In today’s episode, let’s remind ourselves who we are listening to, who we are communing with, and who we are meditating on. The God of the universe. 

Secular nuances and other religions have tried to take words like meditation and pervert them. Meditation simply means to focus on something or on some thought intently. Merriam-Webster defines mediate as a verb that means to engage in contemplation or reflection; to focus one’s thoughts on, to reflect on or ponder over. If we are taking two minutes to focus on the God of the Bible we are meditating on Him or if we take 5 minutes to focus on a passage of scripture we are mediating on His words.

On today’s episode, I felt like the Lord was leading me to talk to you about what we all need to unpack. It’s been a lot of packing and unpacking for our family since April and wouldn’t you know it, I hate packing! 

We lived in our camping trailer for 8 weeks and then a friend’s house for 4 weeks. We move into our house this week, the last week of July.

As you might expect, we are living without most of our things while they remain in storage, but through this process, we have seen how God provides. 

In this episode, we are finishing our three-part series on my tagline. You are seen. You matter. And now we are ready to receive what God wants us to know about being loved by Him. Each one of us needs to know that we are deeply, steadfastly, and unconditionally loved by the Creator of the Universe. 

1 John 3:1 states it outright, “See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would (be permitted to) be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are!”

As Light Bearers in Training we have to put God first, but there is therefore now condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Period. So don’t allow feelings of guilt and shame, just start again today. God deserves to be in a place of honor in our lives because He matters to us.

Today, we are going to continue our three-part series with the next statement, you matter. Each of us needs to know that we matter in our home, in our community, in relationships, and in God’s big story. 

I’m sure by now you’ve heard my tagline. You are seen. You matter. You are loved. This was a phrase given to me by the Lord when I was trying to figure out what my brand would be as an author. I didn’t want my website or my podcast to be about me. I wanted them to be about you, my audience and that’s what I feel like He gave me. 

Every person needs to know that they are seen by God, that they matter greatly in His story, and that they are deeply, steadfastly, and unconditionally loved by the Creator of the Universe. In light of that, we are going to do a three-part series with an episode on each of these statements.

In today’s episode, we’re going more in depth on what it means to be seen by God. 

In today’s episode we are going to talk about the eternal impact in the everyday moments of our lives. Let’s take some deep breaths as we settle in together. 

Last week, we talked about God making a way in circumstances. While the scenario I shared happened over months, God only needs a moment.

In today’s episode we’re going to talk about God, our Way Maker. So let’s settle in with Him to receive the Word He has for us today. 

God is a Way Maker. Many times when we want something, we can’t see this. It can often feels like He’s standing in our way. But I have learned many times over the almost 15 years I’ve been walking with Him, that if He says no or stands in my way, it’s for my good or for the good of someone around me. 

Have you heard the song, Graves into Gardens? I love the lyrics that state, “He turns seas into highways. He turns dry bones into armies. He turns graves into gardens. He’s the only one who can.” He makes a way where there is no way. In our human eyes we can’t see His purpose playing out, but we can trust in His steadfast love for us.

Remember, you are seen, you matter, you are loved.

In episode 5 we talked about how you can picture yourself putting on your helmet to guard your thoughts, today we’re going to look at the Full Armor of God that is found in Ephesians 6.

In the book of Ephesians, Paul is talking to the believers in Ephesus about how to live a Godly life and resist falling back into their old lives.

In verse 6:10 we see Paul tell the believers to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might, not our might. He follows that in verse 11, saying we can stay strong in the Lord and resist the schemes of the Devil by putting on the whole armor of God. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 

This is describing spiritual warfare, which is one of the main things that the Light Bearers Series is all about.
