Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice!

Paranormal romances are some of my favorites, and any good PNR will have the right mix of supernatural, steamy romance and action. Kym Grosso's Immortals of New Orleans series delivers story after story of thrilling plots, steamy action, and have the hottest alphas who's bedroom play is like sugar, spice and everything nice! They aim to please with their kisses and affection, but love it when their mates submit in the most delicious ways. Each story is orgasmic and pushes the boundaries a little further each time and Jax just might be the dirtiest of them all.

While there's lots of bedroom play, Jax's and Katrina's mating comes with some challenges. From earlier in the series, Kat and Jax have a bad history. Jax believes Kat accursed him of trying to force a mating with her; however, there's more to that story. Kat has been on the run from demonic forces who are out to steal her magic. They have kidnapped her several times, and told her if she was to ever mate, her mate would die. These demonic forces have now captured Jax, and when Jax escapes he discovers Kat was captured as well and rescues her. After their escape, they soon realize they are true mates, and must work together to stop these demons before they steal all of Kat's magic and she dies.

Ryan West's performance ROCKS! He's got a great voice, and really delivers on all the sexy alpha's voices. His narration really makes these stories sizzle.

Immortals of New Orleans series is well worth the credits and Jax is no exception. If you are a PNR fan who loves vampires, shifters, witches, steamy sex scenes, drama, angst and thrilling plots, then this is a series you'll want to add to your collection. I'm crossing my fingers there will be another story in the series coming soon.

loved this third book!

This is the third book in the Sugar House series. The main focus of the story is on the relationship between Caitrin and Donovan. They are in love and have been for years but for some reason they have a problem letting each other know. Cait is afraid it will ruin their relationship and she will have nothing when it ends - because her relationships always do, she thinks. Donovan wants her and needs to man up about it. Their friend Raef forces them to deal with each other. Thank God!

There is another on going story line from the last book, Protecting Portia. Portia was attacked by a customer of the Sugar House. Miss Niecy may be in trouble for what happened with this man but Portia finds a way to help.

I loved this book. My only problem is that they are over so quick!!

This is the world of The Sugar House, as its denizens learn and grow: giving us yet another peek at what makes people tick.

The Sugar House novellas return with the third installment that, among other storylines, focuses on Catrin and Donovan, giving us insight into these two very complex yet compelling characters. Part of the intrigue in this series comes specifically from the characters: the slow unravelling of their stories and their introduction to this world, and the growth of them as people that intrigue, delight, frustrate and reveal themselves in quite surprising ways.

Caitrin is a Dominatrix and is obsessed with control: her control to make people safe, keep them safe, even as they are experiencing acts and actions that are beyond the comfort zone of many. A long history of feeling abandoned and vulnerable have left Caitrin with a hard outer shell, hiding the tumult of emotion and insecurities from those early years deep within. In fact, when questioned and in the right frame to be brutally honest about herself, she shared.

Great way to fill in the series

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. It fills in the story from Meg's perspective.

What other book might you compare Winds of Time to and why?

That's hard because it's a Novella.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Meg and her family are reunited. It's the best scene in the entire series. I could listen to it hundreds of times.

I laughed and got choked up - so both.

This is the best series that I have ever read and I love listening to the books.

A sweet snack treat filling gap in After Cilmeri

This smaller episode in the After Cilmeri series is far shorter than the full length stories but it fills in the missing story of Meg's that fits into the timeline of Footsteps in Time.

I can hardly say anything about the story without it being a spoiler, but anyone who reads the descriptions of later books in this series could perhaps detect Meg's presence in those stories so yes - Meg has her own adventure to tell us about.

So many bits here come swooping back in another few more books. But this is Pure Meg / it's nice when the mom gets to tell her story again. Loved this mini vacation via my ears.

I purchased this book, myself, as a whispersynch for voice companion to the kindle edition of this book, and love the ability to alternate between and listen, even though this is s quick read.

Great short story.

I hope there is more. It is a very fascinating story. The narrator is very steady throughout her performance. To me, she lacks emotion.

fascinating

Definitely grabbed my interest to read the whole series! Written so it almost seems believable that something like this could happen. I found it easy to identify with the main characters even though they are very different. Fun read- looking forward to the next one.

Fills an important story gap, but narration is off

I've loved this series in both e-book and audio. This novella fills a story gap. While I have enjoyed Laurel Schroeder's narration of these stories, the pace and tone of this installment is inconsistent with the others, making it harder to listen to.

Another Great Story

The books just keep getting better and more interesting. The narration is phenomenal as u can distinguish each character even as they are brought into the storyline.

Poe is one of my favorite characters with his hilarious comments. He makes me laugh out loud.

There are so many ways these characters could go which means more books to come.

Amazing

The characters grow, the story evolves and I am already disappointed that I'm halfway through the series! I need more!

The plot thickens

Yes, I would recommend this audiobook to a friend. Book 2 in the Grateful Knight series is just as much of a page turner as Book 1. The plot thickens as Grateful and Rick's relationships gets more involved, while Grateful becomes more attuned to her magical powers. I couldn't put this book down. I love these characters.

Love, love, love this series!

I listened to book 1 a few weeks ago and came back for book 2. I'll be onto book 3 soon. Grateful is learning more about her powers and building a data bank she can carry with her on her phone for all the spells. I think that modern day touch is cute.

As she's settling into being a witch she finds she's being evicted from the house. The one she abhorred at first but now loves. It's the place she has to be to send souls away. The story quickly builds and the plot thickens. She and Rick have problems, leaving her alone.She adores him, is connected to him on a level that exceeds the physical realm but she can't commit.

This series is quick paced and witty. I adore Grateful. I'm not so crazy about Rick. I liked her ghost beau better but now in a human body her feelings for him have settled and they're good friends. She finds many reasons to call him, some that simply cracked me up.
