There are shortcomings that can arise in our life over time. We must be on guard against apathy and complacency in our life. Fireworks aren’t going off 24/7 in both our marriage and spiritually. But we must embrace the time we spend with Christ and our spouse.

In Ephesians 5 we see instructions of how husbands should treat their wives. In the same way God is married to His church. When we walk within relationship with Jesus Christ, our lives begin to change.

For many years, people had stopped talking about the coming of Jesus Christ. Things have been sailing along so smoothly that Christians have become comfortable and complacent. But the events of today, have caused many sleeping Christians to wake-up.

In Matthew 25 we see this parable illustrated perfectly. When met with the arrival of Jesus there were some that were ready and some who weren't. We are met with that choice. Whether to pursue Jesus, whether to make Him a priority.

Temptation will always come around in our life. We slay temptation when we stop justifying our bad behavior. We slay temptation when we stop making excuses for our actions. We slay temptation was we overcome doubt and unbelief through the Word of God. We slay temptation as we recognize that Satan is a liar and the master of deception.

In Matthew 4 we see Jesus face this temptation. When the devil comes to Him, He remains faithful and firm. You can’t make a deal with the devil. We slay temptation as we overcome dissatisfaction by surrendering all of our ambitions and desires to God.

We live by making choices everyday. Whether they are good choices or bad choices they often determine where our life is heading. We are given the choice whether to be prideful or to have humility. When we have humility we are showing trust in and credit to God, rather than ourselves.

In 1 Samuel we see King Saul disregarded God’s assignment by doing what was good in his own judgment. God rejected King Saul. The presence of God withdrew from King Saul’s life. God chose David to be the king in Saul’s place. In Saul's pride we see his downfall. We must allow the Holy Spirit to lead us and to deal with us about things in our life. We must seek God’s will in everything we do.

Many of us have experienced failure before. Everyone has had life knock them down. Even though our past may be messy God will never quit on us. God is always merciful, loving, compassionate and forgiving. God will never leave you alone in the wilderness of life. Often times we allow our past and where we have been to hinder our relationship with God.

God can use the very thing that you have been hiding from to bring glory, victory and deliverance to others who are in bondage. In Exodus we see this demonstrated perfectly in how God used Moses.

Today, our world needs light. We are the light of Jesus in a world of darkness. Jesus said we are the light of the world, are light is pointing the way to eternal life in Jesus. That light is leading the way to forgiveness of sin and the removal of guilt and shame. That light shows the world there is Hope and Peace in the midst of the storm. Jesus said we are the light of the world. That light offers a plan for every person’s life and a better way of

living through Jesus Christ.

Don’t be frustrated by the condition of the world, be the light. The world needs to see Jesus in us. We are a

reflection of the light of Jesus. We are a reflection of the hope of Jesus.

Find delight in loving and honoring others. Find joy in caring for and loving others. In Luke 19 we see a man by the name of Zacchaeus. Many looked at Zacchaeus as unworthy and unlovable, but if ever a man needed the love and attention of Jesus, it was Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus focused on Jesus and he was able to get into the presence of God. No matter the person Jesus will always be willing to meet them.
