What did you like most about Outlaw?

Michael Morpurgo is a great children's author and I love this story. I only wish it had been longer.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Obviously Robin, but I liked his father too.

What does Joe Bor bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you had only read the book?

I like the different voices he does. He brings the characters to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wish there had been more of it!

I loved the plot of the story as it was more specific than the legend I heard. However I do think that the voice acting could be improved.

I'd recommend it to ages seven and up as it is really interesting but it can be rather dark at times. One last thing- Michael Morpurgo is an excellent author and I would recommend his books to anyone

The author could have fleshed out the characters more, and he does more telling than showing, but Outlaw is a moving story, and one that will stay with the reader.

A joyful, wonderful, magical tale! I want to move to Finkleton!!! The story is about 3 siblings who move into a deceased uncles home and find a world of magic, wonder, responsibility and learn much about trust.

What a find!

Very enjoyable and fun to listen to. The story is engaging and makes you want to listen right until the end. Packed with adventure and nail-biting moments. I will definitely be buying the next in the series!

My children loved it!

My children really enjoyed this and a long car journey went much more quickly. They felt that the female voices were a bit samey but are already nagging me to get the next one!

Great book

Silverfin is a really great audiobook. I have read the book awhile back and enjoyed and now listening to the story has reinvigorated my passion for these books. I have several in my Wishlist to get ready to buy and listen too

Excellent all round.

The storyline was superb and the narration excellent. I am eager to listen to the next in the series. Most highly recommended.

Totally capturing my imagination

This is a brilliant book to follow the first story about the young James Bond. The reader has amazing ability to make the characters come to life - a griping story which I didn't want to end. Off to download the 3rd book!!!!

Better book & great performance

What did you like best about this story?

Much better than Silverfin, this sequel has a much more engaging plot. From Eton, where Bond never really feels at home, to the strange, intriguing island Sardinia, the story takes the reader on a much more dynamic journey. Well timed switches in POV make it even more interesting. Though I will never be able to stop comparing to the superior Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz, "Blood Fever" makes me fall in love with the "teen spy" trope all over again!

What about Nathaniel Parkers performance did you like?

Nathaniel Parker has a very enjoyable voice. He does individual character voices really well and made both the heroes and the villains of this story really come alive. Will definitely listen to him again!

Great family listening

The whole family enjoyed listening to this on a long car journey - children of 12 and 10 and 3 adults were all engrossed. Of course its a bit far-fetched (its James Bond after all!) but the reading is spot on. There are quite a few deaths, some a bit gory, so maybe not suitable for much younger children. The bit with the mosquitos was painful to listen to... A great adventure romp with plenty of bad villains to be defeated by our hero.

Book 2, as great as book one

My 13 year old son and I are loving these Young Bond series on our car journeys. Very well read. Great story.

Mr. Morpurgo's book on the Spanish Civil War

This is the fifth book I have purchased from this author. I learned things about the Spanish Civil War that I had not known. It is a rather short story, and not my favorite, but I would recommend it anyway. Kit T.

I love, love love this author. His books are so exciting and can be a little sad to. Excellent for grade 3 and upwards. My son who is in fourth grade loves his books. I read them aloud and my Kindergardener is glued to them.We have about ten of his books through a friend's recommendation. Everyone should have them . Great read even for adults!

Yes!

Sanderson's voice is superb as MINA. When I picked up a hardcopy of the the book I found I couldn't read it without hearing her voice in my head. Her voice made funny lines funnier and touching lines more touching...

Skellig Sequel Stands Alone

Mina lives with her mother and she loves sitting in the tree in her front yard. The view from her tree is extra-ordinary! Sometimes there are baby birds and other beautiful and amazing things she can see from the tree, but most of all, Mina loves the night.

Even though Mina bubbles with optimism and joy, her life has not been easy. Her grandfather who used to send her treasures from his travels has given her his last gift, she has a lot of trouble fitting in at school; finding friends and living up to teachers expectations, and she misses her dear dad who died.

In this warm and wonderful second book of the Tía Lola Stories, Tía Lola proves yet again that she is a force to be reckoned with. Though Tía Lola has only a fourth grade education and limited English under her belt, she has been asked to teach Spanish to the children at Miguel and Juanitaâs school. Will she be able to fit in and keep her spirited young relatives from being embarrassed by her strange colorful clothes and funny sayings?
