This book is an easy, don't-put-down, type of book. While I am dubious of "business success" books, this takes a unique "military meets business" angle. There were a few things in this book that I've never thought of before or read .. and my thought was, "yeah, that makes good sense." I will be applying some concepts in my professional relationships.

Short, sweet, to the point! Powerful message!

This is simply the best leadership reference guide. Tom Crea gets to the point quickly with real world advise. What are your values? What will you not compromise? Do your staff, customers and company believe they can depend on you when it counts? My advise - keep this book on your desk and refer to it often.

Perfect for emerging leaders or those looking for tactical action plans!

I feel like rating books is so tough since I read so many, I've read some life changing books like Deming on Management and then some not so good books which I just won't mention. I gave this book 4 stars because, in my opinion, this is a great book for emerging and mid-level managers or those managers who are looking for an actionable everyday tactics to connect with their people or organization. If you are a more experienced leader than you may find this book a great reminder. Evan does a great job sharing his personal experiences both successful and lessons learned. The prose is written conversational so it's an easy read and you don't need to do it in one sitting from back to front. It's definitely written in a way so that you can open a page and get a little nugget of advice. Full disclosure, I know Evan personally and his book is an interesting account of his journey. You, like myself, may even find some similarities when comparing challenges. Evan surely pulls no punches on describing his failures and lessons learned, as well as, his successes.

The author begins by presenting ten multiple choice questions relating to the future foreign policy direction for our country. He then provides compelling arguments for an Independent America, a Moneyball America, and an Indispensable America and answers the multiple choice questions from each perspective. I found his inclusion of the Powell Doctrine very valuable - these are necessary questions that must all be answered affirmatively by any administration before it decides to engage in war. While I didn't concur with the author's conclusion regarding America's future foreign policy direction, I found the book stimulated a lively discussion by my reading group.

Free to Choose, Foreign Policy Style...

This is a book that lays out the arguments for three different paths for American foreign policy. The author asks that you consider the arguments for each and decide for yourself which is the best path. He gives his choice and reasoning in the conclusion. It is well written and easy to understand but it helps if you have an interest in foreign affairsâa good book for a political science class and a must-read for any politician, and I must say, Rand Paul could have written the conclusion.

I went in with my own ideas on the best foreign policy for America and after reading this book my ideas have been reinforced. I choose âIndependent Americaâ but I found that the Authorâs arguments in favor of this path were not completely in line with mine.
