Seventeen-year-old Caymen Meyers learned early that the rich are not to be trusted. And after years of studying them from behind the cash register of her mom's porcelain-doll shop, she has seen nothing to prove otherwise. Enter Xander Spence - he's tall, handsome, and oozing rich. Despite his charming ways and the fact that he seems to be one of the first people who actually gets her, she's smart enough to know that his interest won't last. Because if there's one thing she's learned from her mother's warnings, it's that the rich have a short attention span. But just when Xander's loyalty and attentiveness are about to convince Caymen that being rich isn't a character flaw, she finds out that money is a much bigger part of their relationship than she'd ever realized. With so many obstacles standing in their way, can she close the distance between them?

    I loved it
I loved all of it the reader was good and the story was amazing it's a grate point of view on every thing
    Teen Perfect
This was a little predictable but so adorable that it didn't matter. Perfect teen romance book.
    good book
reading this book is amazing but person reading sounds bored. that's all I have to say
    Cute!
This book is told in the first person which always takes me awhile to get used too (okay, a few pages) but I think it gives the book more depth. Caymen's attitude about the rich comes from what her mother told her about her past. When she meets Xander though she can't stay away from him. Then one day she finally learns the truth about her moms past and is not to happy.
The narrator was enjoyable to listen to.

Can't believe it's over already, this is once again an incredible book by Kasie West.

    Worst. Narration. Ever.
What would have made Isla and the Happily Ever After better?
A different narrator (ANY other female narrator) would have been an improvement. Let me put it this way: Grace Blewer's narration "BLEW." She failed to grasp Isla's character. Isla is supposed to be quiet, shy & reserved; however, Blewer's narration is loud, IRKSOME & hurried. She used the same loud & grating voice throughout the entire novel, & she failed to effectively modulate her voice-- all of the characters (both female & male) sound the same. Blewer's performance was similar to that of an amateur who was reading a script for the very first time. Furthermore, she mispronounced many of the foreign words (which is abominable, considering that much of the novel takes place in Paris & Barcelona).... Isla is supposed to be a quiet, shy, sensitive & incredibly intelligent heroine. I think that a talented female narrator, such as Julia Whelan, could have truly captured Isla's personality, effectively portrayed the voices of Josh & the other male characters, & pronounced the foreign words correctly & seamlessly.
Would you be willing to try another book from Stephanie Perkins? Why or why not?
YES. I own & have read all of Stephanie Perkins' novels. In addition to owning the audiobooks, I also own hardback & digital copies of her books. The narrators for "Anna & the French Kiss" & "Lola & the Boy Next Door" were fine. However, I will NEVER purchase another audiobook narrated by Grace Blewer. IT'S DISGRACEFUL THAT LISTENING LIBRARY & AUDIBLE ARE EVEN ATTEMPTING TO SELL THIS PERFORMANCE. For the sake of artistic integrity (as well as business integrity), I believe that "Isla & the Happily Ever After" should be re-recorded by another artist & that this particular version should be taken out of circulation.
What didnt you like about Grace Blewers performance?
*** Please refer to my comments above.***
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
In my opinion, "Isla & the Happily Ever After" is the weakest Stephanie Perkins novel to date. I didn't find the connection between the main characters (Isla & Josh) as convincing as the relationships between previous characters (Anna/Etienne or Lola/Cricket). However, the weaknesses in the plot & writing are NOTHING compared to the horrendous narration.

