I love this series!!

I loved book #1 in the series, The Troublemaker Next Door and have been looking forward to Abby & Brody's book ever since.

Brody is a fun, easy going character who is secretly hiding things about his life that his adopted family know little or nothing about.

Abby is a steamy romance writer who hasn't had the best of times when it comes to relationships and has low confidence and esteem when it comes to men!

Both have issues that they need to talk about and address but, when they get together some things are left unsaid, which of course leads to upset, hurt and misunderstandings (jeez, at times I had such a desire to slap both of them and give them a shake to make them see sense!!!)

I LOVE the McCauley Brothers series. All of the brothers and the rest of the family appear in the books - they are a fun, loving and very likable cast. I love Mutt - he's such a crazy pooch!!

I would warn you that a supply of tissues is a necessity when reading How To Handle A Heartbreaker... It really tugs at your heart and you can't help but feel for Brody and how he thinks because of the things that he's hiding!

I'm now looking forward to Ruining Mr. Perfect ~ Vanessa & Cameron's story!

Hot, Hot, OMG Hot

Brody and Aggie romance their friends with benefits research into HEA. Colin is his usual cute self and the rest of the McCauleys continue their interesting lives. Could not put it down. Pops and Notary have a mystery of their own. Sex and dirty talk sizzles.

Authentically HOT

The reason Marie Harte is so good is because her characters are authentic. They have flaws and realistic struggles. She has definitely done her research when it comes to guys like Brody Singer and women like Abby Dunn. The HOT sex doesn't hurt, either.

Hot

Marie Harte's books are known for being hot and steamy and this one is no exception. The characters are often less than brilliant, but the sex . . . Way too many 4-letter outbursts which I find annoying and distracting. She certainly could cut down on the profanity without losing the passion.

Love the second book just as much!

I loved the second book in this series just as much as the first! They both were so funny and romantic. Another outstanding job Marie in your romantic comedy books. Time to start on book three.

I really enjoyed this story. I liked all the people I wish it was a little more detailed but im looking forward to the rest of the siblings stories I really enjoyed the main characters as well as the nanny and son. you will enjoy this book

Average read

Nothing really remarkable but a good read. It was a sweet story but rather quick.

I love meeting new authors

I love meeting new authors. Every authors seems to have a different writing style and I really enjoyed this author's ability to make me like the characters.

Jessa was great. She had spunk and it made me love her that much more. Dominic was sweet but also take charge. He was a great dad to his son, and I felt that helped the flow of the story.

This was a sweet read. Kinda a second chance romance but it was fun. There's not a lot of drama that unfold, which I really enjoyed. One of the things I loved most, these characters were very mature and took time to think more then fight.

It was a light read with some feels so it makes it hard to review. I don't want to fill it with what you can read in the description just to make it longer

Overall, being my first book by this author and it won't my last. She made me connect with the characters and the story and it kept me reading until I finished. So if you want something sweet then pick up this book. It's really a pallet cleanser so to speak. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Secrets, secrets and more secrets.

Some secrets are never a good thing. In this book, Arabelle Avery has moved back home to be closer to family and try and keep her secrets secret. Arabelle has lost 2 extremely close friends in the last few years and 2 years prior, after watching her brother remarry (he had been married to one of her best friends) and finding herself in a lot of pain over the death of her best friend, she finds comfort one night in the arms of Will Garrett. Will has always loved Arabelle but never told her. Arabelle is a doctor and leaves the country only to discover herself pregnant with Will's child. After a miscommunication, she decides the best thing is to let her best friend, Sheridan, and her husband, adopt her baby. Fast forward 2 years and Sheridan and her husband are killed in a plane crash and Arabelle is reunited with her child and ready to keep the secrets surrounding Avery's birth and that Will is his father. Once Arabelle moves home and Will sees Avery, he realizes he is the father and is drawn into Arabelle's secrets.

Arabelle is a well educated and obviously smart woman, so I was rather frustrated with much of her thinking throughout this book because as a smart woman, I wanted her to realize that if she wanted to be happy and move forward, she needed to grieve for her friends death and recognize she might need help in order to move past the guilt she so obviously felt. In the end, she realizes that she can let her secrets go and tell the world that she is Avery's mom and that Will is his biological father. If you've ever lived in a small town like Merritt, you know it's very hard to keep your secrets. This book is definitely worth the read.

Good grief (literally)

I've read the entire series now and you should steer clear of Merritt, Alabama the mortality rate there must be through the roof. First book wife and best friend car crash.

My Two Pennies

I enjoyed the story of Mason & Rebecca. We got the background about what Rebecca was trying to find out in regards to her sister and Mason being the Dom he is was pretty good with bringing a newbie as Rebecca is into the world. Scenes were good I when it came to the two of them as Dom & Sub but overall the story as a whole is what kept my interest. Loved how things ended with them, wasn't expecting that thought along the lines but not that. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
