Excellent book!!!!

WOW!!!! Excellent book!!! I really was wanting to learn excel from long. I just new the very basic of excel. I grabbed this book so that i could understand it more well by practicing it.This book gave me a good review on excel and taught me a few new tips too that will definitely make my work a little smoother as my work revolves around using Microsoft Word and Excel and PowerPoint presentations.I highly recommend this book to anyone who want to master their skills in Microsoft Excel.

Great for Beginners

This author did a very good job of giving the details about Excel. It can be a very confusing program and the author walks the reader through all the basics to help alleviate the confusion. I would suggest this book to anyone who is trying to learn Excel - it would be good to read it before you begin working with the complicated program and then read it again after you have started. The author discusses all the basic operations of Excel and describes how to perform the most basic of tasks inside the program. A great resource for the beginning user.

More Useful Than the Manual

I was specifically looking for a resource that would give me a no fluff overview of Excel's features and basic functionality without becoming mired in technical asides and alternative approaches meant to appeal to every single use case. This was that resource, and I appreciate it greatly! I wish there was a little more coverage of some of the more advanced formulas, but that's an incredibly minor criticism in light of how little I knew about this software going in. Definitely recommended.

Would you consider the audio edition of Manage Your Productivity: 4 Manuscripts to be better than the print version?

Perfect timing for me to listen this book. I often struggle with keeping up on my goals and seem to fall of the wagon of productivity and organization from time to time. Chris A. Baird's perspective really helped me better understand what's going on in me and how to change it. This is a brief focused listen with a fun narrative style.

This book is awesome. Im a business owner and this book is what I use to help me navigate through all my discussions with my financial team. Found several things that we werent doing that will make a big difference to our bottom line.

What made the experience of listening to Manage Your Productivity: 4 Manuscripts the most enjoyable?

Surprising content in this one.Chris A. Baird made a nice guide to reminding the reader on how to organize their day better. I viewed this as a reminding guide of the habits I need to be integrating to my everyday life. No habits are explained in great detail, but they don't have to, so no unnecessary fat in any of this book. My favorite habit was the first one: Set Monthly, Weekly, and Daily Milestone Goals. Establishing milestones made this audiable book instantly worth the money I paid for it. One part of it is creating specific goals; your goals must be crystal clear and measurable. This, coupled with understanding why you are pursuing these goals, creates the effect of 'pull motivation,' where you naturally want to work for your goals and expending little to no willpower. Using this habit, I've already felt noti cable effects in just how I carry myself because I am accomplishing what I want in life everyday.

A Frank, No-Frills Guide

Shillingtonâs book is a straightforward, no-nonsense guide to online course design. If youâre expecting first-person tales from the e-learning trenches or meandering case studies, you wonât find them in this book. Similarly, if you're looking for a re-purposed academic dissertation, you won't find it here. This volume is for the course designer unafraid of getting his or her hair mussed, so bring your lunchbox. It's practical, helpful material presented at sea level, not 30,000 feet like many books dealing with e-learning. That said, I would like to have seen a chapter dedicated to Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), a peripheral collaboration framework that operates in tandem with online learning. Maybe in a future edition. All in all, Shillington has delivered. It's a solid beacon for anyone, especially a beginner, grappling with the challenges of online course design.

Jam-packed with valuable instructions and resources

Two thumbs up for this guide. I've been struggling to find a book that could help me to put together an on-line video course that would be easy to understand and informative to offer the guidance I needed to structure a meaningful training course. Most of them out there are too wordy or contain a lot of fluff. This exceeded my expectations and "over-delivered" in many ways. The author writes instructional materials as an occupation and has a knack for explaining things in a concise and effective manner. She offers great advice,guidance and resources that are very usable. If you're thinking about doing an on-line course, do yourself a favor and get this book. It inspired me to start on mine after I read it because I felt more prepared. I recommend it highly.

A godsend for the autodidact

As an autodidact who is somewhat addicted to learning, Laurie's blog and book are a godsend. Instead of spending $20,000-$100,000 or more getting an MBA (which is a credential I don't really need for my career), I now have a clear path forward to obtaining the business knowledge I've been seeking.