Who needs enemies when you have Katy around
I realize that I'm in the minority here with my feelings for this series. But you see, if you take out one part of the equation in the last three or so books and I would have really enjoyed them. The problem with that is, it's Katy. She's kind of a big part of this particular series, so yeah...
Daemon and his family are with the Luxen that have invaded. The Luxen that are the bad guys, the body snatchers and the ones trying to take over our planet. Not good, not good at all.
***Insert parts with Stupid Katy and the many times she just about kills everyone. Lots of eye rolls and general irritation. Just stop already. Let them kill her so the rest of the group survives, geez! I know, you can't do that. Like I said, she's a big part of this YA love story. Blah, blah, blah, they live happily ever after.***
The sad thing is, take Katy out and I enjoyed the rest of the story. I'm still beyond irritated with her or I could point out the good parts. It wasn't so bad and some of it was really good. I really liked the first couple of books but I'm so glad to have finished this series up. I just don't think I could go on with it.
Perfect ending to a great series!
This was the perfect ending to a great series. I thought it nicely tied up loose ends and left the whole series with a satisfying conclusion. Although I am sad to say good-bye to these characters I enjoyed the entire listen.
    5 stars
    Made it through book 5
I was a completer hater through book 1 but obviously kept reading. This book was the perfect ending to the series. I will "miss" the characters...all of them! Especially LOVE daemon and his alpha male obnoxiousness! I didn't think I would make it through a 5 book series (3 is generally enough) but this completely kept my interest! So clearly I must've like it. Tons of action, love and everything else
    Wow!
This series is so fluffing good! I loved the characters bore that i can explain. They are so well developed. Jennifer has this way of extracting all the emotion from you that she can so that you feel wholly invested in the book. I . Loved . It. I have read the whole series and can tell you it is one of my faves.
    Good ending
Definitely sparked my imagination. Love the hero & heroine in this series. Love the interaction between them. Yummy book with charming characters, Great dialogue and vivid description. Fantastic Narration which adds to the story. Stayed up past my bedtime many nights to devour the whole series.

    Best book of the series!
I love, love, love this book!
I related to this story so much because I was a young mother too. Abbi Glines knows just how to pull at your heart strings and bring out all your emotions to become invested in these characters.
    Bravo Abbi.... It's spectacular :)
    Add it to your cart!!
    Loved Dwayne's Story
I was so glad that Dwayne's story was told. He was such a dick in all the other books so I was glad to see he really was a nice guy.
    Enjoyed, could've been better
    Any additional comments?
The book starts off with the female lead dating the younger brother of the man she ultimately falls for. She was supposed to have been best friends with this younger brother - but the author does nothing to show that. Instead the kid seems like a real jerk. Had the author taken a little time to demonstrate that friendship - it would've made things that happened later on in the story more impactful and the story a bit better. Despite that - I still enjoyed the story
    Loved loved loved
I loved their story. I felt for her because on many levels I could relate to her. A must read and I absolutely love the entire series. I can't believe there's only one more story to tell.
    Amazing
Abbie Glines never disappoints. Incredible love story. Heart breaking at times and sinfully hot at others.

    A must read!
What made the experience of listening to Cursed the most enjoyable?
The story is fantastic. The characters are amazing!
What did you like best about this story?
I definitely loved the story the best. S.J. West tells a vivid story that captures the reader and holds you captive until the very end!
Which character as performed by Christa Lewis was your favorite?
Brand Cole was my favorite character performed by Christa Lewis. She did a great job making all the characters sound different and unique.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I read this in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down! I've already picked up the ebooks for the 2nd and 3rd book.. I just wish they were available on audiobook as well!
    Any additional comments?
    I'm new to S.J. West's books but I'm a fan!!
    I couldnt stop listening???
This is such a hard review for me to write since I really cant explain why I kept listening to this one. I think I have a love/hate relationship with this book. There were so many things I didnt like about the main character and many of her choices/actions were unrealistic for someone her age. I usually dont have an issue with suspending my belief when it comes to paranormal romance but I struggled with this one. All the negative comments aside, I just couldnt stop listening to this one. What was it about this book?? I suppose I really enjoyed the mystery and just had to know everyones deep dark secrets. Although not all the secrets were revealed in this book. Im sure I will purchase the next one because the price is right and I apparently need some answers.
    3.5 stars
    Very pleasantly surprised
Would you listen to Cursed again? Why?
I don't reread books unless I need to remember a previous book before reading the next in a series. I finished the trilogy, so I won't reread.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Cursed?
I loved Tara's interrogation of Bran.
Which character as performed by Christa Lewis was your favorite?
It was a tie between Tara and Malcolm.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Lily's vulnerability and innocence when she tried to entice Will.
    Any additional comments?
This was the best narrated book I've ever listened to.
    Another good YA Paranormal
I really liked this beginning book of a series. I'm just sorry Audible doesn't have the next ones. I have already bought the Kindle versions to read.

