Good history book

Will use it to help homeschool my grandkids this fall - esp since we live in Alaska. Finally the study of Alaskan history became a requirement up here - but only for high schoolers. Will work on it for my 4th and 5th graders.

You've got TIME enough to read Chance Fortune 3!!

I read this awhile back while still in rough form (yes, I'm a bit of a volunteer beta-reader, so yes, I admit to some bias here). Personally, it's my favorite of the trilogy. To me, it is the most polished, most creative and original, and the most honest. I also liked getting a little backstory on some influential characters from book one, not to mention some, uh, future-story? ;) If I had one complaint, it is that a few of Chance's teammates take a back seat, as they had done in book two. Maybe we will dig deeper into them in the future? Or is it the past? But as with the rest of the series, it is not short on thrills and twists and turns....as a novel about super (and not so super) heroes should be.

The illustrated Little Mermaid

Mermaids have always been my passion and collection (not sure why). When I was a little girl my favorite comic book was about a mermaid called Merna the Mermaid, when ever I read this comic I use to say I wanted to grow up to be a mermaid. Well, you can imagine why that didn't happen but when the story of "The Little Mermaid" came out, it peaked my interest even more. Now I collect everything that has to do with mermaids. The story of the little mermaid is a great story and Disney made it's version even better. Although I am not so much into the cartoon version anymore I still add to my collection and I will never let go of my book "The Little Mermaid"!

This is truely one of the most beautiful illustrated versions of the little mermaid and it makes all the other kids book . I knew I was getting a used book so I expected to not be perfect however there was writting in it that was covered up with a white sticker and the binding was a bit loose that was not quite described. It's no so bad as I can tell it was well loved by the previous owner

Timeless Story

Great story - never grows old. Read to my 7 yr old twin nephews before we headed out to Copenhagen this summer. They loved book and seeing Little Mermaid in person.

The trip down memory lane continues. What great fun it is to return to the Green Meadow and Smiling Pond of my childhood. All that is missing are the illustrations.

Fun Five Minute Stories

Great five minute stories that I remember reading as a kid and now I can start reading them to my daughter. Simple and easy to understand, many of the stories teach lessons about morals, instead of mindless blather. I am enjoying reading through the series again.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE BURGESS CHARACTERS

I grew up on these and LOVED them! Never tired of hearing them over and over again. If you read to your children or grandchildren, you'll want them all.

Not has good has his other books

Not bad, but definitely not has good most of his other books & I found my self getting annoyed with it or rather pinocchio, I don't know it's that I knew the story quite well, having listened to the original book, and seen the cartoon & the live action film a few times or it was his mistakes that I could see was wrong at the time or what.

Super cute and great for early readers

Super cute and great for early readers! My daughter who has a sibling who is special needs has so far enjoyed reading this book! It has lingo from Britain so I do have to explain some stuff to her but itâs honestly a great book!

I enjoyed it

Its a bit similar to other stories by Jaqueline Wilson. I had just finished reading Cookie - and the character Chloe in Sleepovers was very similar to Skye in Cookie. I liked how the girls didn't make fun of the main character's sister, Lily, who has special needs. I would recommend it for 8-10 year olds.

The book is great and very interesting especially the main characters. The book is hard to put down once you start .

The way how the book made me feel happy, sad and then happy again made me feel like I was one of the five characters. The book was easy and fun to read. I would highly recommend this entertaining book.
