Surprise!
I bought this for my niece and nephew because it was a children' book with a nice title and a wonderful cover. My sister and brother in law started reading it to them at bedtime and were surprised at the depth and meaning of the story; the book seemed quite different. It sounded so interesting that I started calling each day asking what happened next. The Little Graham Cracker House is memorable, heartwarming and inspirational.
It Is With Great Sadness...
Susan Kay Harkness died peacefully in her sleep at age 64 on the 16th of September at her home in Wimberley, Texas. She was a true American Patriot and will be missed by all who knew her. Unlike Clarence in It's A Wonderful Life, this angel has already earned and received her wings. A bell was heard throughout Texas on the 16th of September. :(
An Inspiring Book
I found this book quite appropriate for a Christmas story. With faith and persistence present throughout the story, its message is one of inspiration. Mrs. Harkness does a wonderful job of illustrating how the best things in life come from within, regardless of the situation that a person, or family in this case, is placed. I would recommend this book to those looking for a good wholesome story about persisting through a challenging situation.

Great read for the Christmas holidays!
I loved The Little Graham Cracker House. It's been awhile since I've read an enjoyable new tale that takes place during the Christmas holidays. I never get sick of the standard, traditional Christmas stories, but it sure is nice to find a new one to add to the bunch. In this story, Mrs. Robbins takes a tragic family moment and turns it around into something lovely. This book has an old-timey feel which almost takes you back in time. Yet, the same time, it's very relatable to the present time. I recommend this book!
