#1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nora Roberts enchants again with this beloved classic about the passionate and headstrong MacGregor family.
Attorney Caine MacGregor had a reputation for being a demon in and out of the courtroom. The dashing young attorney rarely met a case - or a woman - he couldn't win. But Diana Blade was no ordinary lady. Caine yearned to break down her icy wall of control and release the passionate woman within. He might be able to convince Diana to form a business partnership, but could he entice her to risk everything for the love of a MacGregor?

    Did not hold my interest
The narration was poor. The male voices was not done well. I will not read the other sequel if done by same narrator.
    Annoyed and Distracted
I enjoyed the book but kept feeling distracted by the narrator having a lisp!
I understand that it is a speech impediment but it was heard in EVERY character and it annoyed me throughout the whole book..
    Another Good Read
This was a good romance, light, and easy to read. The Macgregors are always interesting. Not too crazy about the lady who read the book. She was easy to understand but there is a certain cadence to her voice that sounds somewhat arrogant.Could be the section of the country she is from and the "accent". It didn't keep me from listening to the book.
MacGregors 2, world of women 0
Well, a background-noise sort of book this is. You can listen to it while doing other things and not really miss anything. I like Nora Roberts best in stand-alone books, I realize that now. With an introduction to some of the characters, the background set-up in a previous book, this book was too predictable for me.
It did serve the purpose of having something to listen to that was easy romance and did not include zombies or slashers or intrigue, if that helps.
    Fate
Great book, romantic, funny, dramatic. Everything you would like in a book. Excellent performance in the reading.

    the book was better
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
no it was not time well spent....the narrator was so bad i would start thinking of other things
What didnt you like about Nika Solvieros performance?
she made some of the characters sound like they were mentally slow. you could hear her taking a breath after a long sentence.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
    yes
    Any additional comments?
i love the book, that is why i bought the audible. i am sorry i bought the audible.
    the constant swallowing is terrible!
Would you listen to The Marine's E-Mail Order Bride again? Why?
I can't even listen through the first hour...the narrator keeps swallowing so loud it is irritating. May be petty but I'm wearing headphones and it is right in my ear. I can't concentrate or listen to the story completely because of it.
How could the performance have been better?
turn of the recorder when you are swallowing so loudly!
    Another Chance Creek hit.
Exciting from start to finish, well done. Can't wait to start book 4 right away.
Not the best story in the series
I'm relistening to this series while I await my new credits. This story is unbelievable but once you are two books in and you like the Hall brothers, what is one to do but soldier on.
I was not a fan of the narrator. Being a one woman show, she did come up with different voices for each character but some of the voices were just ...dumb. And occasionally I thought she sounded like she was wearing a retainer while speaking.
    Audio issues
Reagan is pronounces Ray-gen not Ree-gin
And Reagan isn't a vegetarian Ella is. I know I'm not picking but I really like these stories and the characters. When reading they almost become real people. But chancing the name the 3ed book in because the pronunciation is wrong bugs me and little typos like the vegetarian thing bug me.

Book 2, Just as great as book 1!
This was a second listen for me and it was better the second time around. Clay & Julia are off the charts HOT!!! I love that they are so honest with each other and when they aren't it's just to protect the other one. Clay is sweet and honest & his dominant side is SO hot! Julia is a bad ass who can take care of herself and she knows exactly what she wants. Their story is beautiful. Considering this is narrated by only 1 guy, he does an awesome job on both Clay & Julia!
    Highly Recommended!
    Loved it
This was really well done and a little different than Lauren Blakely's other books. Interesting storyline and good romance. Narration was great- dare I say better than Sebastian York??
    HOT!!!
Could this book be any hotter? The answer is no! I could not stop listening to this book. After This Night continues with Clay and Julia's story. The heat in this book will set you on fire! Clay is a good man among boys! This quote says it all. "Every woman should be jealous of you because of how I feel for you. Because no man has ever wanted a woman like I want you. No man has ever craved a woman as deeply as I crave you. And no man has ever fallen this hard and this fast for a woman." Swoon worthy!! Can Julia get over her fear and trust issues with men and open up to Clay? You must read this amazing book to find out!
    Not bad
This series is ok -- not my favorite but worth the credit.

