting life. Faith in Christ is the first step on this path, and it's a daily walk that we must choose to follow. While we will fully experience everlasting life when we pass away and go to heaven, it's important to remember that we can live a rich and satisfying life now by following God's guidance. Ultimately, we need to trust what we follow, or else we could end up in danger or headed for destruction. So, let's ask ourselves: who or what are we following?

Life is a path, and we all follow someone or something. However, following doesn't guarantee safe passage, and we need a leader we can trust. David knew this, which is why he asked God to guide him. In today's message, we explore the idea that our starting point in life is determined by others, and we must choose the path we take. The path we choose will determine the course of our lives and will impact every facet of our existence. We must guard the influencers in our lives and be mindful of who we draw advice from. The world wants to influence us, and his path looks good, but it is the path of destruction. We must choose the path of everlasting life, the path that leads to Jesus Christ. We take a look at David's prayer to God to lead him. It's like the story of a young man who got lost in a blizzard and followed a snowplow, only to end up in the wrong place. Sometimes we follow things that lead us astray. We all follow someone or something, whether it's our own desires or the advice of others. The question is: what's guiding us? People get offended by nearly everything, including opinions, slogans, statements, and politics. Today, we can learn from David's prayer and ask ourselves, "Have I offended Jesus?" Jesus spoke seven messages to the seven churches in the book of Revelation, and the first church, Ephesus, was commended for their hard work, patience, and faithfulness. However, Jesus also told them that they needed to work on their love for Him and each other, and we should also focus on our own hearts rather than critiquing others. There is importance in turning our focus inward, and asking God to reveal anything in us that offends Him.
