What did you like best about this story?
I have really enjoyed listening to this sweet, and short audiobook by S.B. Alexander. This is my first audiobook by this author. I will be listening to book 2. The narration is also great
What a great book!!! I absolutely loved it!!!
This audiobook was amazing! It has great characters and story line. I'm already looking forward to the next book in this series! It was so hard to put it down once I started listening to it.
The narrator did a good job and brought the story to life.
Lacey has gone through a lot with the loss of her mom and sister. She moves across the country to start a new life in a new school. She is tough but flashbacks from the night that changed her life keep plaguing her.
Kade is a gorgeous boy that is taken aback by Lacey's explosive strong temper. He falls for her and has to work hard to get her attention. He also has some heartache from his own past.
Absolutely delightful audiobook. Only of my favorite stories.
This audiobook was provided free of charge in exchange for my honest unbiased opinion.
    A HOME RUN
Filled with action, romance, love. Well worth the listen. Fantastic story. Great narrator. Couldn't stop listening. Eagerly waiting for book 2.
    A fun listen!
What made the experience of listening to Dare to Kiss the most enjoyable?
I loved the characters and the premise of the book. Its a cool and unusual story with interesting situations and well fleshed out main characters that you care about.
What does Amanda Fugate-Moss bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
She has a very pleasant and soothing voice which she adapts well for each character. I particularly enjoyed her interpretations in the dialogue, and could easily visualize the story unfolding. Nicely done!
    Good book
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I liked this book but I felt it was a little on the long side. I think all the issues explored in this audio could have been done in less time
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
    I liked the ending.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
I liked the performer well enough, but I needed a little more emotion on the other characters. I liked the emotionless voice in Lacey because it went with her character. I felt the narrator paused a little too much in between characters.
    Any additional comments?
I liked the character of Lacey. She was strong in her own way.

    Tears for Carlos
Although this is a novel about Isabel, Carlos and his quietly romantic personality shines bright. Swoon...his humility, bravery, and gentleness is exactly what all women look for in a man.
The gang of werewolves find Isabel, but she had a human friend who gets involved with the gang by association. Ethan has known Isabel since primary school and is always there when she needs him. His death at the hands of their enemies nearly breaks her, but with Carlos' quiet spirit and his ability to calm his emotions, he wins her affections.
The plan is to reveal that their ate other species in the world and they get on a national news station and make their presence known and that another group of werewolves ate trying to take over the world. The judgements hope this will gain support from the humans to eliminate the Ernst.
    Love this book!
The whole series is captivating. Melissa Haag writes wonderfully, and I can not wait for more!
    every interested in the series
I liked the book and would like to know when the next one would be coming out
Loved the story, not the narrator.
Would you consider the audio edition of (Dis)content to be better than the print version?
The print version is better. The narrator has a pleasant voice, but she's not so great at narrating.
What was one of the most memorable moments of (Dis)content?
One of the most memorable moments was the battle in the field. It was well written and intense.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
She takes breathes at awkward moments and she doesn't make each character sound different. I had no idea who was talking until the book let me know. Each woman besides the main character sounded the same and each male sounded the same. She tried to make one elder sound older, but seemed to quit half way through the book.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
    Ready to fight?
    Fantastic
Not as good as the other ones in the series but definitely worth the read.

    The Eternal Cliffhanger
Ok. Great story. Amazing characters--most of the time. Big, exciting finish and then? Nothing! The next book in the series picks up with completely different characters. WTH?? I won't be listening to the sequels anytime soon. I think this kind if ending is completely irresponsible on the part of the author. If you want readers to be invested in characters, you can't just yank them away and start over with new people. Other authors have successfully added new characters without tossing out the old--think Jaymin Eve's "First World" series--so I truly don't understand the decision to go this route. Not a happy camper.
Run! Don't walk, away from this book.
Confusing plot, weak heroine. Premise seemed to have potential, but never satisfying at any point. Made no sense. Bismal ending. The next sequel does not take off at the ending of this book, which it promised it would.
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book and their story. I regret not having a chance to read it sooner. The story is absolutely amazing, I never expected the turns and twists in it. I loved being surprised by the characters and their actions. And the story is so original, I have never read anything like that before.
Over all I have to say, Wow just wow. Brilliant writing. I really enjoy the way Melissa writes, and OMG what is she doing to me??? That ending just left me desperate for more! I can't wait to read the next of the series.
    Fantastic version
Would you listen to Hope(less) again? Why?
I would definitely listen to it again. I love the story and the characters.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Clay is my favorite character. I love how protective he is of Gabby all while giving her the space she needs.
    Which scene was your favorite?
    Vet
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed until I cried at some of the snarky dialogue. There were times I was angry with Gabby because of the way she treated Clay.
    Any additional comments?
One of my favorite books of all time.
Took too long to get to the point.
    Any additional comments?
This was a painfully long book to listen to. The story just went on and on with no real plot until the last third of the book. You got your typical werewolf mate bond/heroine in denial story except werewolf stays mostly in wolf form and never speaks to her. She spends the whole book trying to interpret what he is thinking.