With bad-boy club owner Lennox Gates on her heels, Rid is determined to find out the truth. Love Ridley and Link!
Would you consider the audio edition of Dangerous Creatures to be better than the print version?
Always is,but I only listened...and it was great!!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dangerous Creatures?
The Fire, and Ridleys job....one was scary the other funny...Ridley is a mess!!
What about Khristine Hvams performance did you like?
I Love her narrations....I have listened to her quite a bit in other series...she is really good!!! I also Like Kevin Collins too!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I hate this question...but this would make a cute movie, if they didn't ruin it like they did beautiful creatures!
    Any additional comments?
I like this book and hope they continue the series....Ridley is a very complex and interesting character and Link makes me laugh....this whole book kept e interested from beginning to end....and the cliffhanger it ended on has me dying for more...2 thumbs up and a highly recommend!!!
Sorry I listened to the ending - Book 2...?
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The ending was nothing like the beautiful creatures books. I know its just a book, but it still brings tears to my eyes thinking about how it ended. It seems as though a lot of issues are left unresolved, and I would love another couple of books to resolve those issues as well as fix the ending of this book. What's up with the rings? Why don't they get help from family? I am pretty sure the rest of the family was involved in the death of Abraham, and it seems like he would want to take it out on all of them.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Interesting to be inside of Rid's head and get to know her better.

    Format: Unabridged
Length: 9 hrs and 36 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 05-13-14
    Publisher: Blackstone Audio, Inc.
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 175 votes
    Genres: Teens, Romance & Friendship
    Publisher's Summary:
Emma and Galen's kingdom - and their love - is threatened by long-lost Syrena in the brilliant conclusion to Anna Banks' best-selling trilogy.
Emma, half human and half Syrena, and her Syrena love, Galen, need time together - alone. Away from the kingdoms of Poseidon and Triton. Emma's grandfather, the Poseidon king, suggests the two visit a small town called Neptune.
Neptune is home to both Syrena and Half-Breeds alike. But Emma and Galen didn't sign up to be peacemakers between the ocean and the land-dwelling, freshwater Syrena. They didn't bargain for meeting a charming Half-Breed named Reed, who can barely disguise his feelings for Emma. And they especially didn't expect to find themselves in the middle of a power struggle that threatens not only their love but their ocean kingdoms.
In this stunning conclusion to her best-selling Syrena Legacy, Anna Banks thrills fans with more action and romance than ever.
    Members Reviews:
    That took FOR-EV-ER!!!
Too much world building, not enough story. Emma turned in to an absolute IDIOT and the story took forever to develop. Most of the book was spent "setting the scene" rather than telling a story. The vocals were great considering the lack of content. I would not recommend this book to anybody... except maybe my nemesis... I would totally recommend it to him!
    Captivating to the very end!
After the second book you could see how things could be wrapped up...But with this third book, the adventures started all over and this time they were bigger and bolder than before! I loved all the twists and turns. I especially appreciated how the ending was NOT just bluntly severed leaving you feeling unsatisfied. Instead, it was a nice, well explained ending that was beautiful and a very satisfying "close" to the plot.
    Unexpected route
This book seems to be unnecessary. All of sudden the "gift" hasn't just come when needed but is running freely in Neptune. Our hero is missing and no one seems to really look for him for days. Grandpa sends the two into a possibly hostile situation with no warning. Our heroine automatically trusts everyone she meets because they are like them. The story is a little forced. I did not really care for the heroine, but this story made me completely dislike her. I liked the first 2 stories, but just not into this one.
    Unplanned third edition
    Any additional comments?
This book is entertaining enough if you are looking for a quick, easy read, but if you are a reader who pays attention to the details of the story, then you'll realize that this book is full of flaws, that contradict the first two books, which can detract from the story.
    awesomeness
I loved all three books. this one glued it all together. the love, betrayal, new friendship, etc was awesome

