Leigh has to face the one guy in town that should hate her, Croy Dawson

If you're looking for a lighthearted, angst free, entertaining read - look no further. This one is very well written and I adored these characters. When Leigh Holloway returns home for the holidays, she keeps the fact that she has broken up with her fiance and quit her job to herself. She doesn't want to add stress to her parents shoulders right now. When the pressures of being back home get to be too much and there's no liquor in the house, Leigh has to face the one guy in town that should hate her, Croy Dawson. Luckily Croy is willing to leave the past in the past and the two quickly reunite. Only now being just friends isn't what either one wants. What starts as a secret fling soon becomes a whole lot more and maybe not as secret as they thought.

I would definitely recommend this one for a fun relaxing read.

For real, Shannon Stacey is worth your time!

This was a fun, short holiday read. I even found myself agreeing with Leigh's reasons for keeping her secret, although at first I thought she was nuts. But then so did every other character who knew, so I wasn't alone.

And I really love Croy. He's so sweet! And yummy and such a guy at times. Ha ha!

I think that's what I love best about Shannon's books. Her characters feel like real people with real lives and real issues. But they get their happily ever after and the dream relationship.

Pretty good for a novella

This is a holiday novella and love story of Leigh and Croy. Once close friends, their group of 3 once included Croy's girlfriend/Leigh's best friend Aubrey. The relationship between Aubrey and Croy crashed and burned during the college years.

charmingly cathartic

Contemporary romance between two forty-something authors. Not a sappy love story but has a happy ending. Deals with the two main character's bumpy pasts; a divorce and learning to love/ self respect for one, and the abandonment issues from a missing father post divorce for the other. They take a road trip together. Their "second first chance." Deals with pain and love, grief and trust. I found it entertaining, understandable, and cathartic in a very rewarding sense.

More Thorn please!

After the truth of Faren's current career choice comes out Faren must pick up the pieces and try to fit them back together. With a foul-proof plan to win Mick back, Faren only has one more lie, one more betrayal until she's paid off her mother's care. However, Faren learns that Jay isn't going to let her go so easily... As the tension rises will Faren come out on top or sink into despair?

The Token 4 picks up after the massive cliffhanger in the previous installment. Her life is currently in shambles but she hasn't given up hope on fixing it. Determined to win Mick back she only has one more devious commitment to attend to and she's home free. Despite a positive outlook Faren becomes a magnet for danger and trickery. There are many enemies in her midst and we begin to see different facets of the secondary characters.

I have to say... I am still very satisfied with this series... there hasn't been a "dud" or one story that isn't as exciting as the others. Each installment in this serial is fast-paced, interesting, and has a few twists and turns which I never expect. I'm enjoying seeing the secondary characters "come alive" from the pages and start to play a central role in Faren and Mick's story. Thorn...he has a soft side...*wistful sigh*

Although I love reading from her viewpoint, I don't adore Faren as much as I did before. She has a SEVERE case of tunnel vision where Mick has eclipsed her mind and every thought... and I have to admit I'd like a little more of Faren-the-bad-girl to come back. For once, I'd like to see her do something naughty and not cry or puke about it.

Overall another 5 star addition to The Token!

Good Read

Now that Mick has found her dancing and to him seems like a lot more even though it wasn't, I felt for Mick because he just wanted her to be honest and let him help her. But Faren is still scared but she is strong enough to try and do it on her on because she knows what her mom went through. She wants to just get her mother's bill paid in full without anyone's help. She is driving me crazy because Jay is only interested in money and she needs lots of it, but the dancing in those places is way to dangerous. Now she has her twisted stepfather and a weird cop out to nail Mick for whatever he can make up or set him up for. Faren wants to give up but her bff wont let her and convinces her to go after Mick if she really loves him.

She Never Disappoints!

Jean Brashear once again gives us a heartwarming romance with endearing charactersshe never disappoints! This second book in the Lone Star Lovers series introduces us to Rafe and Diana. The author brings together two healers from different worlds. Diana has come to the mountains to heal from an injury that could affect her career where she meets Rafe who is also dealing with a life changing injury. Their love story is emotional and heartwarming. I loved their story and can highly recommend it. Thank you again Jean Brashear for your amazing stories and also to Eric Dove for his remarkable narration.

