Are you tired of feeling disconnected and distant from God? In a world filled with countless distractions, it's easy to lose sight of His presence. But imagine a life where you're constantly tuned in to the divine frequency, where every moment becomes an opportunity to experience God's love and guidance.
Just like the days when television signals were fuzzy and unclear, our spiritual reception can be affected by various interferences. Yet, the good news is that God is always present, just waiting for us to tune in. His promise to Joshua resonates with us today: "Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
It's time to stop relying on our fluctuating feelings to determine God's presence. He doesn't vanish when we feel distant or low. Instead, we need to eliminate the static noise of worry, doubt, and self-indulgence that hinders our connection with Him.
But we can't despair, for God never stops seeking us. He wants to in every aspect of our lives, from our relationships to our careers. There's no need to segment our spirituality or reserve it for Sundays alone. God doesn't sign off at the end of a service; He's with us when we wake up, in our cars, at work—always present.
So, let's take charge of our spiritual reception. Talk with the Lord like you would with a good friend. Be receptive to His leading and don't allow sin or grudges to block your awareness. Fill your mind with His Word and be available to His touch. As we tune into God, our faith and courage will grow, and we'll discover that He is truly our constant companion.

Choosing a good path is essential, and we all need a father to follow. A genuine, loving, and faithful father who sets an example, leads, guides, and teaches us how to navigate life. Others are watching and following us, including our wife, children, and friends. Our influence matters.

Leading well is crucial, the family cries out for a father to follow, one who chooses a good path and leads well. Joseph, often overlooked, was chosen by God to be the earthly father of Jesus. Despite public disgrace and ridicule, Joseph embraced his role, sacrificing everything to protect and raise Jesus as his own. God knows the faithful and selects them for significant tasks. Joseph's example teaches us that God chooses faithful men to be fathers, and through their dedication, they leave an indelible mark on their families.
We all need a father to follow—a father who embodies love, faithfulness, leadership, and guidance. Choosing a good path, leading well, trusting that God knows the faithful, and understanding that God chooses fathers are crucial aspects of fulfilling this role. Fathers have the power to shape lives and inspire generations, leaving a lasting legacy for those who follow in their footsteps.

In a world that seems to lack commitment and devotion, the words of John 15:5 come alive: "I am the vine, you are the branches." This passage reminds us of our vital union with Christ and the abundance of fruit we bear when we abide in Him. But in today's society, where respect for elders has diminished, we need mentors like Elijah was to Elisha. Mentors who can guide and strengthen us in our faith.
Listening and heeding advice, can save us from unnecessary pain and hardship. Yet, there is something innate in us that often pushes us to do things our own way, learning the hard way. But as they stumble and face the consequences, they realize the value of their mentors' advice and wisdom.
There are five virtues for a fruitful life, starting with commitment and devotion. As Christians, we are no longer our own but belong to God's Kingdom. The call to follow Jesus is not about convenience or personal gain but about total allegiance to the King. Just as the disciples left everything behind to follow Jesus, we are called to surrender our own desires and live for God.
We can't let our personal comfort and convenience take precedence over obedience to God's commands. It reminds us of the privilege we have to gather as a church and the sacrifice Jesus made for us. With this in mind, we are called to return to true discipleship, where we become strong me and women for the Kingdom of Heaven, reaching others and mentoring them in their faith.

Are you hungry for something more in life? Do you long for a deeper connection and fulfillment? Just like the aroma of a delicious childhood meal can evoke powerful memories and a desire for more, God has placed a hunger within us to know Him. From the beginning of time, people of all races and civilizations have sought to worship a god or gods, recognizing that there is something greater beyond themselves.

Religion may commend our efforts, but it falls short of satisfying our hunger for God. The Greeks in Athens had numerous shrines dedicated to their gods, but they still sensed that they were missing something, as evidenced by their altar to the "Unknown God." Paul recognized this hunger in the Greeks and proclaimed the truth about Jesus Christ, the true God who could save them.

In our world today, there is an abundance of spiritual junk food that promises satisfaction but leaves us empty. The devil offers counterfeits, enticing us with temporary pleasures and distractions. Drugs, material possessions, relationships – these are all fleeting and will never truly satisfy our souls.

But there is hope. Jesus is the Bread of Life. He offers lasting satisfaction and fulfillment. When we come to Him, we will never be hungry again. He fills the void within us, providing the spiritual nourishment we crave.

Some may laugh, mock, or walk away from the message of Jesus, but others will be drawn to Him. Just as Paul preached to the people of Athens, we are called to share the Bread of Life with those around us. Some will believe and experience the transformative power of Jesus in their lives.

So, are you hungry for God? Religion won't satisfy your hunger, and spiritual junk food is only a temporary fix. Turn to Jesus, the One who can truly satisfy your soul. Embrace the hunger within you and seek a deeper relationship with Him. He is the answer to your longing, the Bread of Life that will nourish you for eternity.

In a world consumed by busyness and distractions, it's easy to overlook the value of spending time with Jesus. Just like Martha in the biblical story, we often find ourselves caught up in the demands of life, missing out on the best part. But there's a lesson to be learned from Mary, who recognized the power that comes from sitting at Jesus' feet and feasting on His words.

One particular visit by Jesus to Mary and Martha's house is recorded in Luke 10. While Martha busied herself with preparations, Mary chose to prioritize her time with Jesus. Despite Martha's frustration, Mary understood the importance of her spiritual health and the power that came from being in the presence of the Lord.

We all have our "Martha moments" when we get caught up in work and responsibilities, neglecting our relationship with Jesus. We can become dried up like a once-flowing creek bed, longing for the days when we were full of life. But the truth is, power and satisfaction come from spending time with Jesus, not from our own human efforts.

While hard work is valuable, we shouldn't neglect the precious moments spent with Jesus. Being in the midst of life's challenges doesn't mean we put our lives on hold. Instead, we can lean into this season, growing closer to God and allowing His living water to flow through us, refreshing and restoring not only ourselves but those around us. So, let us prioritize the best part, spending time with Jesus, and experiencing the power and satisfaction that come from knowing Him deeply.

Have you ever had a moment where you went above and beyond for someone else, even when it wasn't required? That's what we call a second mile moment, and they're all around us. The story of Joseph from Genesis 40 illustrates this concept, where Joseph found himself in a situation of struggle and yet experienced a divine appointment that presented a second mile opportunity. We grow through these second mile moments which are appointed by God, giving us an opportunity to trust in Him and experience His guidance and leading in our lives. Every day, we are presented with a challenge to find ways to help others and consider who or what is guiding us in our lives.

Going the second mile is about doing the ordinary with excellence, and we must be excellent in our ordinary to open doors for the extra to happen. Our walk and relationship with Christ should be obvious to others, but we don’t need to be extra, just ordinary with excellence. We need to be ambitious without the promise of promotion and work as if we are working for the Lord rather than for people. We should be ordinary givers, giving our tithe, the 10%, with excellence, and there is freedom in giving to God. So, let us strive to be excellent in our ordinary and trust in God to provide the extra.