    Perfect summer reading!
I started and just couldn't stop!
I don't know why I was so immersed...maybe it was the characters, the story, the narration or all of it together but I just
    had to keep listening.
It was cute and sweet and fun, and filled with that amazing nostalgic feeling of summers during high school. I miss that feeling, and would love to read more books that capture that.
So this one is a definite two thumbs up!
Took a while but I loved the ending!
SINCE YOUVE BEEN GONE was actually my first Morgan Matson book (yes, yes, I know)! I had purchased the audio a few weeks prior to reading it and when it was time to for a new audiobook and I happened to be in a contemporary mood, the timing was right to start SINCE YOUVE BEEN GONE!
I really wasnt sure what to expect. Having never read one of her books before, I was going in a little blind with no knowledge of Morgan Matsons writing style or what might pass for a typical character or concept. All I knew was that shes a fan-favorite and I felt a lot of pressure to enjoy the book (especially seeing it has a 4.21 rating on Goodreads which is pretty high), so when I started listening to the book and found myself struggling, I really started to worry.
I really thought I was going to be the black sheep on this book. I had a really hard time with the beginning, especially with the characters. I never made it to the point where I thought I would put the book down, but it was really just a middle-of-the-road contemporary read for about the entire first half. I really had a hard time with Emily and how awkward she was and I found her actions cringe-worthy to witness. Other characters didnt quite click for me either. Emilys parents seemed silly and like characterizations rather than real people. Collins was goofy and seemed like a bit too much for me and I really didnt care for him either. And even though Sloane wasnt physically present in the book at the time, the flashbacks to her interactions with Emily bothered me as well. The writing just didnt work well for me throughout the first half and scenes felt forced instead of just playing out naturally. BUT the good thing was that I had plenty of friends who had enjoyed the book and promised me it would get better so despite my hesitations, I was ready for the book to improve!
And those friends turned out to be right! I finally found some cute moments between Emily and Frank about halfway through and really started to enjoy their friendship and whatever might be developing between them then I started to enjoy their relationship even more and before I knew it, the whole book was finally taking shape. Characters really started to feel real instead of just a collection of traits on a page.