A raffle ticket can change a life

This is a Short, but very sweet read. Sarah is not concerned with her safety or doesn't use much common sense. Heath is tired of her recklessness. It is a budding relationship. Viewpoints are told in an honest and open perspective by both couples toward DD. It was Enjoyable and Humorous at times.

Well Written

I got this book via audiobook boom. I enjoyed this story. It is the first one I have listened to about the Nirvana ranch. The story shows that all men are not stupid and callous when it comes to the heart. Two people who love each other deeply are apart for ten years. Neither is able to move on. I loved the first scene and if you listen to the book or read it you will also. The humor is outrageous. The story is filled with several plot twist that eventually leads these two star-crossed lovers to the place they should be. In each other's arms forever.

Quick cowboy romance

Where does Cowboy Is Mine rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

I would say somewhere in the middle.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The ending was sweet, and it slipped in a surprise but it wasn't really built up, just kinda sprung on you. It was a good surprise though.

Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed their angry back and forth in the beginning that led to a frisky scene.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. It isn't very long but it isn't too short either, it was a good listen for while I was out and about running errands or just doing things around the house.

Any additional comments?

While it is pretty fast paced in the romance areas, and the story seems to fly by, it was a good listen and wasn't very time consuming. I was vested in the story, though it felt like it could have been easily exapanded with more details and plot points to make it longer, but I appreciate the lack of angsty themes that can often clutter stories too. Alan Corliss did a great job with narration and he was a believable cowboy, I will listen to him in the future but would like to see how he does with a duel narration also.

Deputy Bob is awesome what a great addition

This story takes off right where the last one left off. As we learned in the last one Trey was a very sneaky person helping Bob get in touch with the match maker service giving him one step up on making his true match or is it? Here you learn of all the hoops he had to go through to make his dreams of love come true. Now just how will Cissie feel when she finds out she has been setup buy Trey and her new husband Bob? What a delightful story with a wonderful narrator that really pull you in entertaining you with smiles, sorrow and love. I really enjoyed this addition to the series getting to see some past characters catching up with them was fun.

Ms. Williams does a wonderful job with the narration from her many different voices to her tones and emotions of each character. I did not hear any background noises or changes in the volume just a clear clean audio with I totally enjoyed. Her male voices is as pleasant as her female ones. You have no trouble knowing who is talking or what they are feeling. Ms. Williams puts a lot of emotion into the read really bring the story to life for you. You can really hear the laughter, sorrow in her voice making this more of a movie that really pulls you in. Her voice is very pleasant to listen to it is clear and clean giving an outstanding performance. If any breaks were taken I could not tell, the volume was the same throughout with no places where it was higher or lower just a nice even volume. There are no repeating of words just a wonderful delivered audio that is very enjoyable. I have really enjoyed the books I have listened to from this author and narrator in this series. I cant wait to listen to more.

I really loved how the author incorporates the past characters into this story making them as much a part of it as the main ones. I loved the conflict with Cissie and Bob, how they came together, how their feelings grew and how the story played out when all the secrets come out. Bob Is a sweetheart, it is hard to believe he gets so tongue tied around Cissie. It is just so in Dearing for a man to feel so much passion and love for a person he doesnt know that he is willing to go to any links to make her his. Cissie is a sweetheart who just wants to find the love her friend found. I loved the fun of the wedding how excited she was and how she tried to be sneaky herself.

Couldn't keep my attention.

What would have made Kisses Between the Lines better?

I purchased this book based on the high star rating and I wanted a light, fun read; but it just didnt do it for me. I listened to the first story and half of the second before I gave up. Its written well, but at least to me, its quite boring. I am not the type of person who has to have sex scenes in every book to find them enjoyable; I have quite a few romance books without them and I enjoy them a lot. However, this book didnt even make me laugh.

The book was written by Moshe Gal (Glasberg). Moshe was born in Tel Aviv and worked in many different fields as an engineer, a producer of musicals, an advertising executive, a flight attendant, a model, and a tourist guide before he devoted himself to writing. He is a fighter and an Israeli patriot, a disabled veteran wounded and shell shocked after physically participating in four of Israel's wars.

The book is based on his personal life experience as well as rare and rich and exciting events in his best imagination.
