Link To The Cast

With Dave away this week due to unforeseen circumstances, what luck it was that we had a guest booked to keep Mark from talking to himself any more than he already does. This week we are joined by the Katsuyori Shibata of audio that is Sean McGee (@TeletextsSeanMc on the tweet machine), and they discuss:

Youtuber pleads guilty to two counts of illegal gambling.

Next big PS4 firmware update (finally!) brings external hard drive support

News on Nintendo's release strategy going forward.

Can Mark do another Daveless show without compulsively writing sonnets about how much he misses him?

Our book club this week is a first from one of the most famous and significant franchises in gaming history, as we take a deep dive into Final Fantasy IX.

Dave rejoins the 'cast this week as we tackle the big stories in gaming:

*Resident Evil 7 or WWE Champions- which is scarier?

*ZeniMax awarded $500m in Oculus lawsuit, which is definitely the only bad thing that's happened to Oculus lately

*There's a new FIFA game coming, fancy that.

*What game are WB teasing?

This week's book club sees us looking back at some classic N64 Sci Fi action with Lylat Wars aka Star Fox 64.

Resident Evil 7 is out and looks absolutely terrifying.

Classic FM will have a show dedicated to video game music.

Team 17 want to make Worms into an eSport - which should definitely happen.

Finally, this week on our book club:

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and in our last proper pod before we close the LTTC offices for the holidays, we have a lot to talk about.

*The ins and outs of a rural Catholic mass

*Mark's arduous time playing the PS2 import of TNA iMPACT

*Danny O'Dwyer's three part documentary on DOOM.

*Is XBox One's main value as a backwards compatible machine at this point?

*Pewds trolls the world.

Our book club this week is a more loose discussion than usual where we briefly discuss some of the games on our Game of the Year shortlist that we haven't had time to talk about so far.

Stay tuned over the Christmas/New Years period where we'll be releasing our Game of the Year special podcasts which won't ruin any friendships at all. We hope.

The lads are back and ready to get Stardew Pal-ley. On the show this week:

*A discussion of the fine food and sights of Prague from Dave's trip that succeeds in making Dave and Mark very hungry for the rest of the show

*That Guardians of the Galaxy trailer

*Had we been too harsh on Virginia? Is Battlefield 1 even better than we give it credit for?

*Highlights from the Game Awards including a LOT of Kojima talk.

*A metric ton of news from PSX including some fawning over The Last of Us Part II.

*The rest of this week's gaming news.

Our book club this week is one Mark has been ready for for sometime, as we take our tools and go farming in Stardew Valley.
