Fred Berman is among the best narrators for children's stories. My kids have listened to the six Ready Freddy stories over and over for more than my fingers and toes can count. They probably have memorized all the books already. Fred Berman is a genius in sound art. My kids keep asking me when Fred Berman is going to read more Ready Freddy stories? Fun for kids with an attention span

Would you listen to Cinderella and Other Children's Favorites again? Why?

It's great to actually listen to a rendition of Cinderella that's not the same as other mainstream stories - going to two balls, not just the one... who would've guessed.

What about the narratorss performance did you like?

There's 4 stories in this pack, each read by a different person, and a very cheery fairy godmother acts as the master of ceremonies. Different.

Any additional comments?

Would be fun for kids with a good attention span.

Great book

I bought this book for my 7 y/o 1st grader. She loved it so much that we're buying several more " Katie Kazoo" books. Interesting and fun read for young girls. Pictures and short chapters are a big plus as well.

My 6 year old daughter LOVES this series. She can't put the books down. We go through a book every couple of days. And when I read them out loud, even my 4 year old son is there quietly listening. He too wants to know who Katie is going to change in to next.

Great Childrens Book Series

Great series of books. My granddaughter looks these books and reads 2- 3 a week. It encourages reading. At 7 years old she is already reading at the 4th grade level. The cost of the books are minimal. Help you children and grandchildren develop the essential habit of reading.

Cute series!

My daughter loves the Katie Kazoo books and this one was no different.

Great book to get kids interested in reading

I am so glad that I found this book series for my daughter. This is the first chapter book that I have found for that she really enjoys. I didn't have to fuss with her about reading everyday and before she finished the first book she was already asking me to order the next one.

Not like the movie...but better!

We listened to this audiobook on a recent car trip and my 8 year old son insisted on a reread on the way home. Irreverent and funny!

Not like the funny movie but liked other stories

Please be warned this is NOTHING like the movie Shrek! Its much different, scarier and just a completely different story. Theres no funny parts, it's scary the whole way through.. that being said we DO skip past it to hear the other stories. Meryl Streep reading "The Amazing Bone" is wonderful, and Stanley Tucci reading Dr DeSoto, excellent. Just NOT for kids easily frightened, all the stories have the capacity for nightmares, someone is getting threatened to be eaten in every story, and its a bit gruesome. I really dont recommend Shrek to any one whos seen the movie, but the other stories I definitley do . NOT like the movie Shrek at all, but other stories great!

Good for all ages

My four year old adores this (especially Brave Irene and Dr De Soto) but I've also used it to successfully entertain a 2.5 year old and two 8 year olds on a long car trip. I've heard it at least a dozen times, and still find it amusing. Highly recommend.

These books are a cry of relief from the five minute books we usually read with our son and they have already taught him so much about science, nature, and particularly history. Jack and Annie, the lead characters in the series, travel through time and meet with prominent historical figures such as Equipment Queens, take a trip to the moon, spend a day with Abraham Lincoln, land in camp with General George Washington as he is ready to cross the Delaware, and even convince a young Mozart to continue his pursuit in music.

They are well written books that peak interest in subjects young kids may not yet have access to and have accompanying research guides that give detailed back stories and historical guides to the subjects covered in the novels. Although the intended audience of the series seem to be for children around 8 - 10, our five year old becomes engulfed in the stories every single evening, always looking forward to what adventure Jack and Annie are heading for next.

Best book we've given grandson

Our grandson who is 8 years old started reading Magic Tree House books when we gave him the first set for Christmas 2012 and has visited the library reading other series. On a trip with him we purchased the Kindle version of #17 and #19 that he had not read and so he could entertain himself while traveling. He is hooked on Magic Tree House books!

Arrived brand new and as expected.

This was one of the best books in the Magic Tree house series

We really enjoy all of the books in the Magic Tree house series, but this was one of the best books in a long time. We have read all 18 books in the series, that proceed this one. We COMPLETELY and highly recommend this entire series... however if you don't read all the other books, you must read the First 4 books in the series, and this one. Now, my daughter and I are off to join Jack and Annie in Dingos at Dinnertime!

Love these Magic Tree books for my 8 yr old

Love these Magic Tree books for my 8 yr old. He can read them easily and they have nice imaginative adventures. Not, spooky, grey, or too magical. I get them in English and Spanish, which is great! Not too many options for Spanish books, which I need, as my kids are in Dual Immersion Spanish program.
