Love this series

I love the Fallen Crest series. Another amazing read by Tijan. I am glad I waited on this one though until the next book was already out, because you should be warned, it kinda ends in a cliffhanger.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I have to say, Mason. He is a troubled guy with a past but man does he try to right by Sam.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

So a lot of the story line hasn't changed from the first book to this one. Mason, Logan, and Sam still seem to have the same issues they always do. It is just one big fight after another. You can see what the end is building up to and that is a bummer. Having said all that I still enjoyed the book and I can't wait for the next one. I hope all ends up well for this fearsome threesome.

4.5 Swoon-worthy Stars

I love everything Tijan and Fallen Crest, so I was excited to see what was happening with Mason, Samantha and Logan. As usual there is a LOT of drama following them round, Samantha always seems to get herself front and centre by NOT thinking about the consequences of her actions, and as usual Mason (my hero) is always there to save her. Mason is completely swoon-worthy in this book, so much so that I think I fell a little more in love with him. He's matured, he's become more sensible and he's thinking about his future. Sam as ever is predictable, and Logan, well Logan is his usual hilarious self, always adding the element of fun. I swear he could be a stand up comedian, he is so funny. As they battle yet another enemy in this story that has so many twists and turns it had my head spinning, and the ending! Do not get me started on that, I have no idea where the final book is going to take me, but I'm sure looking forward to the journey. Fallen Crest Forever here I come. As usual, the narration was perfect.

OMG - Tears!

I don't cry - seriously ! I don't! Haven't in years - until last night...

It is a rare story that can capture me so thoroughly - and this series did exactly that. I've been flipping between the ebook at my desk at work and the audiobook everywhere else, because I couldn't stand being away from the world so beautifully crafted and the people I'd come to care about, worry about, and so love to hate!

I'm not going to give up any spoilers - others have done that already - and even having read other reviews I was not prepared for the impact of what happened. I knew something big was coming - it was inevitable. Becoming vested in Needle and Kite, Nila and Jet, and their growth through the 6 books in this series - their fight and growth and evolution - their love and light - their F****d up family and circumstances - their fight and ultimate triumph over it all was emotionally draining and utterly fulfilling.

Sometimes Love Does Conquer All.

Sometimes one of the Good Guys doesn't make it to the end.

Sometimes there is Redemption!

Sometimes the Wrong Thing done for the Right Reason is Good.

Thankfully, short the epilogue, this series is intact in audio already. The cliffhangers at the end of each book would make it unbearable to wait for the next book to come out on Audio!

I've already purchased the audiobooks for two other series - they're next up. I'll be redoing this series on Audio (maybe when the Epilogue is released) and have put Ms Winters on my "must get" list for anything else she comes out with!

If you're not totally repulsed by the darkness and graphic details of medieval and psychological torture, leaving your heart shuddering and cold, then know that you will be lightened and warmed by the hard won victory and healing at the end, making it all worth it!!!

What a great finale!

At some moments, I cringed, others, I cried. This a must read series. Thanks for hours and hours of suspense and intrigue.

There are not enough descriptive words in the English language to describe this book. As a fan of dark romance, I constantly found myself in awe amidst a looming fear and a blooming hope. The Indebted Series was a read and ride of a lifetime and one of the best series I have ever encountered. Page after page, Pepper Winters continued to suck me in deeper with every new chapter and new facet!!! What an all consuming series and a journey I am sad to see end. 5+++++ stars!!!

Pepper Winters delivers an epic ending to this series. My heart was opened up and exposed at what Nila and Jethro had to face to finally end the debt inheritance. I felt guilty joy, justice redeemed, and wiped tears from my face. Will M Watt and Kylie C Stewart will forever be imbedded in my mind as Nila and Jethro.

Indebted...

This series was by far one of my favorites! It had some twist and turns.

Just great

A great end to a series. Poppy is stringer then she thinks and deserves all the happiness and orgasms she can get . Wheeler where can I find one of him for myself always had a thing for Gingers. he's sweet and great fit for Poppy.

I have to say that I don't really agree with the 5 stars on Amazon. It is not terrible but it is not 5 star material IMO but others may feel differently. Jay used to use more angst in her books but all the angst from this is from their past before the book started. To me everything is just too overly sweet in this. The H falls for the h immediately. Even the ex who treated him in the past badly (before the book starts) is overly sweet in this book. She gets along with the H and now the h. They become like besties. I mean why not have her be a raging witch that fights them all along to give something interesting to the storyline?

