Members Reviews:
Boring and repetitive
I was expecting more about Sphenoid Curry early life instead the autor is very repetitive with numbers and and porcentajes.
Terrible - like reading his wiki
What disappointed you about Stephen Curry?
There was no real insight into who he was or how he got to where he is. It is a mind-numbing regurgitation of stats and game outcomes. Totally devoid of true storytelling.
What was most disappointing about Clayton Geoffreyss story?
The entire read. To be fair, I quit listening about 25% into it - I couldn't take it any longer.
Would you be willing to try another one of David L. Stanleys performances?
Nope.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Stephen Curry?
I would remove the narrator's reading of every statistic.
Phonebook is interesting reading compared to this.
What disappointed you about Stephen Curry?
Clayton Geoffreys should not write anything. It's numbing statistics only:
"...February 3rd 2007 he scored 29 points, including 7/13 behind the 3-point line to help them win their 20th game. Streak continues with Curry hitting 24 points, 7 out of 12 from the field and 6/6 from the foul line to help lead the Wildcats 87-57 win over Stanford on February 6th 2007. That was followed by another 22 points on 75-63 win out of Charleston on February 12th 2007..."
Only the exact minutes of everything is missing.
Has Stephen Curry put you off other books in this genre?
Yes, Roland Lazenby is almost as bad as this, and they all are really long books.
What didnt you like about David L. Stanleys performance?
It's like listening three hour news - or weather forecast.
You didnt love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?
It was cheap, but not cheap enough.
Any additional comments?
I keep this as a reminder: "Do not buy anything without reading reviews first."
