"Circle" this as a must read! @badwordplay
This book is a story about achieving wisdom in life, through a path that the author has set up for us. There are four Circles of Wisdom, that are interconnected, and very important stepping stones on the path to Wisdom. To tell this story, he uses four different characters: Ruf the dog, Pek the rooster, May the goat, and OM the ranch manager. They each have their own way of dealing with difficult situations, looking out for themselves or their small group of friends, but it isnât until they start working together, and take the âPath of Unityâ, do their problems work out in satisfactory ways.
This is a really interesting take on a self help book. Instead of the author just laying out the facts, and saying âDo this, do that, donât do these thingsâ, he writes a story centered around the problems that he is trying to solve, and then goes about solving them. It is a much more entertaining read that way, reading it as a story with a lesson attached, instead of reading a lesson given to you by a teacher. I havenât read a lot of self-help books in the past, so I donât know if this type of writing is becoming the norm, but I think it is a much better way to get your point across, and to instill the values that you want people to implement into their lives.
An entertaining, short read, for anyone looking for a little bit of enlightenment in their lives.
Wise and creative professional, thinker, strategist and writer
The Circle of Wisdom is written by Dr Stone, an author, life coach, public speaker and psychiatrist of international acclaim. He is also a master in creative writing. His book reminds readers of
George Orwell ' s Animal Farm (1945), where the protagonists are animals on a farm in a fable-like political system where "some animals are more equal than others".
The real protagonist of this book is "Wisdom". The title and illustration on the front cover of the book depicts Dr Stone's principle of "The Circle of Wisdom" which he presents as 4 interconnected circles. Each of the circles represent one milestone on the path towards Wisdom:
Circle 1 -- represents the freedom from ties of your past, be it fear, anxiety or trauma and awareness of the problem and need to change.
Circle 2-- represents growth and continuous learning that influences your decision-making.The development of the warrior and willingness to see the real you, the real problem and the real solution.. To be open to our reality, action and reactions.
Circle 3-- represents courage and leadership, empowerment and facing the real pain we suffer while looking at its source and cause.
Circle 4-- represents cultivating total forgiveness for everyone involved, letting go judgements and resentments.
You have always been on this path of Wisdom but you must look with courage at your misconceptions of reality.