Yes I do like the H and h and they have a sweetness to them but is that really all readers want? Do we really just want this sweet almost instant love that lasts from beginning to end with no real angst - no fighting, no breakups - nothing?

Yes the H is worried the h will go off the deep end if he pushes too hard but she never does and all is pretty much smooth sailing.

I loved a few of Jay Crownover's books (like Rule, Asa, and Nash) but none as of late. They have just been too uninteresting lately IMO. I was somewhat bored through most of this book even though I did like the two main characters.

Not only a perfect read but a perfect listen

Ashlyn and her man Dillon have won my heart. This book is EVERYTHING. It's love, it's hate, it's family, it's sweet, it's funny, but most of all it is The BOOM that we all know and love.

Ashlyn's new boss and arch nemesis Dillon are going to a dentist convention. Only things don't go as Ashlyn plans. Dillon takes over her every step. She wakes up and Dillon is calling her his wife.

"Instead, I took her directly to the nearest wedding chapel, where I bought us each a ring from a cheap plastic display case, and then stood in front of a guy who looked a lot like the Hulk."

From that point on Ashlyn is learning how to deal with Dillon. Yet again Dillon will not be ignored and wants things done his way. Which causes to ensue hilarity and a few bumps, scrapes, and minor bruises.

"I know I took advantage of her, but I regret nothing. I wanted her to admit there was something between us, and I got my way in the end."

They go on an incredible journey to get to their good. I love their relationship and the real emotions that this story pulls from you. Aurora always keeps you on your toes and just when you think things can't get better she hands you more gold.

5 Alpha Stars!

ARR does not disappoint! This book has everything I love about her books. An alpha who knows and takes what he wants and a heroine who I would love to be friends with. It has funny and steamy moments along with panty melting scenes. I do wish the ending would have been expanded on a bit more but even with that this is a 5 star book! This is a dual POV book that has a duet narration. I loved Zachary Michaels narration but I have to admit that I did miss the narration of the female from the previous books.

Aurora's other books I have enjoyed. I loved the stories and even though I thought the narration was a little strange it doesn't change my opinion of the book.

What aspect of Thurlow Holmes and Zachary Michael s performance would you have changed?

Some of the narration was cheesy. I thought it was a little strange that instead of saying the lyrics to a song it was sung, but that's just me. I've always thought it was weird when narrators switch to different narrators during a conversation.

Annoying and Unconvincing

I wanted to like this story however the female character was incredibly immature, petty, and annoying. So much so that I had a hard time believing that her love interest thought her worth all that trouble. The book is so short that it fails to bother with any redemption and goes straight from so called hate to so called love.

Funny + passion = perfection

I needed a book that was gonna make me laugh, and this one was recommended to me. This story between childhood neighbors who became rivals is witty, funny, passionate, and sweet all in a couple hundred pages. I loved every line, from start to finish.

I loved these two narrators. Perfect for these characters.

I had such high hopes for this one.

What did you like best about Anything You Can Do? What did you like least?

I just didn't love this one as much I thought I would. It promised a romantic comedy but there were no situations I laughed at. I think what I disconnected the most about this one was that they were enemies/rivals to lovers but the rivalry was really just some silly jealousy that a little girl made up when they were kids and just seemed so petty to keep onto. He literally did nothing for her to hate him. It made me hard to connect to her as a character because she just seemed petty. He wasn't much different. I wasn't amazed by him that much. Nothing about him made me jump for joy. I think my issue with this one is that the job they're in competition for isn't exciting. I was just bored that they both wanted to take a job in their small town. A huge miss for me.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Perhaps if they worked for a hospital instead? Or different careers. The whole doctor thing was kind of corny.

Definitely, this book was not only well written but also extremely well performed. It really came to life with the performances and Kimberly Roelle and the few chapters done by Joshua Kumler.

Oh Jimmy you`re so fine.

Big fan of Nicole Rendell`s books so I was very excited to listen to her first audiobook.

Jillian Macie portrayed Mary perfectly for me, Sean has one of the loveliest, deepest and sexy voice`s I have heard in a while. If you want a love story with lots of deep and passionate moments, and lets not forget smoking hot sex scenes look no further.

