Trusting the Lord

This is truly a wonderful and inspiring book. It is so much more than a family dealing with a fatal disease. It is about walking with the Lord everyday and trusting in His love and support in every aspect of our lives. He can calm our fears and help us to see the beauty of life even in the midst of trouble and deepest despair. It shows that you can struggle against trusting and loving Him, but He will never give up on you and will continue to fight for your acceptance and love.

Amazing book written by an amazing person that I would ...

I literally could not put this book down once I started reading it. Keri's words were so honest, selfless, and God-glorifying that it truly inspired me to see how God works in our lives through every up and down we encounter. I know this is a book I will return to again, looking for encouragement to truly seek God when unexpected events come my way. Amazing book written by an amazing person that I would love to get to know better!

Inspirational... wife deals with husband with ALS. I am truly glad I read this book.

I found this book inspiring. It is sad some because it deals with a wife who loses her husband to ALS. But, i found it inspirational because she relies heavily on her faith.

An added bonus is that this time Aaland has used his considerable skills as a photographer to add a strong and haunting visual element to the telling.

It was like living in Gil's life, sitting on the edge of your seat as he travels through the foreign countries into dangerous territory to buy and trade diamonds. Gil also travels through dangerous territory with his women. This book keeps you very interested waiting to see what happens next. Not only is his life as a diamond trader quite gripping but his personal life is engrossing as well. This is a book that you will not want to put down. Having it on your phone on Kindle makes it a easy way to follow Gil on his intriguing ride. Awesome book Jon !!!

This guy can write! I was hooked from the very beginning. Learned a lot about the diamond industry and political, cultural and historical lessons. Highly recommend this book.

Diamonds , Money, Violence, a little sex, and Intrigue...A great read !

I enjoyed learning more about the sinister nature of the diamond trade and it's world wide reach ...... As well as the journey it may take to get a diamond from the mine to a finished product and all the pitfalls that could occur every step of the way. Seeing it from the eyes of someone who lived it for 40 years was not only informative but was written in such a way that it kept you interested and wondering what was going to happen next..I also enjoyed how the author injected a character that was a professional water skier from Florida ( possibly autobiographical)..

I would recommend it ...a great Christmas gift !!

Great tips/reminders to live our lives by!

I wasn't previously familiar with Brandon Russell, but I am now a fan. As a Christian and someone involved in the field of construction, this title piqued my interest. Brandon did a good job of making Biblical principles very relevant with his personal stories. He seemed to be transparent with his life as he put this work together. I would speculate that I am a tiny bit more orthodox in my views than Brandon. (I'm just completing "Decision Making and the Will of God by Garry Friessen. I believe it is very sound and worthwhile for a believer- but it takes a different view in terms of determining if we are God's will.) However, I do not consider my difference on this one issue to be a reason to deduct a star from this fine book. The points that are made are relatable and just good reminders for all of us.

Honestly, I generally read romances so this was out of my wheelhouse. I still enjoyed it though!

One of the best books I've ever read!

This is by far one of the best books I've ever read or listened to. It was beautifully written and artfully read, but most importantly, it was as I can't stop recommending this book to everyone I know!
