Welcome back to LMLD! We begin the episode by sharing our "lights" of the week. Then, we go into the topic which is inspired by our mixed feelings in regards to the mask mandate being lifted in the state of Illinois. We reflect on all the ways we have struggled through all the variety of changes during the pandemic and what this next chapter really looks like. In addition, we discuss more broadly why we have a hard time with change and specific instances where it could be more of a struggle than others. Although we didn't really reach a conclusion with anything we said, it definitely felt good to put all our thoughts out there. Then, we concluded the episode by sharing what we're into for the week. Conclusion: we really hate change...let us know we're not alone!

Welcome back to LMLD! We began by sharing our "lights" of the week, and then dove into the topic which was focused on burnout. We discussed where burnout comes from, why some tend to experience it more than others, and how its definition can be different for everyone. We also brainstormed ways that we can combat burnout and work to be the most productive and happiest versions of ourselves. Although this week's episode may have began from a little burnout ourselves, it ended up being a great conversation and we hope you enjoyed it! Finally, we shared what we're into for the week. See you next time!

Welcome back to LMLD! We begin the episode by sharing our "lights" of the week. In honor of Valentine's Day, we explore a long list of things that we love and things we hate. From more specific things like our night time routines or drivers turning into the lane next to you all the way to bigger themes like our country or music, our lists truly covered it all. We also discuss the things that fall into both love and hate. It was fun to see which things we both had on our lists, as well as how our lists differed and what areas we chose to really dive into. We hope you laughed as much as we did with this segment. Then, we dive into what we're into for the week. Hope you all have a great week and we will see you next week!

Welcome back to LMLD! We are so excited for this week's episode. We begin by sharing our "lights" of the week and introduce our guest, JCC Inclusion Coordinator and advocate Rena Rosen! Rena shares how she became so passionate about inclusion and her journey to doing the work she does today. We discuss her mantra of kindness, the importance carving your own path, and brainstorm ways that we can be curious about others differences. She also mentions some of her proudest moments, including her interviewing one of her biggest inspirations, starting a business, and co-authoring a children's book! Welcome back to LMLD! This week we begin by sharing our “lights” of the week, which includes a very unfortunate update on our health. Luckily, we are on the mend and are #ThankfulForScience. We then dove into our topic of the week, which was a reverse of the fun quiz that Lauryn gave Jamee last week. This time, Jamee tested Lauryn on all of the fun terms and trends of the late 80s and early 90s to see how educated she was on the past decades. Spoiler alert: she did better than Jamee...but only slightly. Overall, they are pretty much in sync--Lauryn knows her stuff about the past and Jamee is a cool and trendy mom! We finished by sharing what we’re into for the week aka the things got us through this quarantine times. This was another hilarious episode and we hope you all enjoyed it!

Welcome back to LMLD! We are so excited about this episode. We begin by sharing our "lights" of the week, including an extremely tumultuous experience for both Lauryn and Jamee. After, we go into the topic of the week which was all inspired by a conversation that Lauryn and Jamee had as she tried to describe to her what the term "wook" meant, sparking a related discussion over what kinds of slang, trends, and things she knew. We then decided to turn this into a quiz where Lauryn compiled a list of all the things that the ~cool kids~ have been saying, doing, or following over the last year to see whether or not Jamee is up to date on all the trends. The results showed that she was about halfway with it, which Lauryn deemed was pretty good, though Jamee wants a rematch. Lauryn agreed that next time she would let Jamee quiz her on all things from her generation, which is a big deal for her because she always claims she doesn't like to fail. We finish by sharing what we're into for the week. We hope you enjoyed this hilarious episode and laughed along with us...we'll see you next week!

Welcome back to LMLD! We kicked off the episode by sharing our "lights" of the week, which in mother/daughter fashion were very much the same. Then, we dove into this week's topic, which was heavily inspired by our latest obsession aka the Wordle game. We discuss why trends like these become so popular and obsessive and then tend to fade away very soon after. We talk about past fads that we were into and how these have served as an escape and a place to come together in our world. Finally, we share what we're into for the week. We hope you enjoy!

Happy new year and welcome back to LMLD! We began our episode by sharing our "lights" of the week. Then, we dove into our topic of the week which is all about how we approach goal-setting for the new year. Rather than going on a complete crazy resolutions rampage or screwing that mindset and refusing to engage, we feel as though we fall right in the middle. With that being said, we decided to come up with areas of self-acceptance as well as self-growth that we would like to work on and maintain in the new year. This episode we specifically focus on our self-acceptance and self-growth of our mind and body as we share what we hope this year will bring for us in both of these areas. This was a very helpful and productive conversation for the both of us. We wrapped up by sharing what we're into for the week. We hope you enjoyed the episode and stay tuned for part two up next week! Follow us on Instagram @likemotherlikedaughterpod and like us on Facebook!
