On the 21st anniversary of making it's submission to the National Inquiry into the Removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children from Their Families, Link Up NSW held a reunion for contributors. A number of those attending recounted the emotional stories of their personal journey to reconnect with family, while discovering their identity in the process. More than a few wrote poetry to help with the healing process, and those poems can be found in the book, "In The Best Interest of The Child". Stolen Generations member, Julie Wilson and John Hunter spoke of their own trauma and how it continues to affect their families.