Read the book. The naration is terrible .
The pace and attempt to make every sentence dramatic is actually painful. Monotone delivery and deadly slow delivery kills any interest in the story.

What would you do if you were swept into an alternate dimension and faced with the truth: Life does exist outside of Earth?
When Reece is almost violently kidnapped, her entire life begins to change. She soon learns about the man who saved her life in the park and instantly is filled with questions about who he is and why he seems so familiar. The answers she receives from Levi are something that Reece would never have imagined possible. There is life beyond Earth, and it exists because of her!
As she struggles to cope with this theory, she is forced into a futuristic car where she meets another strangely familiar man who introduces himself as Harrison and informs her that he and Levi are from a dimension known as Pemdas. Traveling at what appears to be light speed, Harrison continues to inform Reece that he and Levi are her personal guardians who are sworn to protect her at any cost.
Impossible! Reece can't accept this and begins to question exactly who these men are and where they are taking her. Her answers come swiftly when the car they are in transports them into an entirely different environment. She is rendered speechless as she studies the vivid nature that surrounds them.
Transported into a magical land? The supernatural dimension of Pemdas appears to have traces of Earth in it, but is still worlds apart. It's filled with classic beauty and an electrifying atmosphere, and Reece is completely overwhelmed by what she sees. But her journey is only beginning....
Emperor Navarre Oxley explains to Reece that engraved in her mind by a powerful ancestor is the key to taking over multiple worlds...including Earth. Evil shape-shifting creatures known the Ciatron want to steal the map from Reece's mind and take over all of the dimensions and worlds in the universe. The Guardians must protect Reece in order to save Earth and all of the dimensions that exist due to Earth remaining unaltered.
As Reece finds herself increasingly attracted to Levi, Emperor Navarre's son and her personal guardian on Earth, she finally opens her mind to this new world and starts accepting the unique lifestyle of this enchanting world. With this, she discovers sweeping landscapes and capricious creatures who transfer their energy to the people of Pemdas. Most of all, she experiences peace in her life like nothing she has ever experienced.
Her newfound peace is instantly replaced with the shock of her life when she is placed in grave danger! Betrayed, the Guardians now must defeat their greatest enemy as all dimensions turn against them. They are forced to place Reece in grave danger in order to make peace with leaders of all dimensions. Will Reece Bryant be taken from the protection of the Guardians and forced into the hands of the Ciatron?
Now that the Key's true identity is exposed, the Guardians find themselves in the greatest disadvantage that they have ever known. If the Guardians lose the power to protect Reece, the Key, every living being will fall victim to the greatest enemy Earth has ever known.
    Critic Reviews:
"Trans-dimensional romance? This has to be one of the most detailed books that I have read that wasnt dry or boring. I mean I could imagine being in the Reeces bedroom and feeling the soft fabric of the couch. I could see Harrisons eyes, and what beautiful eyes they were. Not only that but the plot is actually something that I had not read before.

    Disappointed
So let me start by saying this is not typically what I read, so maybe the fact that I didn't care much for it just comes down to personal taste.
IMO, thin plot, two dimensional characters, and narration that honestly reminded me of those Barbie PC games I used to play when I was a kid in the 90s. I dont know, the voice is weirdly girly and upbeat, and didn't hold a lot of emotion beyond squealing girly delight and depressed, angsty sobs.
I definitely think I just don't fit the target audience for this book - too young for me, and I'm only 22.
Forbidden Love + Family Ties + Lovely Narration
I really loved this story. It reminded me a lot of The Little Mermaid, my favorite Disney princess. To this day, I am still obsessed with that story as I find it endearing that the ordinary is so coveted. I also find that overall, that story is just magical. That is how I feel about this story. I love the role the ocean plays, and the sisterly bond of the sirens, and most of all, I love the love story. It was sweet and imperfectly perfect.
Arielle DeLisle did a fantastic job at carrying the story. So gifted! I will definitely seek out more stories narrated by her.
    Awesome work!
It was a great story and a view into an interesting mythical world, my only complaint is that I wanted more - I think the ending was too abrupt but it was awesome!
    Wonderful narrator
I loved Kiera Cass' other books and narrators; but this narrator has a beautiful voice. Just as I would imagine the Sirens in the book.
    Hooked from start to finish
32 years old and loved every minute. I also enjoyed the entire Selection series by this author.