    Release date: 03-04-14
    Publisher: HarperAudio

    Publisher's Summary:
Panic began as so many things do in Carp, a poor town of 12,000 people in the middle of nowhere: Because it was summer, and there was nothing else to do.
Heather never thought she would compete in panic, a legendary game played by graduating seniors, where the stakes are high and the payoff is even higher. She'd never thought of herself as fearless, the kind of person who would fight to stand out. But when she finds something, and someone, to fight for, she will discover that she is braver than she ever thought.
Dodge has never been afraid of panic. His secret will fuel him, and get him all the way through the game; he's sure of it. But what he doesn't know is that he's not the only one with a secret. Everyone has something to play for.
For Heather and Dodge, the game will bring new alliances, unexpected revelations, and the possibility of first love for each of them - and the knowledge that sometimes the very things we fear are those we need the most.
In this gritty, spellbinding novel, New York Times best-selling author Lauren Oliver delivers a gripping narrative of friendship, courage, survival, and hope.
    Editorial Reviews:
Editors Select, March 2014 - Lauren Oliver penned one of my all-time favorite YA trilogies, Delirium but it was her non-dystopian (though still fantastical) Before I Fall that really bowled me over with its narrative maturity and a complexity that didnt lose steam. And Sarah Drew delivered a truly authentic narration for all four books. Needless to say, Ive been looking forward to her new standalone Panic for a long time and so far it doesnt disappoint. As with Olivers other books, reading this I felt like I was back on the ground in my teenage years, as she deals friendship, loyalty, envy, and hopes for the future in an absolutely realistic way. I like a first love storyline as much as any YA listener, but its Olivers ability to harness all the other stuff about growing up that sets her apart from her contemporaries.
    Members Reviews:
It should have been called Malaise
I dont enjoy writing negative reviews, but this book was a huge disappointment for me. I love Lauren Olivers writing and her Delirium Trilogy is one of my favorites. However, this book was far from being a favorite for me.
At first the story was very promising and there was certainly a thrill factor that perfectly fit the title. Unfortunately it went downhill very quickly and overall was just plain boring. I couldnt sympathize with the characters and most of the plotline I found completely implausible. I get it - Panic is a game born out of small-town boredom, but most of the tasks were just reckless and stupid. Nothing was done out of bravery or honor.
Im giving this one 2.5 stars for two simple reasons. Lauren Olivers writing style is superb and Sarah Drews narration is always exciting and engaging. Sadly, I wish I could say the same about the actual book.
    AMAZING!
    Any additional comments?
I almost didn't read this book because of reviews saying it was unrealistic, but i'm so glad I did. I had no trouble understanding why the teens in this book did the things they did. Maybe its because as a freshman in college I was so recently where they are. These kids play this game because its a chance to get out, the prize money is for some of them their only chance to leave their small sad town. That chance to escape is something some of them are willing to risk their lives for, and I can see why.

Since birth, Nyx has been betrothed to the evil ruler of her kingdom - all because of a reckless bargain her father struck. And since birth, she has been training to kill him.
Betrayed by her family yet bound to obey, Nyx rails against her fate. Still, on her 17th birthday, she abandons everything she's ever known to marry the all-powerful, immortal Ignifex. Her plan? Seduce him, disarm him, and break the 900-year-old curse he put on her people.
But Ignifex is not what Nyx expected. The strangely charming lord beguiles her, and his castle - a shifting maze of magical rooms - enthralls her. As Nyx searches for a way to free her homeland by uncovering Ignifex's secrets, she finds herself unwillingly drawn to him. But even if she can bring herself to love her sworn enemy, how can she refuse her duty to kill him?
Based on the classic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast, Cruel Beauty is a dazzling love story about our deepest desires and their power to change our destiny.

Dark, Unexpexted, Not your average retelling
Would you listen to Cruel Beauty again? Why?
Definitely, its so much more than a retelling of a fairy tale, it is a story on its own with hints of a familiar tale, yet completely new. It left me wanting more of their struggle and their story... Sequel .... Please!!!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Nyx, I always find myself disliking a weak female protagonist, but not here i loved her she is not the all good, pure girl, take what life gives her in silence, NOPE not here, i loved it how human and real the author makes her seem, i think we can all relate
Which character as performed by Elizabeth Knowelden was your favorite?
"The Prince" such a good job with the task.. at the end of the book you realize that it was such a hard task to ... shall we say portray all of his personality
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I did, the story grabs you and for a moment you think think you can let the computer alone ... only to immediately download it on your phone so you can keep listening while running errands
    Any additional comments?
It id so worth one credit, but since i was out of them i spend money for this book and i do not regret it...
    Seemed promising; ultimately hollow
I guess the other four few reviewers thought the book was great, so perhaps your feelings about this book will be a matter of taste. But if anything I describe here resonates in a bad way with you--avoid this one.
I love retellings, and thought this looked promising--after all, the author promises us early on that we're in for some unique worldbuilding and a fascinating relationship dynamic. Both are hollow promises the author puts very little effort into fulfilling. There's all kinds of potential, but what seems like it will be a fascinating mystery to figure out within the magic system of this world turns out to be only a glittery surface. You soon discover that the author didn't really put the time into working these elements out very well thoroughly and just plunged ahead with her shiny premise. In reality, there turns out to be actually very little mystery to any of it, and very, very little substance to the magic system.