One night. That's all it was supposed to be...
Reeling from the sudden loss of her sister, Haddie Montgomery has sworn off relationships. All she wanted from Beckett Daniels was a sexy distraction to help her escape her pain for just a little while. There weren't supposed to be any strings attached - so why can't she shake the memory of that unforgettable night from her thoughts? Or the taste of his kiss from her lips?
No matter how hard Haddie tries to forget about him, Becks relentlessly tries to prove that she should start living for today. But she is determined to avoid romantic commitment, and she can always use her ex-boyfriend's reappearance to help snuff out the slow burn within her that Becks has sparked.
Or will fate force her to realize that this kind of connection doesnt come along very often and a chance at love is worth the risk?
    Members Reviews:
    Engrossing yet frustrating
The story managed to capture my attention span which quite a few books failed to do lately. The focus was the evil disease of cancer. Haddie was so taken over by first the devastation it left on her family and the effects it left on family and friends as with what happened to her brother-in-law. Then her battle to face it. As a result I found very very few things to like about her. Yes. I understand her situation, but the lies on top of lies in an effort to separate herself from others and in particular from Beck got to me. I got the impression all she cared about was escape into sex and it did not matter with whom either) . To me, Beck was too good for her. She came off as a selfish bitch. I did not feel the love between them. It was just sexual chemistry.
    Beautiful & Emoitional
Would you consider the audio edition of Slow Burn to be better than the print version?
Yes, I am so glad I have the audio edition. The emotion in Haddie's voice just tour at your heart. I have never cried so much over one book before.
What other book might you compare Slow Burn to and why?
From the books I have read this book stands out and addresses an issue that should be out and all of the sorrow, pain, and love makes this book powerful
What does Kelly Ashton and Abel Cantwell bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Kelly & Abel bring the emotion to the surface, I probably would never have finished the book because it is really hard to read through tears.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Time is precious, waste it wisely
    Any additional comments?
I loved the Driven series and I am so glad we got a look at Becks and Haddie love the all.
Thank you for your talant and writing a beautiful and emotional story.
    Exciting Roller Coaster Ride
Loved the Driven series and I'm not a race car fan. I wasn't sure about this one, but so glad I bought it. Great story line. Two great deserving people with so much to give. And Wow Beckett was the best guy ever. Love a man who knows what he wants and goes after it. Oh and sticks around when the going gets tough. I think this had some of the sweetest lines and scenes ever. The audio was wonderful too. Way to go K. Bromberg!!
You do not have to have read the Driven series to read this book.

I love your bones Miller Hart !
Ok gonna keep this short and sweet. Jodi has a way of writing a complete story. From beginning to end she makes you fall in love with these characters. Just like the "this man " series she finds a way to take the reader on a unexpected journey. A journey into worlds we all no nothing about. I hope she continues to take us on additional voyages to the unknown with the same quality of love and suspense we have come to depend on. Extremely happy I started this series. Fantastic narrator hands down one of the best!
THE PERFECT GRIPPING ENDING THAT HAD IT ALL
Well I've just finished this intense and stunning listen and I'm in awe of Ms Malpas because this final part of her beautiful and breathtaking love story was every bit as intense, riveting, sensual and emotional as her previous books. Jaw-dropping shocks and surprises, heartbreaking revelations, torture filled twists, a pulse-pounding romance, lots of hot passion-filled sex, nail biting drama and tender words of love are all experienced as Miller and Olivia desperately struggle to hold on tightly to each other as their epic love story concludes in this dramatic finale.
Worth a credit? It's been one hell of an emotional ride.... I've laughed, cried, screamed, sighed, drooled and melted, the romance took my breath away, the drama broke my heart and the sweet Epilogue finally gave me an insight into Miller's mind. Thank you Ms. Malpas you are a gifted Author, you're an auto download for me and I can't wait to see what you're going to wow me with next. Great narration and absolutely worth a credit or buy.
    A BLISSFUL ENDING-GREAT EPILOGUE!
This is Jodi Ellen Malpas's second series and it was good. Most notably, the second half was the best part of the book. It's when the real developments and action start setting everything into motion. Miller and Livy go through a very tough journey, but they never give up on their love and that was so special. I really enjoyed the great intimacies of Miller's "worshipping" of Livy and pulling her into "his thing." Miller's little hallmark sayings were endearing."I concur" and "elaborate." It was so cute how Livy borrowed the sayings, periodically, when interacting with Miller. I did have a problem with Livy's "sass." Her so-called "sass," especially in the first part of the book was not fun, flirty banter, but outright disrespect toward Miller. OMG, in the first part of the book Livy was driving me freaken nuts!!! She came across as childish, spoiled and rude to Miller. I think it was Livy's immature thinking and reactions that overwhelmed the first part of the book making it boring and slow. It just seemed like filler material. However, the second part of the book made up for it.and it was all because of Miller!!! Oh, I really felt for Miller. I could not believe the challenges he was facing, and while Livy tackled their issues with the wit and force of a rhinoceros, Miller was steady, patient, and even-paced.

