2 HRS FOR $2 - SHOULD SAY IT ALL !!

I love vampire stories so couldn't resist this one. But, although it had a bit of a story with weak sexual encounters it was just too short to sink your teeth into!!

If you're the type that likes 2hr stories for $2 then give it a try but don't waste a credit.

Narration ruined it...

How could the performance have been better?

The narration was HORRIBLE! It was off pace, monotone and actually made me sleepy. You should not feel sleepy when listening to a romance! I couldn't get past the narration to finish the story. I actually came back twice and tried to finish it, but just couldn't do it. I feel that the narration truely ruined this story for me.

Did The Vampire's Consort inspire you to do anything?

Sleep...ignore it and never try to finish it again...

Any additional comments?

I'm sure that if I had read the story I would have enjoyed it, but just can't get past the narrator to enjoy this story.

Vampires...Oh My!

Any additional comments?

I love a short and sweet story. This is something different than what I usually listen to. VampiresOh My! Not worth a credit. But if you can get it for cheap it might be worth it. Its kind of a slow story but I listened just the same. Not as hot and steamy as I would like but a romantic encounter. Sorry, I may not be much help on this one.

NOT WORTH YOUR TIME

This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Hard to say, it is pretty dull, a lot of it is due to the reader.

If youve listened to books by Caridad Piñeiro before, how does this one compare?

I haven't so i can't say, but I do hope they are better than this one.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Natasha Singh?

Anyone with more emotion and range.

What character would you cut from The Vampire's Consort?

I don't believe it was any of the characters, it was the reader and the story itself. Actually, to me the story was boring and their was no meat in it.

Sexy cover and title ...

Bitten once again by the sexy title and cover! Shame on me. Decent book. Lukewarm romantic encounters that could have been so much more intense. But all in all it was a decent audio and story.

Good Story Horrible Reader

What disappointed you about Motor City Wolf?

This reader pronounces every name wrong along with the city names. It was so annoying I almost returned it.

What other book might you compare Motor City Wolf to and why?

The other books in the Motor City Urban Arcane series. They are all similar in plot, but you get so invested in the characters that you just don't care.

What didnt you like about Julie Franciss performance?

Meghan is not pronounced Meegan. Clarice is not pronounced Aris, Fiona is not pronounced Fi-ONa, Alarick is not Allrick, and Jace is not Joss. Every character has also been given a British accent except for Jace who is from Jamaica, who now has such a pronounced accent that you can't understand his dialogue. I seriously considered returning this audiobook because the reader annoyed me so much. It is the third in the series and the characters were established by the first two readings, so why didn't this woman do a little research is she had questions about the pronunciations.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Motor City Wolf?

The book it's self is fine, I love Cindy Spencer Pape's books.

Any additional comments?

I am a bit confused why the other 3 books in the series are whisper synced yet this one isn't and it's in the middle of the series. It really makes no sense.

Sexy Fantasy

I have been eagerly awaiting this story!!! I just knew Fi and Greg would be a smexy pair!! This series really is very entertaining, and the intrigue gets deeper with each new book.

I was so happy to see Fianna grow since the first book. You really get more of her back story here and understand a bit more why she helped her family. She had a major turn in the last book and this takes her even further. She has really developed into a character who is easy to love.

Greg is a yummy growly Alpha wolf!! He is seriously delicious! When he decides to make his move with Fi, he is sure and swift. I love the way he stands by his woman.

The steam is wickedly delicious as always! Plenty of variety, loads of foreplay and hot as Hades!! This series really knows how to get a gal's engine revved!

The story this time was a touch predictable, but no less enjoyable. The pace was terrific, steady action throughout. It was a quick read that I did not want to end. Great mixed narrative, you get both leads character's POV and that makes a world of difference.

Mediocre Storyline and...

The narrator was horrible! I kept hoping that she, that the book would get better...it never did...sorry I wasted the credit.

Author needs to retool book

Sometimes I think when authors become established they are not forced to redo their work.

First - Plot had some interesting and creative angles (like the DPI)

However, there these ideas in itself are not enough. They needed to fleshed out to a deeper level as the story, characters etc. came across as, what I would call, 'shallow'. We are already going to believe in the supernatural. The author had a difficult time writing for non supernatural characters.

Narrator -

I listen to 100s of audiobooks and rarely rate the narrator. Because selecting the right book with your 'one' credit is important. Here is MHO - Narrator's range was not able to handle the shear number of characters (all ages, species and genders). She nailed some, but others were awful. Unfortunately for the listener a couple of the crummy voices were for main characters and so you had to listen to then throughout the whole book.

So lovely!

I love this book! I first read it many years ago when I was deployed to Iraq, and I find myself picking it up and rereading it every so often. Vampire tales are masterfully spun by Maggie Shayne!

I really enjoyed this story!

I loved the combination of narrator plus the writing, made for a very neat listen. I couldn't stop listening till it, I felt almost entranced. made it very easy to imagine yourself there actually 'seeing' the story as it happened. it was a tad

confusing till I got the groove since the writer was doing the 'Dean Koontz' thing and had more than one introductory storyline w/ other characters with what seems totally different stories being told, but she brings both worlds together towards the end to tie up some of the 'wha?' type moments
