Our speaker this month is Alec Carberry. Alec currently work for MCL Construction as a pre-construction lead. I have spent 10 years in the commercial construction industry, starting as a field laborer and working up to pre-construction management. Currently I specialize in commercial pre con efforts on large T/I projects & small to mid-size ground up projects. I specialize in working with customers from the conceptual phase through the pricing of construction documents and hand off to project management. I am a very entrepreneurial spirited individual- which has led me to the world of real estate investing, and eventually into small business.

Our speaker this month is Amanda Dickinson. Amanda is the owner and managing broker of Living Doors Real Estate. We are a property management company that serves the Lincoln, Seward, and York area in Nebraska. We manage 25 Million in assessed property values which equals out to around 322 rental units.  I grew up in the rental property business. My parents owned rentals and my dad took my brother and I with him during the summers to help work on their rental properties. In high school and during college, I told my parents I wanted nothing to do with real estate and I was going to sell all their properties once I inherited them. As you can see, that thought has changed and now I spend my days managing their rentals and many others.  I started my management company in 2017 while I was working my W2 job. Quit my W2 job in late 2018 to go full time in my business and the growth has kept coming since then. I called my company "Living Doors" because I wanted to encompass our service of providing more to our tenants than just a rental home. I try to help out our tenants in all areas of their living. I learned first hand from my parents that what sets you apart from another landlord is how you treat your tenants. Our relationship with our residents is a high priority of my company.  Last year, I ventured into coaching other landlords on how to self manage their own rental properties based on the procedures and services I have created inside my management company. All mom and pop landlords should be operating as a business and a property manager, because that is what you are!  On top of all of that jazz, I am a wife and mother of 3 kids. My "why" for everything I just listed in this bio is my family. 

Our Speaker this month is Paul Vojchehoske. Paul has spent 21 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. In 1997, I embarked on my real estate sales and investing career. In 2000 I started teaching pre-licensing and continuing education class in Nebraska. In 2004, I hit the national training circuit which has taken me from Washington to West Virginia. I specialize in teaching property management and Fair Housing related topics.

Our speaker this month is Ryan Omel, The Investor Nextdoor. Ryan will share some lessons he has learned as a residential REI and about being a Co-Founder of Launch Homebuyers in a discussion titled “Moron to Millions: The Rocket Launch, right up to the moon and back”. Ryan’s success in life is as a direct result of his faith and trust in the Lord. He is the husband to a beautiful and amazing woman, Jennifer Omel and proud father to five young adults: Eleanor, West, Natasha, Dane and Rowen, he is a recovering Certified General Real Property Appraiser and, he is considering training to be an Olympic breakdancing team member in four years. He has flipped 100+ houses and been involved in 300+ single family real estate transactions over the past 20 years.

Our speaker this month is Mike Kuzma. Drawing on his commercial, real estate, and tax experience, Mike acts as the chief managing officer and general counsel of KL Capital. In addition to his duties at KL Capital, Mike works as a private practice attorney at the national law firm of Hilgers Graben, PLLC where he works on complex commercial litigation and transactions. He graduated summa cum laude from Nebraska Wesleyan University, earned a law degree with honors from the University of Nebraska College of Law, and was awarded a David L. Boren Fellowship to be a visiting honors scholar at Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Our speaker this month is John Biegler. John is a seasoned real estate investor and entrepreneur with extensive experience in various aspects of property investment and management. He has invested in real estate both solo and in various partnerships, demonstrating his versatility and expertise in the field. John's diverse experience includes Brrrr (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat), flips, buy-and-hold single-family rentals, and value-add multi-family properties. His strong foundation in real estate has allowed him to navigate complex property transactions and market trends effectively.

In addition to his real estate ventures, John has a notable background in the roofing industry. He held key roles in one of the country's largest roofing companies, where he gained significant industry knowledge and expertise. Leveraging this experience, John founded Shield Roofing, a successful roofing company. Moreover, he owns multiple businesses, showcasing his exceptional leadership and entrepreneurial skills. John's dedication and commitment to excellence are evident across all his endeavors, making him a valuable asset in both real estate and business sectors.

Our Speaker this month is Grant Francke. Grant started learning everything I could about real estate investing in 2016 with the goal of leaving my job at BNSF to spend more time with my wife and kids. Primarily focus on off market value add deal in SE Nebraska. I self manage our portfolio and have built systems and processes up that now I don't have talk to my tenants any more.

Left BNSF in 2019 and have continued to invest, some with equity partners. Currently portfolio is 104 doors and ~$8M in AUM.