Baller vs. Butterball (you'll see lol)

Listened to this one on Audible and really enjoyed the performances given by Sean Crisden and Jillian Macie. I laughed out loud so many times. The story was interesting sprinkled with a little emotional angst and a twist. Not to mention the down and dirty delivered by a sexy, sweet, Quarterback. Very light read/listen. Perfect companion for a rainy day doing chores. Made me feel like I had friends keeping me company. The kind of friends that always put a smile on your face and make you feel like you're getting away with something whenever you hang together. If you're looking to be entertained, this should hit the spot perfectly. I believe it's my favorite Sean Crisden narration to date!! Plain simple fun!!

This book was so good! Had some very funny, laugh out loud parts and was just so good. I never wanted to stop listening. The narrators were perfect as well! Definitely looking for other books from this author.

Adorable story

This whole storyline and plot were absolutely adorable. The narration was great, my only complaint is that the author spent 55 chapters making the reader fall in love with this couple only to rush the ending... The whole audible is over 10 hours long but the end of the book is 4 minutes. it was very irritating watching Mary and Jimmy fall in love but not really get to see they're ending. Yes they do get married in the last chapter but the author doesn't elaborate more than a quickie wedding ceremony and that she tells him She's pregnant.

Ok... I found myself rolling my eyes at times because some of it was just to cheesy or unreal. They fell in love so fast and the sex scenes were so quick if you are not paying attention you will miss it. Audible needs to allow us to rate each narrator separately. I love the male narrator and was annoyed with the female at times. It just a ok listen so if you have an extra credit laying around use it.

Even free it wasnt good.

This story started out interesting but clearly has its issues early on. Being free because Im in the romance package, I figured I had nothing to lose. WRONG! The story was a bit weird at best, but Veronica Worthingtons narration was HORRIBLE! No differentiation between male and female voices and she sounded like she came from the 1950s. I always wonder, dont authors actually LISTEN to the performance of their books? Sometimes I think Not. Had I known, I would have skipped this one.

Great story!

This story kept me interested the entire way through. A lot of relationships start and end this way in the modern world. Loved it! Hard at times to tell the men apart, but not that big of a deal breaker for the story.

This was such a poignant story. I don't often listen to this type of story, so it's hard to quantify.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I can't tell you why my favorite character got the designation without giving away a lot of the story. Suffice it to say, they were a secondary character who played a pivotal role in Cora's life.

Which scene was your favorite?

The epilogue. I cried so hard, and felt so good, it's hard to explain!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I tried! I really did! I kept getting distracted! I finished it at 10 pm, the day after release day.

Any additional comments?

If you've ever felt a kinship with adoptive kids, or ever wanted to find your birth parents, you should read this book. I was the biological child of both of my parents, yet this book still totally slayed me! I loved the story, loved the voice-actress (who is easily a top ten in my world), and loved all of the back story Novak provided on her website.

AN ADDICTIVE & COMPELLING CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE

Magnolia's business degree didn't quite cover all that her new boss Vance wanted her to do.. because the drool-worthy charismatic Playboy Billionaire businessman/Artist had a long list of things he expected from his new PA.. and her first job of the day was to get rid of his random nightly hookups. And, over the course of a couple of years, Magnolia did her job well, Vance and her became good friends, she resisted Vance's very 'abundant' charms and continued to date her loser/user boyfriend. Vance drank to drown the bloody memories created by his parent's brutal murders when he was only eight, and then his Aunt and Uncle's equally brutal murders shortly after. Vance's drinking eventually became an addiction and when one of his hookups nearly died of an overdose suddenly things weren't ok anymore.

Vance went to rehab and came back a changed man.. exercise had replaced the drink - however what was still there was his attraction to the off-limits Magnolia.. but then she became single again and Vance watched and waited for his chance. But before he could make his move Fate came a knocking at his door with a three month old daughter Vance never knew he had (no spoilers as it was in the summary) and seduction was lost to diapers, bottles, whispers and his tiny daughter's well-being. They'd become best friends and Magnolia quickly stepped in so together they learned how to be parents - however Vance still desperately wanted Magnolia and eventually he took his chance and their easy chemistry ignited. But a few words from the wrong people had Magnolia doubting, disillusioned and distraught because, after confronting Vance about his/her feelings, there was only one option left.

A very enjoyable well-paced storyline with a slow to develop romance.