Never let the author be the narrator!
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Never let the author be the narrator! OMG - I like Lauren Rowe as a writer - but OMG - she is like a 12 year old trying to over act! Her voice and reactions are awful!!!! If it wasn't for the male narrator - I would have returned this as fast as possible.!
Would you recommend The Redemption to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes and No - I can't even tell you how awful the female narration is!!! HORRID!!!! The male narrator - John saved this book!
Would you be willing to try another one of Lauren Rowe and John Lane s performances?
John Lane - absolutely!!! Loved him as a narrator. Lauren - ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! She is a good writer but whomever told her she should be the narrator as well - should be fired!
What would have made this romance irresistible?
Anyone besides Lauren Rowe being the narrator! She completely ruins this whole trilogy!
    Book 3, Finally Done.
This serious has a good premise but is, in my opinion poorly written. Too much repetition. The audio performance makes the storyline seem juvenile. Even jokingly, partners should NEVER call each dummy.
    Great Trilogy!!!
I truly enjoyed this story! What a pleasant surprise with this new author! Such a emotional ride that I would take again and again!! The last book was the Best!
    Fantastic & Explosive!!!
Here we are in book three of "The Club Trilogy". This book picks right up where book two left off. Sarah was attacked in the bathroom and Jonas is remembering back to when the same thing happened to his mother.
Sarah is taken to the hospital. Jonas is waiting in the waiting room for some kind of word as to how Sarah is. Sarah was so pale. There was so much blood. This is deja vu for poor Jonas. Even some of Sarah's classmates come to wait there. Finally a doctor comes out to say Sarah will be fine and can go home the next day. From this point on, Jonas won't let Sarah out of his site again. Later Sarah tells Jonas, it was his check that saved her.
Sarah and Jonas decide they are going to royally screw up the people who tried to kill her. Jonas has Josh call his hacker to gain some info and Sarah calls Cat to come over too. The FBI, CIA, even the government gets involved (off the record of course). You won't believe all the twists and turns that come with this story!
This book is very well written. The author, Lauren Rowe did a freaking fantastic job on this entire series! The plot is fantastic. There is the thrill of danger, suspense, romance, mystery sex and holy hotness all wrapped up in this book! The narrators, John Lane and Lauren Rowe were superb delivering this story.

