I absolutely LOVE this book, it has happiness, sadness, yummy sex scenes, twists and turns, I found myself pausing or fast forwarding to know what happened then going back and listening to what I missed. It made me angry and happy, I felt my blood pressure rising and I got to the point I told my entire family to leave me alone because I didn't want any interruptions. I will listen to the is book over and over again it is a must have!

Where do I begin..this is a love story that starts off as a cute meeting between an abandoned little boy and an orphan little girl. It's a story that is not your typical romance but a world full of life unexpected experience and throw backs! It's how to endure and forgive yourself and others..that not everything is what it seems.

I love the main characters and supporting characters they are well established and have such built up personality that's unique to each of them but come together to form a beautiful family, love, and friendship!

Abby was not my favorite Dare character. her reluctance and resistance was over the top. much of the story was forced feeling. I do like Rhett. and it ends well. plus the narrator is still in her game in this one..

I understand the need for some angst, but I just couldn't take it anymore. I felt like Abby had a stick up the butt and wasn't worth the effort of trying to get past her whining.

Would you listen to Control, Burn, Resist: Books 4-6 again? Why?

Engaging, seductive, utterly emotional and just addictive! This book / series is not for the faint of heat because of so much up & down between the characters, but it is such an amazing story filled with so much unapologetic emotion that you just can not not listen. Jo Raylan & Christian Fox are made to portray these characters and give life to the words of CD Reiss. I could not press stop!! It's beautiful, sexy and filled with surprises at every turn. An amazing ride!

If you love Ava and Gideon, Danika and Tristan, Anastasia and Christian then you will love this story. This book was written in a face paced style, right to the point and narrated perfectly. The female narrator was extraordinary and of course Christian Fox (male narrator) never disappoints. Can't wait for bundle 3.

This is a series and bundle 1 needs to be listened to first. Does not disappoint!

WHAT?!? STUNNED INTO SUBMISSION!

AAAARRRRGGGHHH!!! That's the sound of my anguish and dismay when this fantastic story ended with a freaking cliffhanger!! This book takes you on an erotic emotional ride, just like book1; but wow, the ending left me reeling with anticipation and a million questions about Jonathan, his sociopath daddy, their family's shenanigans, and what the $&@#! is really going on?!?

A story that leaves me wanting to conduct a massive Google search to find out when and if there's a 'next book' dropping, is definitely worthy of 5 stars! Get it, you will not be disappointed.

It just keeps getting better!

I absolutely love this story! The drama with the ex-wife, the passion between Jonathan and Monica, and then the background and side stories. This book is so, so, so, so good! I can't wait to start part 3!

Annoying listen

A frustrating read. Story was set up as strong characters yet some choices did not represent this. Found it annoying a lot of the time. Just wanted it to end. Jill in her decision making processes felt wrong for the strong character she was set up to portray. Her sister Meredith was too controlling and annoying. Ended up not liking the characters.

Honestly I don't think I've ever disliked anyone as much as Jill. She was awful.

The characters just were not engaging and it did not hold my attention very well.

Guy has been part of family. Out with heroine so often she wants him to be her first. But guy walks away to prove himself. Book gets better. But start just off.

I found this book extremely hard to listen to. The narration was very monotone . I felt like someone was reading a phone book or dictionary.

I am a Nora Roberts fan, but I struggled to make it through the entire book. The narrator was very, very flat. If you can get this book for 3.99 or less, I'd take it. Anything over that... don't waste your money!

Light enjoyment

This series was written in the late '80's and that was noticeable in the usual ways -- technology, phrases, etc. That didn't really detract from the book but maybe explains more about the lack of depth? or maybe sophistication? that I've seen in more recent NR's books. However, I found it and the first book to be enjoyable light romances around an offbeat theme.

Wonderful, romantic & even better this time!

I'd read the series several times over the years, so was pleasantly surprised to discover it on Audible. The stories were just as excellently written as I remembered enjoying previously but this time the excellent narration brought thr stories to life & even tears to my eyes a couple of times as, having discovered true love myself in real life, I thought about how I would feel if faced with the situations that Libby & Sunny faced and having a pretty good idea from knowing my own husband (the love of my life), how Cal & JT would have felt. I think these books were my first introduction into time travel stories years ago ~ a genre that I've fallen completely in love with! I can't recommend this series enough if you like love, romance & well written stories! Thank you Nora Roberts for excellent work!

Ok, so it is a bit hokie.

But first, I believed it was first published in 1998.

Being an incredible fan on her In Death series, I enjoyed the idea of future time.

All of the naysayers are entitled to their opinion. But where would Sci Fi be without Verne,Heinlein, Asimov. They all made us imagine, believe, hope for a better, infinitely more interesting future.

This one just happens to include romance.

Reading/listening to any story is to let your mind fly away, it's one of the best things we humans have available to us...books.

Most Intriguing Book

This novel by Nora Roberts is the best one I have read so far. One is so wanting to know what happens next, that it is hard to put the book down. A must read for everyone!

My second Nora book and I'm not disappointed.

Yes I enjoyed this story. THis was my second Nora book. It had everything I wanted. It had that old west historical romance thing i wanted. I wish these books were easier to find in audio. The heroine was naive but not stupid. The narrator Todd Haberkorn had Jack sounding like CLint Eastwood. It was kinda humerous.

I thought this was a good read.

Nora Roberts is a hit and miss for me. Most of her books are on the light side for my taste. This one kept my attention, and I give the credit to Mr. Todd Haberkorn, this is my first time listening to him and I will be looking for more books narrated by this man. The story was your regular western type romance.

A favorite series

Loved the whole series. Each has something the others lack, yet all are great in their own right. Susan Ericsson is excellent, in language, accents, timbre, with an understanding of the characters she portrays at any given moment.

Don't waste your money or credits

I struggled to finish this novel it was long and without much depth. The narrator's accent was unable to effect a consistent voice for Gabriella which was very distracting.

A word about the performer

As usual, I really liked this book by Nora Roberts. I especially like the books that have Scottish or Irish characters.

I have read reviews of this perfomer. Many of them were negative, but as I have listened to several books that she has done, I realize that she is an acquired taste. She especially does the Scottish burr veryeell. She also does books with humorous characters very well, such as "The MvGregor."

I have all 8 books in this series and A.D. reader was just devine in all of the books! If you need a lift and a smile, then this classic series will do the trick.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All 3 grooms are just as yummy as N.R. intended them to be. Wit, and romantic interference from the MacGregor keeps you listening with a wide grin on your face. This is one of my very favorites. The brides/granddaughters 2nd as both books have short stories that has the famous MacGregor scheming to get "his Anna to stop fretting" and have great grand babies.

Have you listened to any of Angela Dawes other performances before? How does this one compare?

I am a very big fan of Ms Dawe and have purchased so many listens just to hear her interpretation of an author and her very sexy males voices. She has out done herself in this story. Catch her on the Tiffany Snow, Kathleen Turner series. Sexy as all get out.
