  • Line of Sight Episode 208 - Kidmachine (Warmachine for Kids)
On Episode 208 of Line of SIght, Jaden takes the reins to walk through the
newest format from the gang - Kidmachine! Kidmachine is a set of guidelines
to help walk you, the adult, through the process of simplifying the rules
of our favorite wargame down for both very young (3 to 7) and semi young (8
to 12) children who have an interest in tabletop gaming. The mental
benefits for such a process cannot be overstated, as Wargaming in general
develops mathematical, artistic, and spatial awareness that are difficult
to instill through traditional methods very quickly. If you've got kids in
the home or maybe ones that you interact with on a regular basis, you
aren't going to want to miss this episode of Line of Sight!

and then dive deep into some possible workarounds for making it better for
    play within the current ruleset.
Next, they go completely off the rails and suggest a number of core rule
and terrain rule changes and additions that they think would make 3
Dimensional Terrain more viable for competitive Warmachine play without
sacrificing the core strengths of the game. We don’t often do rules
redesigns/homebrews on this podcast, so you won’t want to miss this