Some men are just better when they're bold.
    Welcome to the Point...
In a dark and broken kingdom, a ruler has to be fearless to control the streets and the ruthless people who run them.
Race Hartman is just bold enough, just smart enough, and just lost enough to wear the crown. Places like the Point will always have bad things and bad people, but the man in control of all that badness can minimize the devastation. Race has a plan, but can he prevent total annihilation without destroying himself? Brysen Carter has always seen her best friend's brother for what he is too pretty, too smooth, and way too dangerous to touch. Basking in Race's golden glow is very tempting, but Brysen knows she'd eventually get burned.
When she starts receiving threatening texts and someone tries to take her out in the parking lot, the only person interested in keeping her safe is the one man she can't allow herself to have.
Sometimes being bold is the only way to stay alive. But can she let Race save her life... if it means losing herself to him?
    Members Reviews:
    Riveting series!
Jay Crownover is one of my favorite authors and it's because of her gift in describing the weight of decisions people make and the reasons they make them. In this 2nd installment, we learn about Race Hartman and Bryson Carter's romance. Race is interesting because he's the guy with the golden looks, intelligence and strong survival skills. I mean this guy can get himself out of any precarious situation with his quick wit, ability to reason & develop solutions on the spot, all while taming the flames of the danger around him. Bryson is a responsible big sister who is a college student, and she's actually Dovie's best friend. I liked that Bryson was responsible, stylish and sassy. More than anything, I liked how she was a hard worker, and that she also had a survival instinct that made her pairing with Race so understandable.
What I liked most about this novel was the constant flow of action. I mean the stark contrast between the two ways of living in both The Point and The Hill was so interesting! Crownover almost describes The Point, as a living, mythical creature that is out to destroy the will and life of it's inhabitants, and everyone deals with the challenges of living in "the Point" differently. Race seems to almost want to outsmart and balance the rough energy that is this beast called "The Point." That was a unique trait to possess, and I really liked Race for that, because it made him an optimist, in my view. The love scenes were okay, but nothing too overly tender or heart-warming. Both Race and Bryson did have good chemistry, but overall the focus is on surviving the many hurdles that came their way.
Regarding all of the surrounding characters, I loved getting a bit of some DOVIE/JAX time in! I love Dovie and Jax together and I was happy to see that they were continuing to do well together. However, I was seriously disturbed with the female lead for the 3rd installment. She is a skank and a bitch, mainly because she's responsible for the scar on Dovie's chest since she betrayed her in the previous book. Also, I freaken love Titus, and I hate the idea of him being paired with his brother's ex-lover.

    From Excellence to Eek!
Audio books are a passion for me. The reader makes it happen. John Lane does an excellent job--I do mean excellent at channeling Jonas' personality. He delivers a LOL (people looking at you weirdly in the store) performance. Lauren Rowe has written him well. The first story offers deep thoughtful insights into both characters. I fell in love with them both. I could not get enough of Jonas!
Didi I mention that audio books are a passion for me. The reader makes it happen. Ms. Rowe's narration is a let down. I can hear the annoying wet sounds of her lips opening to speak. I even hear the swallowing. Eek eek eek!!!! Even though I wanted to hear Sarah, I cringed when she spoke. Ms. Rowe sounds old too! (Rowe is also the reason for the review of narration.)
This second book doesn't add any depth to these characters. Ms. Rowe would have been better off with the second brother's story. Jonas and Sarah have gone from a couple that I am crazy in love with to cardboard cut outs. The second book was only six hours as well. Come on! Coming off of HOT book one and being willing to listen to Rowe a second time---shows how much I liked these characters. I need constant growth to keep me interested. The characters have found love and I just have to end this here. Thanks for the wonderful ride Ms. Rowe, but I just have to get off at this stop.
My eyes hurt from rolling them so much...
Would you ever listen to anything by Lauren Rowe again?
If they are like book 1 in this series, yes. If they're like this book, no way. Sorry.
What does Lauren Rowe and John Lane bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
John Lane is awesome. That's all I'll say.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Gave me a tooth ache... Why did Jonah have to grow a vagina? Smh...
This is my last audio book narrator by the author
She a horrible narrator on this beautiful story love Jonas but her she's like a child very annoying ,right stories
    Great Story... Horrid Female Narration....
If you could sum up The Reclamation in three words, what would they be?
Loved the story but was ruined by the female narration.
What did you like best about this story?
Great story and writing but the female narrator - who happens to be the author - makes the female lead sound like a giddy 12 year old. If it wouldn't have been for the male narration I would have given this book 2 stars. The female narration totally ruins this story.
Would you be willing to try another one of Lauren Rowe and John Lane s performances?
Yes - for the male and absolutely not for the female!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I loved the male narration and he totally made me laugh repeatedly. Great job on his part. However, female narration made me want to scream - it was like listen to non-stop nails on a chalk board.
    Book 2, same opinion.
This serious has a good premise but is, in my opinion poorly written. Too much repetition.
