Good Read on Leadership

Wrede does not tell leaders what they should do. He is smart enough to know that all leaders are different, molded by their own experiences and various backgrounds.

However, through his studies and own leadership experiences he has skillfully identified patterns that can result in poor leadership decisions, areas Wrede calls ârabbit holes.â This short book is definitely worth the time of anyone making decisions, whether you are part of a large corporation or small non-profit organization.

Leaders at All Levels Can Benefit From This Book

After many years in leadership positions, I read this book with much interest. Throughout my career I have seen many of these leadership mistakes and their results. Wrede is absolutely correct about the disruption they can cause in an organization. The unfortunate fact is that the majority of the mistakes that I have observed were made unintentionally. This book would be an excellent must read for leaders/managers at all levels; junior level, mid level, and senior level. This book is an easy read; written with humor and easy to understand examples. It would be an excellent resource for mid and senior level training sessions. Wrede's examples are written to generate discussion and thought. I highly recommend this book.

Well worth the read.

Unlike so many of the other leadership books I have read this is up there with the best. Its easy & interesting to read without drilling to deeply into the academic niceties of the discipline. Its one of those books that you can see the author actually has real world experience in his subject.

Straight up leadership at any level

Ken Wrede's views on leadership speak to both the seasoned leader and the novice manager. 6 Rabbit Holes of Leadership has plenty of real life vignettes and practical wisdom - there's something for everyone in this book. Perhaps most importantly, 6 Rabbit holes is a great reminder of what works and what doesn't and provides plenty of thought provoking material for current and future leaders.

A voice from the real world.

I wish I had this 20 years ago! There's a fantastic clarity in the expression of these rabbit holes that has shown me not just my shortcomings but how to overcome them. I'm always looking for ways to improve my leadership skills and I would highly recommend this to anyone in a leadership position, regardless of their experience level.