Things I Like, Other Things Not So Much
If you could sum up Immortals in three words, what would they be?
    myth, surprises, twists
What was one of the most memorable moments of Immortals?
learning about Tristan's terminal brain tumors
What three words best describe Stephanie Terrys voice?
    better in Runes
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It was heartbreaking to learn that Tristan is dying. Also heartbreaking, the changes that Eirik goes through. I felt sorry for Raine because she is losing her father and her 'brother.' It definitely made me happy that Raine and Torin found their way back to each other.
    Any additional comments?
The only problems I had with the audible version of this book: Cora's voice is so annoying that it almost made me cringe, at times the narration was a bit broken (breaks in reading sentences in awkward places).
    OMG AMAZING
OMG this book WAS AMAZING!! SO MANY TWISTS & TURNS! AS SOON AS I THOUGHT I KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON EVERYTHING CHANGED IN A GOOD WAY!! I LOVED IT & I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!! COME ON HURRY UP & DOWNLOAD ALREADY LOL
    Good, but very young
This book seemed a little slower than the first, but it picked up at the end. In this book, the main character seemed even more immature than in the first book. I think it was partly the narrator's voice, and partly the way the character acted. She's constantly crying and talking about my boyfriend this and my boyfriend that, and he 'claimed me', etc, even before he's really her boyfriend. It's hard to imagine that some guy who's been alive a thousand years or so would be interested in this child. It was also frustrating because she knew that certain things were happening, but didn't tell the people who could help do something about it until the very end. I will probably still try the next book and hope it picks up.
    different
major twisted and new concepts. the supernatural beings are all wrapped up in the age old adage love triangles a woman's scorn and the vie for power
    change the speed to 1.25
I enjoyed the narrator more after I change the speed to 1.25. hope that helps.

    Romance Alert
I don't usually read pure romance and although there are a lot of fantasy and cultural elements woven skillfully into the story it is ultimately a romance. Not a dig at the genre but I didn't feel this was obvious from the write-up so be sure a romance is what you're looking for.
I've heard this before. Loved it all the same
    Any additional comments?
Story-wise it's a very familiar story. Proud and vain girl gets cursed for being horrible. And it's only through being cursed that she begins to learn being a better person.
Not that I'm complaining. The author made it interesting enough for me to listen until the end. But I think it's mainly because of the character's relationship with Death and Lo. And the most important of all is Smitha's character development. She really goes from being this really annoying girl (who I kinda thought deserved her curse) to this compassionate and selfless young woman. It's unfortunate that she started out so self-centered that it took a curse to finally get her to put herself in other people's shoes. But all in all, I loved the journey that got her to be who she is by the end of the book.
Readers/Listeners who usually find themselves rooting for characters in Smitha's vein would be satisfied with the ending. However, personally, I feel that there are a couple of loose ends that never get answered (such as what happened to the person who cursed Smitha in the first place and what exactly was this person's history prior to coming to Smitha's town). I get that Smitha forgives this person even without meeting this person again. But it just doesn't seem satisfying enough for me.
But maybe that's just me. All in all, it's a good story. I'm afraid it will be compared to Disney's Frozen. But it is its own unique story.
Those who like Fairy Tale-like stories and the more wholesome romances would like this book
Great for young adults & regular adults!
What made the experience of listening to Followed by Frost the most enjoyable?
The story really sucked me in and it just kept getting better.
What did you like best about this story?
No swearing or sex. Great story. Great narrator.
What about Angela Dawes performance did you like?
She was good on the voices and fit the characters very well.
    Any additional comments?
I'm glad I gave this book a chance. It was easy listening throughout (ok, it was a little slow when she was wandering around, but I'm so glad I didn't stop there).

Instead of finding new heights of self-assurance in her relationship with Bo, Will starts to doubt herself. So she sets out to take back her confidence by doing the most horrifying thing she can imagine: entering the Miss Teen Blue Bonnet Pageant - along with several other unlikely candidates - to show the world that she deserves to be up there as much as any twiggy girl does. Along the way she'll shock the hell out of Clover City - and maybe herself most of all.

I could read it again and again
Dumplin was such a wonderful story about self love and self acceptance. From the first sentence willow dean Dixon had me captivated by her wonderful personality. Being a bigger woman myself, this novel touched my heart and soul. The storyline was perfect, the narration was impeccable and this book had me laughing and crying and jumping for joy.
    Enjoyable heartwarming story
Weight is not a number on a scale but what you hold inside you. Until you learn how to accept it no one else can either. This book is a coming of age story of a young women who thought she was strong until she faced a true test.
Dumplin is a heartwarming story about beautiful strong characters and what they are made up on the inside. It breaks stereo types and shows you never know someone until you walk in their shoes.
This book is not just about the main character its also about all the people around her how much a positive influence can help someone else. Its a story about a young women who is willing to give up some of her social currency to help another.
    Feel good book
Wish I had books like these when I was a teenager, this was such a sweet coming of age story. I loved it and the narrator did it justice.
    Southern comfort
This pageant story set in Texas is not what you might expect, even if you knew it featured a self-described fat girl. Willow Dean is a complex character, and so are her friends and beaus. The narration sweeps you away with a little bit of the south in it, but not so much as to be overwhelming.
    Great Story
This is a story that will touch the heart of every girl and woman who have ever struggled with self hate and yearn for self acceptance. I wish that the language was tempered back a bit as there are many places where the "f" word could have been left out and still maintained the effectiveness of the intended tone. It did not, in this case, add to the development of characters nor did it add to the conflict and overall message. Contrary to popular belief, not all young adults use this type of brash vocabulary to cover up their true selves.
